Brennus Witch The Ancient Stone By DJ Manly
Chapter One hey are too beautiful together,” he said,
“Twatching as Darien rose off the ground with
Brennus and pushed him against the tree. “You shouldn’t play around with that stuff,” his friend cautioned. “What if they found out you’d been spying on them with that mirror?” “They never would. And it’s not a mirror. It’s a stone which reflects images. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Soon, they’ll both be my slaves. I’ll be able to make them do anything I want.” The young man standing beside him shook his head. “I don’t know, Melvin. What if your uncle finds out…or…or Brennus and Darien discover what you’re up to? They’ll kill you.” Melvin held up the ancient stone. It was flat and oval, and slightly bigger than the palm of his hand. “This stone can command all the undead.” He glanced back into the mirror and licked his lips as he watched Darien passionately kissing Brennus’s chest. He fingered his own cock for a second. “They are so beautiful together, but soon, 1
DJ Manly Brennus will be mine. And if Darien wants him, he’ll have to beg.” He turned to his friend. “And if you’re a good boy, Stevie, I’ll let you watch.” His friend laughed. “Intriguing, but dangerous. And when are you going to tell me where you got that?” He shrugged. “Does it matter?” “No…I suppose not,” he said hesitantly, “but I’m assuming that whoever you took it from may want it back?” Melvin stared at Stevie for a moment. “Yes, but they won’t get it.” He glanced back at the stone. The image had faded, but it was enough to sustain him through the night. **** “Brennus! I can’t believe you did this,” Darien let out a yelp. He looked like a kid suddenly. Brennus smiled, folding his arms across his chest, watching as Darien skipped around the empty living room like a child. He was pleased Darien hadn’t lost those human like emotions Brennus found difficult to hold on to. Perhaps it had been too long. He was certain if not for Darien, he wouldn’t be able to recall any of them anymore. “So, what do you say?” “Anna is going to flip.” Brennus titled his blond head. “It’s not fair to 2
Ancient Stone keep you apart. She loves you so. There’s no reason we can’t live nearby, and you can become more involved in her life. Maybe you could work in the shop again in the evenings. You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” Darien eyed him. “What are you doing?” “I’m buying you a house.” “No, not that. I mean,” he came toward him slowly, “where is this coming from? Are you feeling guilty for turning me back into a vampire?” “No.” “I don’t believe you, Brennus. You had no choice really. It was either that or death. Would you have rather of lost me altogether?” “No,” he said. “And at least now I’m yours rather than Marcel’s.” Brennus sighed. He looked at him for a long time, his beautiful witch. When Marcel had been working for Vortimere, he had turned Darien. It had practically broken his heart to see Darien’s life ripped away and by a vampire he had made himself. When he became mortal again, it was like a gift, but it was temporary. It was true that he’d had no choice. He had to either turn him or lose him forever. “I’m a coward,” he said softly, lowering his head. Darien touched his face. “No, you’re no 3
DJ Manly coward. You’re the bravest soul I know. You saved the world. You were destined to do that, my Golden God. Why would you ever see yourself as a coward?” “I couldn’t bear to lose you. I turned you because of my own selfishness. I…” “Brennus!” Darien shook his head. “You’ve given me the greatest gift any one could give. You’ve given me eternity with you.” He kissed his lips tenderly. “To kiss that mouth for the rest of time, that alone would be worth it. Now, stop this mourning. Onto other things. This house.” He whirled around again. “I want it.” Brennus nodded. “Your wish is my command.” Darien laughed. “When can we tell Anna? And will you go back to the university to teach?” “If you want me to.” “No, I want you to want to. Do you?” He nodded. “Yes. I believe I do.” Darien laughed out loud. He raced into his arms and hugged him tight, covering his face with kisses. Brennus smiled at him indulgently. “Finally, normalcy.” “Yes, or some semblance of normalcy.” Brennus kissed the top of his head, “We’ll be as normal as two vampires can possibly be, that is.” **** 4
Ancient Stone
His uncle was calling to him, but he was locked in a dream, a dream where only he and Brennus existed. Brennus stroked his cock. His eyes were glowing red. He could see his sharp teeth appear, ready to sink into his flesh, make him his forever. “Yes, my love,” he mumbled. “Bite me, fuck me, take me away.” “Mel, school. Get up now!” Melvin groaned and turned over in bed. “I’m staying home today, it’s my birthday, remember?” He was nineteen today, too old for school. Besides, he had better things to do. “You get out of that bed, Melvin James Gagney,” his uncle yelled, bursting into the room. “You’re not too old to whop.” Melvin opened his eyes and sat up. “It’s my birthday,” he groaned. “Yes, I know and we’ll do something special tonight. But you have to go to school. You’re graduating this year. You have exams.” “Not today,” he cried, falling back into bed. Jacob Gagney glared at him, then pointed to the bathroom. “Up, now. I’ll drive you. You’re already late.” Melvin dragged himself out of bed. His uncle left the room. He stared at himself in the mirror. Yuck. That new medication the dermatologist had prescribed hadn’t done much for the acne, and all 5
