Destiny Blaine
Chapter One Tabitha Channing needed her bare ass spanked. No, she needed someone to tie her to the bed, place a dildo in her pussy and then she needed her bare bottom smacked. The sooner the better. Sure why not? Blaming her current predicament on a constant need for kinky sex made perfect sense. If she hadn’t been so desperate to find a man toting handcuffs and floggers, maybe she wouldn’t have placed a ridiculous want-ad for a husband. Tabitha paced across her living room floor. She stopped abruptly when the phone rang for the umpteenth time. Glaring at the culprit responsible for her dancing nerve endings, she took a deep breath and contemplated answering the phone. After the fifth ring, she groaned. Three nights before, she’d enjoyed two drinks with the girls. Apparently it only took a couple and she was good to go. Ruining one’s life only took a few minutes in today’s world. Tabitha’s friends placed a few bets on her love life. Unfortunately, she wasn’t one to leave money on the table. As one of her companions so generously pointed out, what was the big deal about placing a simple newspaper advertisement? A few cheap romantic dates to the local drive-in couldn’t be that bad. What was the worst thing that could happen? Tabitha glared at the phone again. “Yeah, right. Every loser in this state has my number now.” Really, how bad could it be spending an evening staring up at the yellow glow illuminating from the loveliest golden arches anyone has ever seen? Sounded like the perfect first date…for a ten year old. Unfortunately, so far, she’d endured cheap date invitations by men who acted as if they expected her to offer an upgrade to fine dining, on her dime, of course. Every single unemployed man in America must have spotted her ad. When the phone finally stopped ringing, Tabitha straightened up around the living room, tossing a few magazines to their rightful place on the coffee table. Sometimes single life had its advantages. She cleaned house whenever she wanted and unlike her gal pals, she didn’t trip over building blocks and diaper bags. Tabitha’s friends found their soul mates early in life. They often assured Tabitha she wanted to share in what they perceived as good fortune…marriage. 6
Out of the Office
The recent night out was comparable to a full fledged intervention. Yep, the evening was about as dramatic as it sounded but Tabitha had been game. She met her good buddies at the local pub and told herself again and again to be a good sport. Her dumb ass thought they planned to lecture her about losing too much weight. Instead, they formed a supportive group around her, sympathetic arms ready to catch her if she happened to fall and kaboom! They dropped the bomb. Charlene had taken the lead and had oh-so-eloquently expressed their thoughts—Tabitha needed to date in order to find a potential husband. Make things happen. Bite the bullet and ride the bully. That was Charlene’s ladylike way of saying swallow the bullet and fuck the shooter. Humph! That’s about what Tabitha figured she’d find at this stage in life. A male chauvinistic pig. Pushing aside fashion magazines, Tabitha picked up the paper and stared at the display ad she placed. Determined to blame an intoxicated mind for her stupid actions, she swore off drinking. Maybe she should avoid pushy girlfriends in the future too, while she was at it. A content workaholic, Tabitha didn’t have time for a boyfriend much less a more permanent relationship. Thanks to the good old girls club, the best friends she’d had straight out of her mother’s womb, Tabitha had been introduced to quite an experience. A self-inflicted moment of weakness concept; get drunk, get stupid, and later blame your actions on the alcohol. Tabitha’s gal pals took her out on the town. Without a lot of effort, she left her brains in every bottle she turned upside down in an apparent effort to slurp out a good time. It took a total of two. Even worse, Tabitha had done something she couldn’t explain because she actually liked the single life. She coveted her independence and after hearing about her friends and their so-called perfect committed relationships, she had reasons to doubt the pitched bliss her friends described. For starters, Tabitha didn’t roll over every morning and crush her large bundle of joy. This while her husband fucked her rear, using pregnancy as an excuse for anal sex, something Laura Kate explained she never tried until her husband explained vaginal entry might hurt their unborn child. And she bought that line of bullshit soon after she discovered she was six weeks pregnant. Tabitha grunted, glaring at the bold letters that practically spelled out hypocrisy. Some major spender spared nothing at all, placing a print ad, when the same dollars would’ve bought more exposure online. Far be it for her to follow her own advice. The advertising firm where she worked would have a ball with this one.

Tabitha gasped, flipped the paper over and closed her eyes. Surely to God no one in her office had seen the paper and recognized her work, or worse, noticed her phone number. Her biggest fear? What if she fell for a man who actually applied for the position? She couldn’t blame anyone but herself if she ended up with a strong and domineering man, a true alpha type. She read the ad again. “Husband wanted,” she muttered, thinking she should put her house up for sale and skip out of town before she was publicly humiliated in front of her whole office. Oh for God’s sake, she couldn’t think about that. For a moment, she allowed herself an indulgence. She thought about Vince, on of her fellow co-workers, and could almost hear his taunting voice in her head. She sighed. What she’d give for a man like Vince. Glancing in the mirror, she tilted her head and studied her features. Tabitha wasn’t a gorgeous blonde with perky boobs and curves in all the right places. Most men she met called her a ‘cute little thing’, sometimes pretty, and almost always, someone mentioned she was charming or noted her winning personality. Tabitha didn’t stand out in a crowd and she accepted that she seldom turned a man’s head more than once. Still, her brains and sharp wit allowed for the occasional date. She had a few rules in place. She never went out on a third date. Her selfregulated guidelines worked well. She was too smart to jump on a fast moving train bound for a devastating destination. Who had time for heartbreak? Well, she didn’t. If she didn’t go on third dates, she never had to worry about fixing a lover’s breakfast. So with a little encouragement from her support group, Tabitha placed her advertisement. Her friends insisted anything worth doing was worth doing right. “Why buy the small burrito when you can pay more and have the whole chimichanga to yourself?” Marge had asked her, waggling her brows and showing off some guy’s nude shots from her latest web layout. Yes, one drink down and Tabitha talked the talk. Another drink later, she was all-in and ready to slip on a wedding band. All she needed was a willing man. Her enthusiasm that night was music to their ears. Now, it was nothing more than dirty laundry to her eyes. The evidence of her drunken stupor was stuffed in paper boxes all around Kelly County. Stupidity was hard to deny once it was typed out and printed in black and white.