DJ Manly those extra hours with the weights in the basement didn’t seem to put an ounce of muscle on his bones. He was destined to be ugly. How in the hell could he hit the gay bars and compete with all those beauties out there. He tried once, walking into one, and when he saw what was coming out of them, he walked the other way. All gorgeous with clear skinned smiles. They’d laugh him out the door. In the shower, he closed his eyes. “Brennus will want me,” he said softly, stroking himself. “He’ll think I’m beautiful.” In fact, he wouldn’t have a choice. When he finally came out of the shower and pulled on jeans and a sweatshirt, he took one more minute to check on the stone. He had hidden it in a box under his bureau. No one would find it there. His uncle bought him a breakfast sandwich on the way and he wolfed it down as he talked about the monthly coven meeting. “I want you to show them the new spells you have written,” his uncle said with a smile, pulling up in front of the high school. “Okay,” Mel said. “I’ll need to stop by the Grinning Moon and pick up some ingredients. I’m getting low.” His uncle nodded. “Okay. I can take you after school if you like. Need money?” 6
Ancient Stone “No, no,” he said, getting out. “I have money and I’ll walk.” “Okay, but don’t be too late, we’re going to dinner. Just the two of us.” “K,” he said, raising a hand. It had always been just the two of them, ever since the accident. They’d been on a family holiday in the mountains. He’d been in the car with his uncle up ahead, insisting on riding in his uncle’s new convertible. His parents, along with his cousin and his aunt were piled into the trailer behind them. No one saw the semi barrelling down the mountain road until it was too late. The trailer tipped off the road and fell into the water below. His uncle had turned the wheel just in time to save them from the same fate. It was a long time ago, but sometimes it felt like yesterday. His uncle was all he had, but now at nineteen, he needed something his uncle couldn’t give him. He needed Brennus. Mel snapped himself back into reality, realising that his uncle was long gone. He turned around the corner, past the school, and continued on his way. Due to the unusual activity in the past year, anyone who was on the inside of the Wicca religion now knew the truth. The world was not as it appeared. There were darker forces at work, demons who if given a chance would come through the portal and wreak havoc—a portal that 7
DJ Manly was not quite as sturdy as everyone thought. Up until that time, even members of his uncle’s coven had no proof, but now they all knew. Danger had reinforced the covens, made them stronger. His uncle had joined Wicca a few years after the accident, finding solace in magic. He swore he could communicate with Aunt Carol, but Mel didn’t believe that. He had tried with his own parents and failed. The dead were the dead, or at least he thought so, until the stone. When all hell had broken loose a few months ago no one knew who had opened the portal, but they knew it had to be a witch. But what witch would be that stupid and for what reason? Who ever had done it, their identity had been kept a secret. It was rumoured that it had been done by accident. When Mel heard about the prophesy, a story which had been handed down in some secret book, he laughed…a golden god, an immortal, born in pain, who would save the world from evil? It was ridiculous. But then his uncle took the members of the coven to see Zendle, a weird old wizard-like crone who’d been ostracized years ago for something Melvin didn’t really get. Zendle showed them the prophesy. Brennus Monroe had been an ancient Druid Priest. Some other priest called Vortimere had developed a big honking crush on him. Brennus, 8
Ancient Stone however, was hung up on some other dude, and Vortimere was pissed—so pissed he sexually violated and tortured him before burning him at a stake. Gross. After that, it got fuzzy. Apparently, three deities of some sort resurrected Brennus. He became a vampire, but these three ladies had foreseen the future and they chose Brennus to be the one who would save the world from future demons. It was a bizarre story, but apparently true, and when he and the other members of the coven saw what was going on with the demons, they finally believed. Non Wicca people put all the havoc down to big storms and wild animals on the loose. Man, these people could find a logical explanation for anything. The good news was that Brennus defeated the dark forces and things eventually returned to normal, so for that they were grateful. But then Mel saw his image and he remembered seeing him before at the Grinning Moon. And from that day forth, he knew he had to have him. Mel sped up when he saw the Grinning Moon come into sight. This was his favourite hangout as a kid. Shortly after his parents were killed in that accident, his uncle took him in and he discovered Wicca. Whenever his uncle brought him here for supplies, he’d walk around, touching all the little bottles, and inhaling the scents. It still smelled the 9
DJ Manly same. He remembered Darien, the young proprietor of the shop, dark hair, smiling eyes, soft spoken and very handsome. A few times a year their covens would come together for special occasions, and he’d caught sight of him again. But there were whispers of sexual decadence among Darien’s members, and his uncle was never enthusiastic about the reunions. Although Wicca was open about sexuality, his uncle could be a little conservative when it came to being too demonstrative. Mel kept coming to the Grinning Moon, even when his uncle decided to patronize another occult shop. He’d often come just to talk to Darien, who was always congenial. It was there at the Grinning Moon that he first saw Brennus. It had been around eight o’clock in the evening, shortly before the shop was due to close. Mel had been lonely and bored, a socially inept fourteen year old with bad skin. The handsome, young witch always made him feel welcome and, he had to admit, he’d developed a bit of a crush on him. He’d been disappointed to see the closed sign hanging on the door. He peered in the window and then he saw him. Mel’s heart almost stood still. He looked like an angel. He was absolutely beautiful, tall, broad shoulders, hair the colour of spun gold. Darien had placed his arms around his 10
Ancient Stone shoulders and they kissed. It was the most incredible thing Mel had ever seen. His heart almost stopped for a second. Then as if sensing something, Brennus put Darien away from him and walked toward the door. Mel caught one glimpse of his face, his eyes glowed blood red and his teeth, his sharp teeth appeared on either side of his mouth. Mel ran as fast as he could, not stopping until he reached his room where he jumped into bed and trembled all night long. After that, he couldn’t stop thinking about Brennus. When he’d recovered from the fear, he began to have erotic dreams about him. He looked up everything he could on vampires. He became obsessed with them, collecting films and figurines. He went often to the Grinning Moon after that, hoping to see Brennus again. He never did. And shortly after that, Darien disappeared from sight and the Grinning Moon was closed. The next time he saw Brennus had been in a book that old wizard had shown his uncle. Mel opened the door of the Grinning Moon now and smiled at Anna. “Hey,” he said. Anna looked up from the book she was reading and smiled back. “Hi, Mel. How’s it going?” “Great. What cha’ reading?” “A gushy vampire novel. Nothing you’d be interested in.” “Oh really? Girlie stuff, eh?” 11
DJ Manly She laughed and put down her paperback. “What can I get for you this time?” “Damiana, fennel, and galangal.” “Whoa.” Anna laughed. “You in love?” She came out from behind the counter and led him to a shelf near the window. “Love, ah, no.” “Don’t use damiana and galangal together. You’ll give the poor girl hot flashes.” “Ah…no, it’s not for that.” “Oh?” She raised an eyebrow. “So you look chipper today, Anna. What gives?” “My brother and his boyfriend have moved back to town. They’re buying a house nearby and Darien is even going to help me in the shop again.” “Oh?” He cleared his throat, taking the fennel from her. “I was wondering what happened to your brother. I remember him as a kid. He just kind of fell out of sight.” “Yeah, well…oh here’s the damiana, it’s popular. I’ll have to reorder. Looks like you got the last one. It’s very potent. Only use a little.” He nodded. “Okay. Did he go off to live somewhere else for awhile?” “Yeah.” She handed him another bottle. “Galangal. There you go.” “So is it a nice house?” he asked casually, 12
Ancient Stone following her back to the counter. “Don’t know.” She shrugged. “Haven’t seen it yet.” “Near here?” She took the bottles from him and began ringing them in on the cash. “Yeah. That will be thirty-two, nineteen.” Mel fished some money out of his jeans. “So when will I see Darien?” She laughed. “Mel, why are you so anxious to see my brother?” “Well,” he said, looking shy, “I had a little crush on him when I was a kid.” “Oh.” She grinned. “Well, I don’t know.” She put the bottles in a bag. “Whenever he decides to show up. He and his boyfriend are kind of bohemian.” “So what’s his boyfriend like? Anyone I can challenge?” he teased. Anna looked at him, a funny smile on her face. “I don’t think you’d want to.” He shrugged and sighed deeply. “Oh well, woe is me.” Anna laughed at him and waved goodbye as Mel walked out.

Chapter Two shook her head. “Darien, really, red?” Anna“Only one wall,” he said. “I’m partial to
red.” “I get it and yuck.” He laughed and gave her a quick hug. “Double yuck.” She made another face. “Where is Mr. Saviour of the World?” “Better not let Brennus hear you say that.” “Probably off biting someone,” she mumbled. “Actually,” a deep voice said suddenly, “I was contemplating a little dinner. Care to volunteer?” Anna turned on her heel, sucking in some breath. “Brennus, stop sneaking up on people, it’s ah…spooky.” He gave her a faint smile and bowed his head elegantly. “Forgive me, my lady.” Darien chuckled. “He doesn’t do it on purpose.” “So a pint should do,” he said, raising an eyebrow at Anna. 14
Ancient Stone “Forget it,” she said, pursing her lips. “Anna, he’s teasing you,” Darien said. “I know. Instead of teasing me, Mr. Monroe, could you please talk your lover out of painting this wall red?” “Anna, when do you think I have ever been able to talk your brother out of anything?” “I’m sure you have your ways.” “Oh, he does,” Darien murmured, coming over and wrapping himself around Brennus. “Bedroom,” she said, clicking her tongue. Darien laughed again, stroking Brennus’s hair. “Okay,” he sighed, moving away from him. He looked at his sister. “You paint the living room.” “Me?” “Yeah, but no pinks, or violets.” “I have so many ideas.” She hugged Darien’s neck. “I can’t believe this. I can’t believe you’re back and so close.” “Thank your brother-in-law.” She grinned at Brennus. “Thanks, handsome.” He shook his head. “First she hates me, then she loves me.” “Oh stop. I love you both, even if you’re both a little weird and…ah…cold. I hope you put some heat on in here.” Darien placed his hand on the back of her neck and she yelped. “No fair.” She pushed him away. Even Brennus laughed at that. 15