Chapter Two A week later, Tabitha’s embarrassment had all but been forgotten. Her public plea for a spouse behind her, she never thought twice when she grabbed the phone one Saturday morning. She was two steps out the door and almost let the machine take the call but then curiosity killed her better judgment. “Hello?” She fumbled for her keys and tucked a small purse under her arm once she retrieved them. The only thing she heard was a deep, baritone voice. “I’m interested to know if you’re buying dinner.” “Who is this?” She was quite agitated she’d raced back inside to grab a call from an obvious prankster. Her pending work-out trumped buying a meal for a complete stranger. That’s when it hit her. The man on the other end was calling because he’d obviously read the want-ad she’d placed. Fudge! She must’ve purchased placement in the weekend edition. Maybe she just thought she’d escaped her public cry for a man. “I’m Lamar and I was reading your advertisement for a husband and thought I’d give you a call.” His labored breathing came through in an exasperated plea of desperation. “Oh, you must have the wrong number. I’m not looking for a significant other.” She cursed herself and the damn paper for printing such nonsense in the first place. “You’re not? Well, this paper in front of me states something entirely different.” Tabitha’s nerves cracked and popped by the second. Fabulous, fantastic, why the hell did I answer the phone? “You must be mistaken. Good-bye.” She quickly hung up. If she wanted to talk to someone about becoming her future spouse, she certainly didn’t plan to jump at the chance to buy the guy dinner. As soon as she replaced the receiver, she felt guilty for being so rude. When the phone rang again, she answered apologetically. “Look, I’m sorry if I seemed dismissive but if I wanted to buy a man’s meal, I assure you I wouldn’t have placed a public announcement. I work with several attractive men and can buy any number of them a meal.” Complete silence. “Hello? Is anyone there?” “Well, how about starting with me? I’d love to take you up on that offer.” His voice held a mischievous edge and her heart thumped harder and harder with every word he spoke. 9
Destiny Blaine
Oh shit… Vince from the office. Why was he calling? It was Saturday for crying out loud! He should’ve been tangled in the sheets with some buxom blonde, exhausted after an all-night romp. “Tabitha, are you there?” He laughed in that guttural, sexy rasp. He knew damn well she was there. “Yes.” She cleared her throat. “Hi Vince, I uh…had a prank caller right before you called.” “Well, with the post you ran in the newspaper, I can’t say I’m surprised.” Perspiration formed over her brow. Her worst fears materialized. The young stud from the office saw her ad and couldn’t refrain from calling her. The one beau she thought about in her man-does-woman dreams was on the other end of the phone. Chances were good he’d called to rib her and then planned to laugh behind her back for eternity. “You saw the ad?” What a dumb question. He just stated he did. Get it together Tabitha. She continued to mentally examine her predicament. “Are you kidding? Everyone from the office is talking about it. What did you expect? We’re in the advertising business. We took a little poll though and we’re not sure what audience you’re targeting. I said you wanted someone under thirty, professional, well-dressed, sexy as all hell and the women are pretty certain you’re looking for an older man.” Tabitha took a deep breath. “Vince, I’m sorry if it embarrassed you. I didn’t think about the consequences my actions might have on my business associates. I let my friends talk me into something quite foolish.” Where was this act coming from? She was weak in the knees the very minute she recognized Vince’s voice. “Ah, don’t worry about it. I’m just your partner in advertising crime. You know the one you never noticed as being tall, dark and sexy? Ah well, none of that matters now. I’m calling to apply for the job. From what I’ve read, sounds like I’m perfect for the position, if you know what I mean. I’m assuming you are the bride-to-be?” She was dumbfounded. Vince and Tabitha worked side by side and he never seemed remotely interested in her. Why would he? He was almost young enough to be her son. Why would he even look her way? He had countless dates all the time with gorgeous, leggy women who were everything a man like Vince wanted. He dated young and beautiful women in their twenties. They screamed sex appeal. He just screamed appealing sex. Tabitha tried to remain focused on Vince the man she saw every day at the office instead of Vince with the hard body she wanted to fuck. Everything about him knocked the wind out of her. 10
Out of the Office
“I must have a bad connection,” she muttered. “Can you hold on a second?” Without waiting for a reply, she tossed the phone aside. Did he just say he was applying for the job? Surely not, it wasn’t possible...or was it? Could she have been working alongside her future husband all this time? No, probably not, but he sure looked like a damn good candidate for her bed. Besides, what was the worst thing that could happen? She shuddered. What was the best thing?

Chapter Three Tabitha’s heart thumped in her chest. Reluctantly, she returned to the phone. “Okay, I’m back.” She dabbed the back of her hand against her forehead. Damn menopause for making an early appearance. “Great, now about my application,” Vince began, clearing his throat, “you’ll have to consider it carefully. See, I have a few bad habits. I like to drink on weekends, watch ballgames until well after midnight. I snore. I’m up early in the morning and have an abundance of energy, of course that tends to carry over to the bedroom.” Tabitha snickered. She could almost see Vince now, pacing as he spoke, pretending to shoot a basketball as he often did when he negotiated with clients over the phone. “Oh, and I work long hours with the most desirable woman I’ve ever met in my life. No worries there. She doesn’t know I exist. In fact, if she ever takes time to notice, professional behavior at the office is out the window. Do you think this is something you can work around?” She laughed. “You can’t be talking about me. Twenty-two women work at our firm.” “Give me one reason why. I sit in the same office with you day in and day out. I can tell when you’re in a good mood or a bad mood. I know how you take your coffee—black with one pack of sweetener if it’s a tad too strong. Your favorite bagel is blueberry with strawberry cream cheese and you like your tea half and half because you once gained ten pounds in a week for too much sugar consumption.” Where had he heard her talking about her weight? Maybe he was attracted to her. He sure knew a lot about her. How had she missed that? She blinked. Everything was happening so fast. He called her desirable. No, he said she was ‘the most desirable woman he’d ever met’ and seemed sincere. “You really are talking about me,” she stated flatly, processing. “Who else? Anderson Advertisement only allows two-person teams you know, and you’re the only team member I’ve ever had.” She caught his slip-of-tongue. No, Vince hadn’t had her yet, but she’d stayed up many nights fantasizing about their legs entwined, hips rolling together forward and back, passionately grinding away at sexual needs. 12
Out of the Office
Sometimes, working beside him day in and day out was pure torture, especially since all she could think about was an in and out of another sort. Vince inspired delicious fantasies. Now, was it possible he’d become more than just a naughty little daydream? Vince used to fantasize about her. He often fought inner battles, struggling to keep his hands and lips from touching her flesh. Oh man, he wanted to do some mighty sinful things. Maybe Vince never gave away his intentions but he had them. Yes sir, he had plenty of them. “I’m quite a bit older than you, Vince,” she pointed out. I’m the man who will rock the age differences right out of your mind! “Doesn’t matter,” he said. “I’ve been interested in you for a long time. You’re lucky I didn’t jump your bones the first time we met. I should have, you know.” He snickered, thinking about the look of surprise on Tabitha’s face if he would’ve acted on his lust, maybe just slammed their office door shut and fucked her right there on their desks. “We’ve worked together late at night but you never indicated you had any interest in me,” he said, allowing his voice to drop into a seductive whisper. “I didn’t act out or take what I wanted but I’ve been hungry, Tabitha. So fucking hungry,” he said, smiling. “I’ve been dying to sample what you love to flaunt around.” Tabitha didn’t say anything. He taunted her more. “Lately, I’ve noticed something different about you. The interest is there isn’t it, Tabitha? You want me—not some random guy—but me.” Complete silence filled the line. “Are you still there?” “I’m here, just speechless,” she purred, her voice indicating she liked hearing his intimate confession. “Lady, you have no idea. You may be speechless now, but wait and see, I’ll leave you breathless.” He eyed the bulge tenting his denim pants. Then, he returned his focus to Tabitha’s small cottage, watching her walk back and forth in front of her front window. When Vince first found out about Tabitha’s outrageous advertisement, he drove over to talk to her in person. He decided to call her rather than show up on her doorstep unannounced. In the months they’d worked together, he’d never talked to her in a provocative way. Well, too bad. She opened the door when she placed the ad stating specific qualities she hoped to find in a man suitable for her bed.