DJ Manly “Okay, I’ll think about the colour. And furniture? Are you going to have any or only a bed?” “Ha, ha,” Darien said. “Of course we’ll have furniture. Vampires need to sit down occasionally, even if it’s just for appearance.” “They don’t need to sit down?” “Well, technically no, but it eases the boredom of standing all the time.” Anna laughed. Brennus shook his head and left the room. “Can I pick out all the furniture?” “Sure.” Darien shrugged. “Why not? Just don’t make my house look like a mausoleum.” “Do you guys have like a crypt in the basement or…” “Anna.” He gave her a gentle push. “Go home now.” She giggled and kissed him goodbye. “Does Brennus feel cold like that to you?” “No. Not anymore. When I was a mortal, he did, especially if he needed to feed.” “Okay, too much information. I hope you get back to the store in time for inventory.” “I will,” he nodded. “I’ll come in tomorrow night and help you.” “Thanks,” she said. As soon as Anna had left, Brennus came up 16
Ancient Stone behind him and wrapped his arms around Darien. They both watched her walk around the corner to the house. “You think we’re too close?” Darien asked, glancing up at him. “She’s going to be here constantly.” Brennus shrugged. “If she becomes bothersome, I’ll just eat her for dinner.” Darien punched him in the arm. “You’re not going to eat my sister!” Brennus laughed as Darien turned around his arms. “Okay, can I eat you?” “Ummm, baby, yeah. Do it.” “We have no bed yet.” “When has that ever stopped us? Get those clothes off.” Darien slowly undid the buttons of Brennus’s black shirt and watched as it slid off his broad shoulders. The sound of the material falling to the floor fuelled his anticipation. He loved these vampire senses. He allowed his finger tips to rake over Brennus’s delicious chest, pausing at his nipples, then moving down to his pants. Brennus just watched him quietly. His Brennus, strong, beautiful, silent…driving him to distraction. Brennus did utter a soft laugh as Darien got hung up on the top button of his pants. “Why do you need clothes?” he muttered. “I suppose I could constantly walk around in a state of undress, awaiting your every pleasure.” 17
DJ Manly Darien nodded, yanking down the zipper. “Good idea,” he said, following the path of Brennus’s pants as they plunked to the floor at his feet. “At least there’s no underwear.” He dropped to his knees and removed Brennus’s shoes, and pushed away the material which was serving as a great source of irritation at the moment. He kissed Brennus’s calf, moved up to the inside of his thigh and licked him there, tightening his hold on his delectable ass, letting the head of his erection brush his lips. “You’re always hard.” “You, too.” “Is it a vampire thing?” He looked up at him, fondling his cock. “No, I believe it’s a love thing.” Darien melted. He pressed Brennus’s cock against his cheek and smiled. “I see.” On occasion Brennus could say the most wonderful things. “Are you going to hug my cock or suck it? Anytime tonight, Mr. Rhys.” Darien laughed, glancing up into those beautiful light eyes. “I’m taking my time. I have plenty of it.” “You do,” he nodded. “However, my cock feels differently, so if you don’t mind…” Darien gave Brennus’s cock a kiss and then licked the head. “You taste scrumptious.” “You’re teasing me and you know what will happen to you.” His eyes were full of mischief 18
Ancient Stone now. “No, Priest, what? You won’t forgive all my transgressions, my Celtic god?” He placed a hand on his head. “I’d forgive you anything, my love.” He did a quick sign of the cross on his head. “Very funny…the cross thing. And did you say anything?” “Um,” he nodded, glancing at his own cock. “I believe I did.” “Even taking my time to—” “Not that,” he growled, making Darien laugh out loud before he finally decided to alleviate both their pain and take his cock into his mouth. With Brennus’s ass in his hands and his cock in his mouth, Darien was right where he wanted to be at that moment. He sucked him enthusiastically, getting exactly the response he wanted. Brennus’s knees began to weaken. He reached out for the wall. He said something in his ancient tongue and then came in Darien’s mouth. Darien swallowed, smiling, pulling back, only to be swept up into his strong arms and thoroughly kissed. “Ummm,” Darien murmured, “now how about you fuck me good, Celt?” He laughed. “You’re pretty cheeky tonight.” Darien feigned surprise. “You think? Punish me.” Brennus shook his head, but he was smiling. 19
DJ Manly “First, I have to get those clothes off you…with my teeth.” “Ooh.” Darien pretended to struggle in his arms. “I’m afraid of the big, tough, vampire fangs.” “You should be,” he growled, barring his fangs. “God, you’re so sexy when you do that. But you forget, my incredible hunk, I can do it, too.” Darien barred his own fangs. Brennus laughed. “Hey!” Brennus laughed again. “I’ve been doing this longer, baby. You look so sweet.” He leaned down and ripped at his shirt with his teeth. It came off in one rip. Brennus flung it across the floor. “Sweet? Sweet?” Brennus mumbled something, attacking his pants. “Hey, I like those pants.” He looked up for a second. “I’ll buy you another pair.” Darien pounded his chest. “Beast,” he teased. The pants were gone. “Ummm,” Brennus murmured, kissing down the length of him as he held him in his arms, both of them now midway off the floor. “So sexy, great chest, ummm…your cock is so…um…” “Brennus, ah…Brennus…” Darien shook him. “We don’t have blinds.” 20