She gave the green light and he planned to make those fantasies a reality. Not only would he act out on his desires, he planned on taking the woman he wanted to places he felt confident Tabitha had never been. “Vince, I’m older than you. Most people would consider our discussion inappropriate.” “I’m aware of your age and it doesn’t bother me.” He smiled, trying to envision her perky breasts, imagining her body opening up, her pussy inviting him to explore private possibilities. He’d admired her from afar—clothing and business settings placed barriers similar to cross country distances—and couldn’t wait to get up close and much more personal. “If age is just a number then I guess you know what they say about older women,” she teased. “Do you really think you have the stamina to keep up with me?” Now, he wanted more. They’d always kept things professional between them. Now, he planned to do something about the dull ache. He wanted to cool the burn. Vince started walking up the sidewalk, keeping a keen eye on Tabitha’s cottage. Could he keep up with her? Humph, the only thing he worried about was whether or not they’d get enough of one another before reporting to work on Monday.

Chapter Four Carnal images played out in Tabitha’s dirty mind. She imagined Vince’s hungry mouth traveling over her body and pictured his hard-on lingering at her entrance, pressing against her mound. He could bend her over and make her holler anytime. The sooner, the better. Tabitha suddenly felt like she was back in college. She twirled a lock of fallen hair around her forefinger. “I could get used to this.” “I’m just getting warmed up. You started this when you placed the shoutout for a real man.” Tabitha snapped back into reality. “The ad, oh yes, that. Is this a joke or something?” She held her breath, waiting for him to finish up the teasing by delivering the cruel high note of a punch line. “This isn’t a laughing matter. You let the entire town know you’re looking for a significant other. I’m not one to miss out on opportunities. I always thought you had someone at home or at least a special guy you saw on occasion. It never occurred to me you were available or else we wouldn’t have wasted any time. I can promise you, we could’ve been enjoying ourselves long before now.” Tabitha let out a sigh of relief and a little tingle made her jerk in anticipation. Good grief, her body was on fire, reacting to the way he spoke to her with such manly confidence. “Yes Tabitha. I would’ve marked you as mine when I first saw you if I’d only known.” His arrogance was part of what made him so irresistible. “What makes you think I’m interested? How can you be so sure I won’t turn you down with a flat-out no?” “You won’t turn me down. I can offer you more than you’ll ever find posting damn want-ads.” “You think so, do you?” “It’s a fact, lady.” “I like the way you make a girl think,” she said, flirting with the notion of her body and Vince’s heating up the cool nights with delayed passion. “Can I tell you something?” His voice dropped an octave and she was lost, damn near orgasmic. “Sure. Talk to me.” “It hasn’t been easy working with you. I see you every day but still take you home with me.” His voice became animalistic, guttural, and oh so sexy. 15
Destiny Blaine
“Every night I toss and turn, dreaming of you, wondering what it would be like to hold you, stroke you, make…” his voice trailed and he cleared his throat. “I want you, Tabitha. You make me crazy.” For a woman who was approaching an over-the-hill status quicker than a runaway train, she felt surprisingly giddy. “Really?” “Yes, absolutely.” Vince smiled. Tabitha drove him into more cold showers than he could count. He’d dreamt of her often, sometimes riding into his own palm while whispering her name. A few times, he’d wondered if what he felt for Tabitha was even normal. “I never thought you were interested.” “Now you know,” he said. Forced to abandon her image and his own in several compromising situations, he stored them to memory and said, “I hear you breathing. I know you well enough to know you’re nervous. I’ll just bet your hand is twisting its way through that long hair of yours.” Attaching a natural curl around her slender finger was something she did when she didn’t know what to say or do. He’d paid attention. In fact, he noticed everything about Tabitha Channing.

Chapter Five Tabitha stopped abruptly. Was he somewhere where he could see her? She glanced out the window. “I don’t know why I didn’t ask you out. After I saw the ad in the newspaper, I felt like if you’re looking, it was time to tell you how I feel.” His voice turned from sexy to all business-like. He was ready to negotiate, maybe convince her that he was worth the trouble. “So you’re ready to tell me about your intentions, right?” “Something like that.” He was walking. She heard the breeze coming across his cell phone. “I’d rather show you.” “You would?” “Yeah,” he replied, breathing a little heavier. “Open up and let me in, Tabitha. I’m on your porch.” No way. She hurriedly glanced at herself in the mirror and headed for the door. Earlier, she’d been in a rush to leave for the gym. She’d hopped out of the shower, thrown her hair into a pony-tail, grabbed a gym bag and was on her way when the first call stopped her. She didn’t want Vince to see her in the rough! She looked too casual, too girl-next door. Too homely, she decided finally, not to mention anxious. Frowning at her reflection she took a deep breath. When she noticed the twinkle in her eyes she broke into a hearty laugh. For the first time she saw what others always mentioned. Even dressed in a warm-up suit she looked positively cute. Not beautiful, but attractive enough. “I know you’re home, I see you through the window,” Vince said, interrupting her self-assessment. “Open up. I have a surprise for you.” “I’m already surprised,” she said, greeting him. She discovered an extended arm pushing forward a bouquet of freshly cut flowers. “Then you will be again.” His dimples melted her heart. “All for you.” Tabitha took the flowers. “I hope so,” she said shyly, eying the muscles bulging under his sleeves. She swept a strand of hair away from her eyes. Tabitha was rarely off her game, but she never saw Vince, much less his next play, headed her way. Right after she invited him in, he stepped inside and using one arm, pulled her in front of him. He placed both hands on either side of her head. Using the wall for support, his body imprisoned hers. “What are you doing, Vince? Giving me your best moves all at one time?” Each word she spoke flipped off a dry tongue. 17