Ancient Stone “What?” He looked up, dazed. “Blinds,” Darien pointed. “Oh to hell with them.” He bent his golden head to his cock. Darien yelped. “Brennus. People can see.” He looked up. “Oh.” He put him down on the floor, licked his lips, and pushed his hair back. “Upstairs,” he said abruptly. He grabbed Darien’s hand and they practically flew up there. Brennus had already equipped the upstairs bedroom with black blinds, which let in no light in the daytime. He walked over and pulled them down. Darien was back in his arms now, his eyes closed as Brennus did amazing things to his cock and then flipped him over in the air and used his tongue on his anus. “Brennnusssss.” Brennus chuckled. “Want my cock?” “Oh yes…yes…don’t ask, do!” Brennus gripped Darien by the hips and pulled his ass up into his groin. Brennus’s cock seized hold of him and impaled him with such a sensation of pleasure that Darien would have passed out if he had been capable of it. Brennus flew him over to the wall, placed Darien’s palms on it, spread him out wide and, with one hand on his cock and the other tormenting his nipples, pounded into him, slowing once or twice, only to begin again. 21
DJ Manly Darien moaned, his head falling back, tongue wetting his lips. “I’m your whore,” he grunted. “Yes.” Brennus lowered his head and bit down into his throat. “Yes baby, my beautiful, sexy, wanton whore. I love you,” he managed as he drank. Darien swooned. Brennus pulled out of him and then plunged in again. They both came hard and long. Darien whirled around in his arms and trailed a finger over Brennus’s chest. He ran it around one nipple, then bent his head to drink. Brennus gasped as his head went back. Darien drank from the same place every time, the place right over his heart. They both lowered to the floor, Darien on top of him as he still continued to drink. Brennus felt himself weaken and Darien pulled back, smiling at him, licking the blood from his lips. “Are you all right?” “Ummm,” he said, “fine. You have a big thirst tonight.” “Always for you.” “Why do you always drink from the same place?” Darien snuggled up closer to him. Brennus put his arms around him. “Do you mind?” “No. I’m just curious.” 22
Ancient Stone “When I was dying, you fed me a piece of your heart. I feel so close to you. I have a part of you inside me, your blood runs through my veins and drinking there…I don’t know, it’s silly.” “No, baby,” he said softly, kissing his hair, “it’s not. You can have any part of me you want. I’m yours always, my blood, my heart, my body.” Darien swallowed. He looked at his face and kissed his lips softly. “Brennus,” he said, lowering his face on his chest. There were no words.

Chapter Three he creature just sat there staring at him. “You said there was a price. What is it? Whatever it is, I’m prepared to pay.” “Are you?” The gnarled fingers made some gesture in the air. “Brave, brave, mortal boy. And you are prepared to give everything to have him?” “Yes.” “And he will kill you if this doesn’t work. Are you prepared for that?” Mel didn’t answer. He shuddered. The night was dark and filled with strange noises, and being close to this thing was unnerving. “You called me. I came. It wasn’t so difficult to steal the stone, but you have to realise that you can upset the balance between good and evil. Commanding the dead can be a treacherous thing.” “Tell me your fucking price now,” he snapped. “I don’t have all night.” “So you have decided to keep it?” “Yes.”
T

Ancient Stone The creature stood. He was at least seven feet tall, his face nothing more than bones with streaks of flesh crisscrossed over it. His eyes were frightening, filled with fire. “You will bring me a sacrifice, one virgin on every night of the full moon.” “One…you mean…how in the hell—” “I have your word or I take the stone and your life.” Mel’s eyes widened. “My life? We never agreed—” “You must carry out what you say.” “What if I decide I can’t find the virgins and—” “You die and the stone goes back to the sacred place where it was hidden long ago. First full moon is three nights away.” “How…I don’t even know how to use this thing. How do I call Brennus? How do I command him? Can I call them both or—” “You can only command one at a time. And the power over the soul you command will last until the next sacrifice. It will work when I have the sacrifice.” “Okay, but I can’t have them both?” “You can have only one, greedy boy. You choose.” There was no contest. He knew which one he wanted. “I’ll be waiting.” 25