He smirked. “If you think that was good, wait until I tie you up and make you crazy.” Even though his youthful teasing was refreshing, there was something about his dark eyes that drew Tabitha in for a closer inspection. Her body reacted to his like margarine sizzling on a griddle. She couldn’t help herself. She brushed against him. Unable to resist, she bumped into him again in a maneuver she hoped didn’t translate as a forward effort to feel more of his erection. After a deliberating second thought, Tabitha decided Vince should see how differently she would respond to him out of the office. The inner debates gained momentum. He’s every bit of eighteen-years your junior! She scolded herself but her body wouldn’t listen. Sex rarely has a sense of age and desire couldn’t possibly comprehend the years between them. She’d been without a man for way too long. Clothing confined them but she was as close as she’d ever been to the man she worked with twelve hours a day. “I’d better put these in water. Thank you,” she said, sniffing a few petals. She sounded calm and cool, but her body was hot, worthy of a true cursing. He touched her cheek and she continued to heat. His palm against her skin was like placing hot coals on a fire already blazing. He grinned mockingly. “Water can wait. First, you’re going to thank me properly.” As if casual sex were on the menu, Tabitha pressed against him and this time she lingered there. “Let me find a vase,” she said softly, but she didn’t move. From the neck down, her body was defiant, working solo with a mind of its own. Her involuntary movements continued and she scraped against him once again, silently scolding her crotch for being so drawn to a man’s erection. And not just any man, but a co-worker! She was wet. The way he looked at her inspired calefaction. She felt the heat between her legs and gasped when he rubbed against her quite deliberately too, teasing her with that tempting body of his. He was hard. She told herself his stiff rise was only a growing pain. Maybe Vince wasn’t as sexually competent as she once thought. Then again, what young man didn’t get excited, erect, when a woman rubbed all over him? Vince’s face was red. When he backed away, she wondered what it might have been like to kiss him. Disappointment surged through her veins. She should’ve kissed him. Rather than a humping session, she should’ve draped her arms over his back and taken what she wanted. “I’ll be right back,” she assured him, walking toward the kitchen and swearing under her breath. For some reason, she continually reminded herself they worked together and he was the kind of man who could break her heart. 18
Out of the Office
Vince Landry was a woman’s man, a real player, or at least that’s what she’d always thought. If he wanted her as much as he said he did, then why hadn’t he crossed the line? She hadn’t dared because of the age difference, but more than the years between them, she needed to keep her job and the higher ups would frown on an office romance. Forget what anyone thought. She wasn’t sure if she could avoid the temptation. Not now. They were two single adults alone in her home and the verbal banter between them had worked her into a frenzy of indescribable excitement. “Can I get you something to drink?” She leaned over the counter and stretched her neck, looking toward the living room. He walked toward her, working that easy swagger. “I didn’t come here for morning cocktails. I’m here to ask you out so what do you think?” His eyes danced. “Or don’t I qualify for the kinky husband position?” She laughed. “Oh stop it! You’ve met some of my girlfriends. They’re always talking me into some kind of trouble.” “Sounds like I need to thank your friends,” he said, bracketing his arms around her waist. “Cause I love dipping around in trouble.”

Chapter Six He watched her lips move and didn’t hear a word of what sounded like the beginnings of an objection. “Damn if you don’t have a seductive mouth. Do you know what a man like me can do to a woman with a mouth like yours?” There was little doubt in Vince’s mind. Tabitha kept talking in order to postpone his advances. The effort failed. He needed to kiss her. She should have seen one headed her way. Damn! If she would only stop talking. “So anyway, the girls took me out and what can I say,” she paused and shrugged after she’d stammered and stuttered all around an explanation she shouldn’t have bothered to voice. “I really wasn’t looking for a husband, or a boyfriend or anything.” Too damn bad. “Are you done yet?” he asked, licking his lips and eyeing hers. “We talk at work,” he said, drawing her closer. “We can discuss ads and layouts in the office.” Another step and he was right where he wanted to be. Showering her with adoring looks was one thing, but if the way she returned the favor provided an indication of what she had in store, then to hell with wasting time. He’d take her right then and there. His mind raced and he couldn’t stop the fantasies he replayed over and over again. Slamming her up against the wall. Taking her on the bed. Bending her over the sofa. The images provided too much excitement and his lower half didn’t need daydreams leading him astray, at least not yet. Vince had witnessed the lust in her eyes, the longing she had whenever she saw him leave the office with another woman. Tabitha wouldn’t deny him. They’d waited a year and that was twelve months too long. Interrupting his daydreams, Tabitha squirmed out of his arms and moved past him with the flowers in hand. She walked through the living room and found a perfect spot for the vase, setting the arrangement on the coffee table. She whirled around and with a wider grin shaping her smile, she said, “So how about that date. Where would you like to go?” The only place he wanted to take her right then was straight to bed. Tabitha walked around the living room tossing a few magazines to a corner and picking up the throw pillows in front of the flat screen television. Vince followed her moves, paying attention to how she casually glided across the room toward the foyer where he’d first pinned her against the wall. 20
Out of the Office
Damn, what he’d give to grip those round hips. She turned around and caught him staring at her ass. He should’ve taken what he wanted when she rubbed herself all over him. Like a lost pup, he followed her down the hall. He was bored with wondering what her pretty little mouth would taste like. He was tired of guessing how aroused he’d feel after one sip from her sweet swollen lips. Just once, he wanted to kiss her. Who was he fooling? Once would never be enough. His cock pressed against his zipper with enough warning to alert him to the path he was choosing to take. A kiss would leave him wanting more. “Earth to Vince, have you already changed your mind?” She snapped her fingers in front of his face. “Thought we were going out.” He wasn’t sure if he replied. Instead he became a predator. He cursed himself for being a man more than a friend, a male with impatient urges more than the romantic type Tabitha probably needed. There was an underlying factor why Tabitha never married, maybe even a reason why she didn’t have a man in her bed. He didn’t care and her past choices didn’t matter. He intended to slide under her sheets soon enough. Maybe, if he were lucky, he’d receive an open invitation to visit often. She swallowed hard. Heated glances exchanged. His own gaze must’ve been searing hot because his eyes burned when they met hers. He gave her a more persistent stare. He wanted her to interpret his intentions. Ready-or-not. “You extended the invitation,” he said, thinking of the way she’d rubbed herself against his erection when they’d teased one another. She retreated to a wing-back chair, motioning for him to take a seat on the sofa. “Why don’t you make yourself at home?” She crossed her legs and leaned over them. Her leg bounced. She looked nervous. At work they were easy friends and great together as partners, producing creative campaigns resulting in huge revenue for their advertising firm. Vince stood in front of her. He reached for her, watching his arms extend in front of him as if they belonged to someone else. He pulled her against him in one fluid motion. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t ask for permission or tell her one was on the way. He planted his kiss smack dab where he wanted. He took her mouth first, nibbling at her lips before he thrust his tongue through the seam, kissing her deeply. She tasted like peaches and her tantalizing lip balm filled his senses. Vince took her face between his hands and kept kissing, exploring her mouth, neck, and ear. Licking across her collarbone and kissing his way down 21

her chest, he was anxious to peek, itching to lift up her shirt with his teeth and admire her generous breasts. When he returned to her mouth, he knew he’d worked her over. She eagerly met him in a passionate kiss, hungrier for more and making her desires known when the kiss turned hotter. She gasped and panted. Clutching his collar, she tilted her chin up and moaned aloud, tossing her head back when he traveled down her neck once more. His thighs bunched as he picked her up and carried her to the larger sofa. When he released her, she looped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. His lips claimed hers and a soft moan stilled him, one full of lust and longing, desperation and anticipation. The agony of a woman who knew what she wanted and realized she’d taken far too long to get it. His heart skipped several beats when she touched him. Her fingers danced over the front of his shirt like she couldn’t help him undress fast enough. A masculine sound fell from his lips, low and guttural, hungry and determined. Tabitha’s moan met his and he was driven, encouraged by how she responded to his sounds, turned on by how she moved under his fingertips. His hands slid down her sides. He caressed the fullness of her breasts, moving his large palms over her curves, propelling faster, quite determined to have his way with one beautiful lady. “Mmmm, Vince?” She squirmed, moving away all at once. Her apparent rejection startled him. “I’m sorry, I wanted to take things slow, but I’m not sure I can,” he said, completely aware of his tented pants. She probably thought he was a real jackass. Vince closed the distance between them and cupped her face. “I thought you wanted me as much as I want you.” Damn! What a prick! He just wasn’t going to go down without a fight! He didn’t even like himself at that moment. All he could think about was holding her, caressing her, and doing all the things he’d long to do since they’d first met. How could he convince her to take a chance on him? More importantly, how did he earn his place in her bed and in her life? The urgency and the hunger was driving him crazy and something was terribly wrong with that feeling. Vince should’ve been running scared. He recognized what was happening. For the first time, Vince was on the verge of falling head over heels in love with a beautiful and sexy older woman.

Chapter Seven “I’m a lot older than you are, Vince. The difference in our ages bothers me,” she blurted out. “There are a number of factors preventing me from taking what I want.” “You don’t come across as a woman who can’t make up her mind.” “I’ve never been with a younger man.” “There’s a first time for everything,” he told her, allowing his gaze to take in her voluptuous curves. He eyed her breasts. He couldn’t wait to lavish his attention on those perfectly shaped nipples taking their aroused shape and pressing their way through her thin shirt. Vince tried to be understanding. Since they spent over forty hours a week together, they’d discussed other office relationships, something their coworkers didn’t always successfully hide. He knew the risks. He’d spent months thinking about them. Tabitha wasn’t the casual-sex type of woman. They’d talked enough for him to know that. She’d called him a player more than once. The fact he wanted her probably didn’t mean a lot since she probably thought he was a man other women passed around. She obviously considered him a playboy, someone who would give it to her hard and fast before leaving her to wonder why he didn’t stick around for breakfast. His cock continued with the bad behavior, twitching against his zipper. Damn. He regrouped, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Tell you what, why don’t you get ready for an early lunch. I’ll wait. I’ll be right here. I’ll, umm…” He looked around the room. When he didn’t spot a remote for the television, he picked up a magazine from the coffee table. “I’ll read.” She rested an open palm on her hip. “There’s a TV in my bedroom. Come on, you can watch something in there while I change clothes.” Her gaze drifted over him. Vince perked up right along with another part of his body. Bedroom, she said bedroom? Hearing the word sounded like a great means to an end. Following her into the tiny room, he longed to touch her again but decided to respect her enough to take things slow. His cock continued to stand ready. When she turned her back, he slid his hand inside his pants, repositioning his erection. 23