DJ Manly Mel dropped to the ground. It was gone, just like that. Its name was Serpantanting, a demon who dwelt in the bowels of the earth, who reportedly knew the secret to commanding the dead. Mel had summoned it with a spell, which took months to perfect. When it had first appeared, it told him that it would be easy to get the stone, but there would be a price. Mel had never asked what that price would be. Now, he had the stone, but he had no idea how to use it. And worse, he had three days to find an unsuspecting virgin to give to this thing. Mel got to his feet. He had to check through his uncle’s things tomorrow when he was at work. Surely it was written somewhere how the stone worked. If he could figure it out, he wouldn’t need this demon or any sacrifice. When he got home, he took the stone out from under the bed. He concentrated on Brennus. He could see shadows of him, but he was unable to make out what he was doing. The first time had been so clear, like a mirror, but now, it was faded. Had that bastard demon tricked him, gave him a useless toy? He almost threw it across the room, then thought better of it. No. There had to be a way. Stevie was there the next evening after school, holding the stone in his hand in Mel’s room. “You found nothing?” 26
Ancient Stone “No. The stone is scared. It was hidden for a long time by some goodie two-shoes who was afraid it would fall into the wrong hands.” “Which it has.” Stevie giggled. “I’m not going to release the undead on the world. I just want Brennus. I was going to bring them both to me, but I can’t.” “How do you use this?” “I don’t know.” He looked at Stevie for a few minutes, geeky little Stevie with his spectacles and love handles. “Hey, eh, Steve?” “Yeah?” “You wouldn’t happen to be a virgin, would you?” He’d always been pretty good at casting truth spells and although he could only make them work for a few minutes at a time, it was enough. The next day after school, Mel biked out to the rundown shack in the woods on the edge of town. He threw his bike down when he arrived and walked up onto the porch. Zendle was there before he knocked, regarding him curiously. “Here’s someone up to no good,” he said. “Pardon me?” He fingered the potion in his pocket. Zendle chuckled. “You look troubled boy. What can I do you for?” “I, ah…I’m, ah—” 27
DJ Manly “I know who you are. What do you want?” “I was wondering if you had a spell to clear up my, ah…skin problem?” “Um. I don’t know. I—” “Many a witch and dermatologist have tried, but I heard you’re the best.” “Well.” He cleared his throat. “Maybe I can help you. You into men or girls?” “Well, eh…I tend to men.” “A boy after my own heart. Let me see what I got in the back room.” Mel took out the potion. He had no time to waste. As Zendle came out, Mel threw the potion in his face, temporally stunning him. “Hear me now, tell no lies, give me truth, before my eyes.” Zendle suddenly stared straight ahead. It worked. “Okay old man, how do I use the stone to command the dead?” “A virgin sacrifice,” he mumbled, “blood of virgin spread over stone…say the name of the one you hope to rise, say thrice.” “Thanks.” He pointed at him and ran outside. Damn, he still needed the sacrifice, but at least that demon couldn’t trick him. He knew how to use the stone now. Tomorrow night was the full moon. He and Stevie would be taking a little ride. ****

Ancient Stone “What is that colour?” Darien asked as he checked the colour samples Anna was showing him. “Mocha supreme. Like it?” He shrugged. “Better than that butternut colour. Here,” he said, handing her another form, “these aren’t done yet.” Anna sighed. “Tired.” “I thought Anita was coming in to help.” “It’s her wedding anniversary.” “Oh. Don’t worry. Go home and I’ll finish up.” “Yeah?” “Yeah. I don’t sleep, remember, at least not at night.” Anna kissed his cheek and yawned. “I’m off.” “You want Brennus to walk you home?” “No. Where is he anyway?” “Not far. He’ll come if I call him.” “I don’t need Brennus to babysit me. I’m fine.” “Lot of creepy things out there.” “Yeah, you should talk,” she said, getting her sweater. “You’re one of them.” “Thanks.” Darien laughed, entering more data into the computer. When the door jingled again, he looked up, ready to ask Anna what she’d forgotten. It was Zendle and he looked like he’d flown in on a broomstick. “Zendle?” “Oh blessed be, where is your hunky vampire?” “Brennus? Why?” 29
DJ Manly “Some kid just put a truth spell on me, Darien, and it’s not good.” “What kid?” Brennus said suddenly, walking in behind Zendle. “There you are. It’s Jack Cagney’s nephew.” Darien looked lost. “His uncle is a Wicca, a witch, not very impressive, but what do you want.” “Get to the point,” Brennus told him. “He came in with some pretence about his face, put a spell on me. I woke up on the floor, only a flash of what had happened. I tried to recall what he asked me. After some spells of my own, I found out. He wanted to know how to command the undead. He had the stone.” “That’s impossible,” Brennus said. “The stone is well protected.” “Well, he’s found some way to get his hands on it,” Zendle muttered. “Any idea what he wants it for?” Darien asked. “No clue. Brennus.” He turned to him. “You got to find out if that stone is still in place. Do you know where it is?” “Yes, but I can’t get to it.” He paused. “I do know who can, however.” Darien came over to his side. He took his arm. “Brennus?” “Don’t worry.” He patted his forearm. “I’ll scout around the underworld and see if I can find 30
Ancient Stone it. It’s called Serpantanting.” “Serpa…who?” Darien asked. “Serpantanting was originally charged with guarding the stone as punishment for its crimes in the underworld. In short, there was a huge battle between the good and the bad guys and the stone was stolen from Serpantanting and hidden to protect innocence. However, if Serpantanting was ever summoned by someone who wanted to use the stone, he possessed the power to take it back, providing that person would supply him with virgin sacrifices at every full moon.” “How do you know all this?” Darien asked, fascinated. “I just do. When I went through the portal and survived Pan, I came away with all this knowledge I never had before.” “Well, we have to stop this guy,” Darien said. “Zendle, did you say it’s a kid?” “Well, a grown man…around nineteen, a kid to me.” Brennus nodded decisively. “I’ll be back. I’ll hunt down Serpantanting.” “I’m coming with you,” Darien said. “No, stay here. I need you to stay alert to any weird stuff going on in the area, a resurgence of vampires or zombies roaming around.” “Lovely,” Darien muttered. “Come back safe.” He nodded. 31