He should’ve been ashamed. Only, he wasn’t. He wanted her to notice— and expect. He carried the weight of his attraction below the belt. Vince stood taller. Tabitha might as well know what she had to look forward to and if she’d glance down, there wouldn’t be a doubt in her mind. She handed him the remote control. “Are you sure you don’t want a beer or something?” “I’ll take you up on that offer. I’ll go grab one.” He kissed her cheek and squeezed by her. “Miss me while I’m gone.” **** Tabitha was more concerned about the possibility of missing out. After Vince disappeared down the hallway, she paced the room. What a shame to waste a hard-on that size. She contemplated taking advantage of her situation, reminding herself Vince wasn’t a stranger. Then again, a stranger with Vince’s eyes and body would’ve been a safer bet if all she wanted was a one night stand. It wasn’t like she could sleep with Vince and avoid him for the rest of her natural life. The phone rang while she was in the closet thumbing through dresses and skirts. “Can you get that?” she called out, thinking she really needed to do something to spruce up her wardrobe. A minute or so later, she walked out with a pair of jeans and a turtleneck. She would’ve preferred something sexy but unless the local drycleaner provided a Saturday delivery service she didn’t know about, she had few options. She heard Vince in the distance. “Right, buddy. Like I said, someone pulled a prank. Yep, the phone hasn’t stopped ringing. Yes, really. I’m her husband. Yep. I feel your pain buddy, but lose the number.” He hung up the phone and minutes later, reappeared in her room. “Who was on the phone?” She played dumb congratulating herself for playing the role so well. “Wrong number I think.” He didn’t make eye contact when he lied. “Really? I’ve had several of those today.” He laughed. “I imagine you’ll have a few more.” “I hope so,” she said, winking. “That wicked grin of yours will get us both in trouble.” He reached for her. “Come here again, you.” Dropping the clothes to the floor, she decided what the hell. Her body was screaming for his touch. She was eager to find out what a man like Vince could offer a woman like herself. One last time she rushed through the pros and cons of sleeping with someone from the firm. Finally, she said, “It’s not like we’re strangers.” “What’d you do, give yourself a pep talk while I was on the phone?” 24
Out of the Office
“Kiss me and hurry. I might change my mind.” His eyes twinkled and he framed her face. He slid his tongue between her lips and took her up on the sweetest proposal she’d ever initiated, dropping his arms around her waist and firmly planting his hands on her ass. They met one another in a hot and wildly seductive kiss, twirling their tongues around and around. Vince was like a stout dose of pure heaven. He made love to her mouth nice and slow, thrusting his tongue in and out, sliding between her lips deliberately and passionately. Her body prepared for more than a little kissing. Her damp panties provided a constant reminder of where they were headed, what had long since been on her mind. Tabitha unhooked his belt. She wasn’t promiscuous but she was damn curious. The bulge in his pants proved he could deliver and if he was as ambitious in the bedroom as he was in the boardroom, Vince Landry wouldn’t disappoint. His hot mouth moved across her smooth skin, trailing up and down her neck with soft words holding him to a whisper. His tongue and mouth massaged her, soothed her in a way guaranteed to take any apprehension away. With Vince’s belt loosened, her fingers worked with the snap. She gave the denim a tug and worked her hands back and forth until the zipper gave. He released a ragged breath, touching and kissing, caressing her arms up and down. Her trembling fingers moved lower. She rolled her forefinger around the slit topping his wide and swollen cock. She caught his erection with an accepting palm and closed her hand completely around him. “Umm…that feels nice,” he whispered, stretching his neck as if offering a place for her to plant her lips. He shifted his weight and pushed the weight of his cock through her grip. “God yeah,” he muttered. “You’re asking for it, lady.” “Not asking,” she corrected. “Groveling.” She gave him another pull, moving her hand over his size and flipping her wrist in a seductive rotation, massaging as she worked his dick through a tight hand job. Throaty moans slipped from his throat. He pushed her arms high above her head and helped her out of the skin-tight shirt. His hot tongue swiped over her mounds. Burying his face in her body, he reached behind her and released the clasps of her transparent bra, leaning back long enough to grumble when he was unable to achieve instant results. Tabitha stroked him. She could’ve taken him right there and gone straight for the hot and heavy fooling around. Maybe all those late nights at the office counted as foreplay.

Throaty whispers spiraled through the room. His breathing echoed hers. The continual repetition of moans and sighs reflected from one only to be imitated by the other. His lips covered her tender nipple, causing a bolt of arousal she felt all the way to her toes. When his tongue struck out at the point, her body felt sensitized, radiating from the heat warming her skin. At the mercy of Vincent’s creative manipulation, Tabitha’s body became a canvas, stilling against every stroke, every brush. She pushed his pants to the floor and when she straightened her back, his hands followed hers, and together they stripped off her running pants and thong. Piles of clothing landed at their feet. The barriers gone, they would meet skin to skin, body against body. Finding the bed with the back of his knees, Vince dropped to the mattress and pulled her with him, dragging her body over his. He moved like the wind, fast and furious, whipping around her in a lover’s quake, tucking her form under his lean body and staring down at her like he’d never seen anything more appealing in his life. Tabitha’s palms flattened against his chest and he trembled under her hands. She eyed his fidgeting cock, noticing the engorged head with its thin transparent shine showcasing his obvious excitement by sparkling at the crest. Wrought with pleasure, Tabitha spread her legs wide. There wasn’t any satisfaction in teasing alone. In that moment, they were perfect. He taunted the seam of her lips, working his tongue inside her mouth until the kiss turned savage, completely consuming her. He needed to devour her and she felt the longing in each and every kiss. Turning into a sex goddess, she tempted him with secret desires spoken right below his ear. He responded to her requests as her sexual prowess seduced him, first by one move or position and then another. The undeniable chemistry was magnetic, something both of them refused to ignore. When their heads fell against the pillows piled high on the bed, the spark of Vince’s sexual desire matched an older woman’s savvy and her advances turned passionate and aggressive. She threw her arms around his neck and bracketed her legs around his hips. “It’s been a long time,” she muttered, wanting him more with each passing second. “Good,” he whispered. “Then at the very least, I’ll live up to your expectations.” Tabitha had limited recent experience. She might have missed out on plenty of carnal pleasures, but she hadn’t forgotten how to act out on desires when the right partner came along. 26
Out of the Office
“Vince,” she mumbled, watching him as he traveled the length of her body. She’d craved the scent of a man in her bed, the fresh fragrance of aftershave marking her pillows and lingering in her covers. She’d missed the masculine feel of a scrubby beard brushing against her flesh and she longed to feel a man’s lip or tongue, teasing and probing, turning her on. This experience defined a woman’s right to take pleasure where pleasure was offered. This loving offered a one way ticket straight into heaven. Tabitha’s faith in a man’s abilities had finally been restored. Vince’s hands became instruments of pleasure. His fingers plunged into her core, dipping into her wet sex without any regard for time, slowly working past her folds. She cried out when his hand bumped against her body. His fingers danced faster and faster, working in a scissor-like fashion, twirling higher and higher taking their place in her excruciatingly tight channel. He wedged three inside her, fingering her with determination while his thumb set fire to her clit, rubbing the little button back and forth, back and forth. He braced her against him. His sex hung at her entrance. “Tell me what you want, Tabitha. Tell me you want more of this, more of me.” Her breath hitched in her chest and her legs splayed. More? Oh God yes, she wanted more. “Tabitha, sweet, sweet Tabitha.” He dropped his head, scooted down, and went straight to work. Dipping his tongue inside her pussy, performing a man’s job, a task only a real man knew how to successfully complete. For a split second, he raised his head and said, “Let me watch you enjoy me.” His voice was low and sexy, guttural and confident. When he buried his tongue inside her she had no idea where his abilities would take her, but knew without a doubt his skills would give new meaning to sexual entertainment.

Chapter Eight Riding Vince’s tongue was pure pleasure. Tabitha lost her mind to a man she would crave from that moment forward. No other man ever stimulated her body in such a way that made her entirely powerless. When his mouth left her and he towered over her, she shifted her hips, finding the perfect position to align her body with his. “Fuck me,” she pleaded. “Let me watch you.” “Are you naughty, baby?” he asked, clasping her hands in his and bending down to capture her lips, twirling his tongue inside her mouth for a second or two. “Very,” she replied, wondering why he made her feel like a seductress, alive and free. He entered her. Burying his cock inside her, he watched their lower bodies connect. “Fuck,” he growled, tossing his head back and thrusting his long cock inside her pussy. He bracketed his arms around her waist and yanked her forward. He devoured her breast and lapped at a nipple, sliding his tongue over one point and then another. Her body met his in a perfect tempo. She locked her legs around his waist and rose and fell with him. Her body writhed against the mattress. Limbs twitched with nervous energy. And her pussy opened, ready to give and take, accept the full ride and find the kind of pleasure she’d remember for the rest of her life. She turned her head and bit down on her forefinger. Good God, he was working her. His cock strummed inside her, tapping against her walls. Without warning, he withdrew. “Oh damn,” she complained. Her heart pounded against her chest. “Patience, honey,” he whispered, scooting down her body and hovering over her mound. She leaned up and looked down, meeting Vince’s knowing gaze. She belonged to him for the duration. Vince shot her a cool wink and tossed her legs over his shoulders and back. “Believe me, you’ll fall in love with me by the time I’m finished with you.” She convinced herself she already had. Vince’s mouth hovered over her opening and sure enough, he had spoken the truth. Unlike before, the tip of his tongue flickered inside her slick channel, teasing and manipulating, fluttering up and down, in and out. He 28

tucked his hands under her bottom and lifted her to him, cupping her ass and drawing her forward. Tabitha’s hands tangled in his hair and he ate her up. Her body absorbed his tongue. Vince saturated her folds. He sucked and licked, lapped and nipped. He buried his tongue inside her cunt and wiggled his way into her core, lapping at her excitement until all she felt was the rising temperature. She became hot and desperate, grinding against his chin, humping against his mouth, riding his tongue in an incomplete attempt to find her pleasure. “Oh God, Vince,” she moaned. “Come,” he directed her, nuzzling her mound. Returning to his task, he forged inside her. Raising his hips and grabbing for his cock, working his hand over his size while he ate, feasted on her pussy and drove her to the edge, taking her right to pleasure’s door. She slid back, moving away from him and forcing him to stop. He grinned. “I gotcha to that point. Let me taste you, Tabitha. Come on baby. Come for me. Let me swallow your pleasure.” Her ragged breaths filled the room. His eyes were wild, glassy like a raptor’s gaze. Bewildered, she pulled him forward and then immediately gave him a shove, becoming the pursuer when she climbed over him. “I’m done playing,” she whispered. She wanted to take all she could while the getting was good. Her mouth watered. His fingers grazed her nipples. She spread her legs and took him, lowering herself over his hard rod, moaning when his dick pounded between her walls. Tabitha rose and fell feeling the power of his length pulsing inside her. He drove harder, thrusting inside her until she was wild and orgasmic, falling into the alarming clutches of a jarring climax. They clasped hands, moving with ripples, taking their final ride and ravaging one another with a needy kiss. Their bodies slapped together, finding that tempo, working forward with a resonating beat. She watched him watching her, coming down from the first orgasm, knowing full well he’d easily introduce her to a second. His skilled cock pounded inside her, dedicated to finding her spot. He gave her another hard push, grunting when his release shot through her channel and she fell atop him, enjoying the pulsating of his dick dancing, vibrating against her flesh. He trembled against her walls with a softer sensation, jerking against her as he filled her with his release. “Oh God, Tabitha. I hope you’re on the pill.” “You would’ve never taken me this far without it,” she promised. 29

She lay lifeless in his arms, listening to his heavy breathing, the pronounced beat of his heart. “Woman, what have you done to me?” She savored the rasp of his voice. The sated way he slurred his words. “Mmmm…” She couldn’t find the right expression to describe her satisfaction. Delicious came to mind but she wasn’t sure she had the strength to add much more. With a tremor in his hand, he stroked her back. “You were amazing. You’re more woman than I’ve ever had before.” She giggled uncomfortably. “Shit, that was a poor way of describing what I feel, wasn’t it?” “Coming from you, I take that as a genuine compliment. I mean, with all of your experience and all.” “I just meant, I can’t um, how do I…” He fumbled over his own tongue. “Save it Vince,” she said, cutting him off and trying to move all at once, escape while she still had the good sense to run. He pulled her back. “Where do you think you’re going? I’m not done here.” He swiped his tongue over her wrist and cradled her in the nook of his arm. Bracing himself against one elbow, he knelt down and kissed her parted lips, planting one sweet peck at a time. “I need to say something,” he said, allowing his voice to trail. “That wasn’t just sex for me. I loved making love with you. I’ve wanted you since the first day I saw you. I wanted you for keeps, Tabitha.” “Sure you have,” she said, studying his face, hoping he was sincere. “I’m serious.” “Uh-huh. I remember the first day we met. You rushed inside the office with a sour look on your face. You basically let me know you weren’t too pleased with your assignment.” He laughed. “I wasn’t too happy because I had a fender bender before work. The only thing that made the day a success was being teamed up with you but then again, I knew before I took the job we were working together. I asked to work with you and it was one of the conditions of my contract.” He paused. “For the record Tabitha, the first day we were formally introduced wasn’t the first day I saw you.” Her heart raced. She rolled over and rested her elbows on his stomach. “Do tell.” “No, then you might think I’m a stalker,” he warned, arching a brow. “I doubt it. You came highly recommended to the firm. I don’t think you’re a serial killer or anything.” “Good,” he muttered. “That’s a relief.” She batted her eyelashes. “I’m waiting.” 30

He worked his splayed hand through his short hair. “The day Cameron interviewed me, I saw you from her window. You were hurrying toward the building and your smile lit up the city sidewalk even though you were fighting your way through the crowded streets. I guess my expression told a story. Cameron said you worked with the firm and I told her if I could become your protégé I’d sign on that day.” “And she wanted the great Vince Landry bad enough to throw me in the pot to sweeten the deal?” “She couldn’t resist my charms.” “I’ll bet.” Tabitha reached between his legs and stroked him, bringing him to a full erection without much effort. He tossed his arm behind his head and watched her, playing with her hair until she dropped her head over him. “Oh sweet baby.” “Shh,” she whispered. “Remember, you’re my protégé.” He grabbed a handful of hair. “If you’re giving me head, I’ll always let you take the lead.”