DJ Manly Zendle watched him leave. He sunk his fist in his mouth. “Damn, it must be heaven fucking that.” “Never mind,” Darien growled at him. “You get your thinking cap on and find out what this guy is up to.” “And what are you going to do?” “I’m going to find this Mel. Where does he live?” “His uncle is in the coven directory.” **** “What are we doing way out here?” Stevie asked him. Mel didn’t answer. A part of him regretted having to use Stevie for this, but where in the hell was he going to find another virgin? Once he gave this monster one and could use the stone, he wouldn’t bring him anymore. One sacrifice was worth it for Brennus. When the demon appeared, Stevie froze. Mel turned around to realise that Stevie had urinated all over the front of his pants, then passed out. “Take him,” Mel said, “he’s yours.” “I smell the virgin,” it chuckled. “I need his blood. So do what you do so…” “You’ve figured it out. I’m impressed. And you shall have what you need, but be forewarned, if 32
Ancient Stone you don’t bring me another in due time, your command over the Golden God with diminish. He will turn on you and you will be dead. The blood must be applied to the stone each time.” One arm swooped down and picked up Stevie’s limp body. “Each time? That’s not fair. I mean…how will I know—” “The full moon. As long as it’s done by each full moon, your power over the undead won’t wane, but if you fail me…well…pity your soul.” Mel sighed. He wasn’t counting on that. “Take out the stone now.” Mel took the stone out of his pocket. Suddenly he heard Stevie’s body break. He shuddered. The only consolation was that Stevie never regained consciousness. He looked away, trying not to vomit. The creature began to devour the body limb by limb. When it was silent, he turned back around, the stone was covered in blood and the creature was quietly watching him, waiting. Mel spread Stevie’s blood over the stone with his hand, and with one breath, said, “Brennus, Brennus, Brennus. Now what?” He looked up at the creature. “That is up to you,” he said and was gone. Mel got into his uncle’s car and drove back home, the stone in his pocket. He left the car in the 33
DJ Manly parking lot and ran off down the street to the park. Then he saw Darien. He was standing there across the street, looking at him. This wasn’t good. This wasn’t good at all. He clutched the stone. “Brennus,” he said aloud, “come to me.” Nothing. This had better work. “Brennus, I command you, come to me now.” Darien had started across the street in his direction. “I want to talk to you,” he called out. Mel began to run, but he knew he couldn’t outrun Darien. “I know what you are,” he cried out, looking behind him. Suddenly Darien was there, standing directly in front of him. “Really? What am I?” His eyes looked really strange. **** The moon grinned down on them. This guy, Mel, looked nervously at the sky. “Brennus,” he muttered. “I command you. Please, come to me. I command you, Goddamnit.” “Brennus?” Darien raised an eyebrow, his dark head tilting. “Why did you call to…oh,” he said. “Oh no, you little worm. It’s not Brennus you summoned with that stone. I’ll—” “Brennus!” Mel stumbled back. Suddenly, Brennus appeared, just like that. He 34
Ancient Stone came out of the sky and touched down on the grass. Brennus faced Mel, waiting. Mel gave Darien an arrogant glance and backed away. He smiled. “He’s mine now.” Darien whirled on Brennus. “Brennus, what is wrong with you? Damn it, Brennus, this can’t be happening. It’s me! Snap out of it.” Brennus still stared at Mel, waiting. “Look,” Darien snapped, glaring at the mortal, baring his teeth, “if this is some sort of a spell, I can easily break it by killing you, so if you want to die…” “Brennus,” Mel said with a triumphant smile, “destroy Darien.” Darien was not prepared for the rage or for Brennus’s strength. He was down almost immediately. Brennus seemed determined that he wouldn’t be getting back up ever again. “Brennus, listen to reason!” Darien pleaded. Brennus didn’t even seem to know him. His teeth tore at his flesh savagely and Darien knew if some miracle didn’t happen soon, he was a goner. If Brennus bit him, he’d drain him dry. When some man walking his dog appeared in the park, Mel gave Brennus the command to stop. He did so immediately, like a zombie. “Take me somewhere we can be alone,” he said, glancing down at Darien who lay on the ground, stunned. “You will have to find another hobby, witch. 35