Chapter Nine After Vince revealed so much with his voice oozing his sincerity, Tabitha was on fire. She’d sucked his cock until his tight balls slapped against her chin and he begged for mercy. She loved the foreplay and having Vince’s dick in her cheek empowered her, made her feel like a siren, sexy and seductive. The heat between her legs pooled at her entrance and she dropped her fingers to her cunt, ready to pleasure herself as she pleasured him. His eyes glazed over and he pulled her hair. “Come here, you,” he said, yanking her toward him. “Tell me what you want,” she whispered. Her voice held hopeful expectations as much as promises. She’d deliver whatever he wanted. She’d give him everything he craved. “How about I show you?” He lifted her up, positioning his cock right at her center. When he released her, he moaned aloud and hammered inside her, rushing for a quick entry and marking his place inside her. Vince’s cock thrummed inside her body and he rolled over, tucking her under him. He screwed her, thrusting between her folds until they were panting, gasping, and groveling for much, much more. He came. She came. He screamed. She cried. The emotions of erotic pleasures blended with something so close to love, she shivered, wondering if she’d ever be able to guard her heart. “You okay?” he asked. Beads of sweat rolled off his brow. “God, yes,” she whispered. “More.” “Damn,” he said, spreading her legs and watching his cock impale her. “I could get used to this.” He screwed himself tighter into her channel, gripping her knees and pushing himself forward. He wedged his cock inside her pussy until she shouted out in sheer delight, her body undulating with the orgasms rolling over her, feeling him fill her with his hot release. Growing weaker by the minute as their pleasure brought them together, Tabitha realized their intimacy grew; welding them together in some kind of unspoken union. When they fell against the bed again, sated and exhausted, she said, “You’ll grow tired of me if we’re working together and sleeping together.”

Out of the Office
“No, in fact I’m looking forward to the fringe benefits of sleeping with you. Maybe if I’m in your bed, holding you and caressing you, I won’t face so many sleepless nights thinking of what I’d give to hold you, fuck you, love you.” She held her breath. He said love. “Vince…” “Tabitha, let me finish. You always interrupt me at the office and I let you because you know your stuff. But right now, I’m sure you don’t know what I’m going to say.” “Sounds serious.” She narrowed her eyes. She had a difficult time focusing on a major discussion with sex still on her mind and his earlier impassioned kisses still burning her dry lips. “You ran an ad for a husband. I’m not ready to propose marriage and I know you well enough to know you’re not ready to marry, but,” he hurried forward probably in an effort to avoid an interruption, “I can make you happy. Tabitha, I want you to give us a try before you try an all-out dating scheme to find Mr. Right. Maybe he’s been trying to get your attention for a long time and you failed to notice.” “Knock it off with the third person.” She sat up and reached for her clothes. “I enjoyed you Vince,” she said, unable to resist a little self preservation. “But you’re the type of man who could hurt me and that isn’t something I’m willing to risk, especially at my age. I can’t put my heart in the same hands holding the keys to my career.” “Yes you can,” he said, smiling. “No I can’t,” she stated flatly. “We make a good team at work. Things wouldn’t be that easy outside of the office. I’m older than you and believe me age matters when one ages quicker than the other. Our goals are different and our lives are aimed in different directions.” A dry chuckle fell from his lips. He pulled her to him, yanking her so quickly she landed with a thud against his chest. Tilting her chin, he looked into her eyes. “I’m sure we have different ideas, various independent goals, but regardless of those, we’re damn good together in the office and we’re something else in the bedroom. If you’ll give us a chance, I promise you’ll never want another man. What do you say?” Before she could say anything, he was all over her again. His hands moved and his tongue lapped. His lips kissed and his dick tapped, sliding in and out of her pussy before she had an opportunity to deny him. He consumed her senses. If he was using sex to get his way, it was working. Like a charm. Yes, they were quite a pair. In the boardroom and the bedroom. In the office and out of the office. After a full day of romping here and fucking there, he cradled her in his arms and proposed the question again. “Now Tabitha, tell me what you were saying about growing tired of one another.” 33
Destiny Blaine
Exhausted, she closed her eyes and snuggled against him. “I’m afraid to say anything more. After a day with you in my bed, I’ll never want to leave this house again.” “Considering the ad you ran, somebody needed to work your little body over and teach you a lesson.” “You’re the man for the job,” she said, conceding. “You’d better believe it,” he assured her. “And after a long engagement, who knows what we’ll have to look forward to, right?” She giggled. “Sure, who knows?” He kissed her forehead. “I’m serious, Tabitha. That’s where we’re headed and if you don’t believe me, give me another day or two, and you’ll beg me to set a date.” “Yeah, yeah, yeah. You’re such a womanizer. You always say what you think a woman wants to hear.” “I’ve had an excellent teacher,” he said, reaching for her again. She held the blanket firmly against her chest. “If you keep this up we’ll be planning a wedding by this time next weekend. You’re going to have to stay on your side of the bed, young man.” He kissed her forehead. “What I am is a lucky man. I had the good sense to know if I didn’t answer your ad, some other smart fellow might take what belonged to me.” “You think so?” His expression turned serious. “I know so, Tabitha. And you should too, now. You belong to me. You’ve been mine since the day I saw you on that sidewalk and claimed you as mine.” “Then I guess my money was well spent,” she said. “Yes,” he agreed. “You certainly captured the attention of your intended target audience, didn’t you?” “I hit the bull’s eye if you ask me.” “Yeah?” he asked, pressing his cock against her hip. “Tell me how you plan to reap the rewards of a well-orchestrated advertising campaign.” “You have to ask?” He chuckled. “No honey. I have a pretty good idea of where we go from here.”