DJ Manly Brennus is mine. And the next time you come near us, I won’t tell him to stop. Goodbye, Darien.” Darien tried to rise, but they were already gone. He spotted the guy with his dog and stayed perfectly still. It wouldn’t do to draw attention. He was weak. He’d lost a lot of blood and, unless he got some soon, wouldn’t have the strength to get up. The sun was coming up soon, not good. He managed to reach his pocket and found his cell phone. He dialled Anna. It rang several times, then the voice of his sleepy sister picked up. “Um?” “Anna, it’s your…brother,” he grunted. “I need you. I’m in the park nearby…come…bring Zendle—” “Darien!” “I’m…I need blood. Get Zendle… hurry.” “Where in hell is Brennus?” Anna demanded when they laid Darien on the sofa in Anna’s living room. Zendle raced to close all the blinds. “Please,” Darien said, “blood. I can’t…” “Where in the hell am I supposed to get that?” Anna seemed alarmed. “At the new house…in the basement. There’s a…ahhh…” he moaned. “You’ll find…” His eyes closed. “And, Anna, keep your distance.” “Go,” Zendle said. “I’ll stay with him. Hurry. He’s not going to last much longer.” 36
Ancient Stone
Chapter Four el marched around him a few times, running his gaze over him. Brennus stayed perfectly still. “You are my plaything,” he said. “Mine to do with what I want. You know that, don’t you?” He nodded. “Take off your clothes.” Brennus removed his blood-soaked shirt and his pants. When he stood there naked, Mel told him to place his hands behind his head. Mel was giddy. He ran his lusty gaze over him and said, “Holy mother of God, you’re so…um…delicious. Much better than all those naked pictures I have in books.” He walked around him and smiled. “You’re going to be my lover.” He stopped suddenly, listening. “Damn it. Someone’s here. If they try to hurt me, kill them.” Brennus nodded, alert, his teeth bared, eyes burning red. It was both frightening and sexually stimulating to witness it. But he never felt safer in

DJ Manly his life. No one could hurt him now, ever. “Hello? Is someone down here?” A voice called out. Brennus sprang forward. “No,” Mel told him, “not yet. Where are we? What is this place anyway?” Brennus had brought him to an empty house and they stood now in the middle of what should have been a bedroom, black blinds covering the windows. Brennus didn’t reply. In fact, he hadn’t said a word. “Can you talk?” Mel studied him. “If you command it,” he said. Mel wrinkled his nose. A door closed downstairs. There was the sound of running feet, then the sound of the door closing again. Mel went over and looked out the window. He saw a young woman run to her car. “Who was that?” Brennus came over to the window and, in an emotionless voice, said, “I don’t know.” “Well, whoever it was, they’re gone.” Mel turned and smiled at him. “Why don’t you have a bed, Brennus?” He just looked at him. “Oh well,” he shrugged, “the floor will have to do. You’re going to make a man out of me, beauty. And you’re going to never want to leave me.” He began to undress. “Is it true sex with a vampire is 38
Ancient Stone incredible?” Again, no answer. Mel sighed. “Okay, now, tell me I’m beautiful,” he said, moving closer and running his hand over Brennus’s chest. “You’re beautiful,” he said. “Okay, now I’m not going to give you damn instructions. I want steamy, incredible, unbelievable sex. Do you understand?” He nodded and took Mel down to the floor. **** Anita and Zendle hovered over Darien. His sister had turned her back while he drank down the blood. “Is he all right? Is he all right?” she kept asking. “He’s fine,” Zendle told her, watching him. “Easy, Darien, easy.” Anita fretted over him like a mother hen, wiping off his mouth as he opened another bag and began to slosh that down. “He’s beginning to heal,” she said over her shoulder. “Poor baby.” “I can’t believe it,” Darien bellowed now, throwing the empty bag onto the coffee table. “He didn’t even know me. He would have killed me if that man hadn’t come along.” Anna scrambled to pick it up before some of the 39
DJ Manly contents leaked out. “He didn’t mean it, Darien. He loves you. He’s not in his right mind.” “How can a snivelling little pimple faced twit like that control Brennus? He’s so powerful.” “Easily, I’m afraid.” Zendle sighed. “If he wields the stone. As long as he continues to bring that snake virgin sacrifices, he will retain control.” “Then we have to find this demon,” Darien said, “before this creep makes Brennus do any more damage.” “Easier said than done,” Anita replied, looking at Zendle. “It lives far under the earth. I don’t even know how one gets to it.” “Brennus thought he could. If Brennus, then why not me?” Darien asked. “Because you’re not Brennus,” Zendle replied. “Then give me the power, Zendle. Send me wherever that creature is. I have to—” “It’s too dangerous,” Anita said. “So is having Brennus controlled by that mortal. What in hell do you think he wants with Brennus?” Zendle gave him a knowing look. “He told me he liked men.” Darien clicked his tongue. “Fuck. Besides that.” “Maybe it’s just that,” Anna said, coming back from the kitchen. “I know this guy.” “You do?” Anita said. “Yes, and, Darien, so do you. He was that 40
Ancient Stone adolescent with the bad skin. Mel.” When Darien didn’t react, she said, “He used to hang around the shop a lot. He had the biggest crush on you. He came around a few days ago, asking questions about you and Brennus.” “I don’t really remember. You think he came around and Brennus was here with me? He saw him?” “I don’t know,” Anna said. “It’s for sure he knows about Brennus because of the portal opening. All the covens know his name now.” “Whatever the reason,” Zendle said, “he has to be stopped before he sends Brennus on some kind of a rampage. And he has no idea what he is dealing with, the power, and the thirst. Control is one thing, but I doubt any command will override Brennus’s hunger when the time comes. If Brennus doesn’t pace himself, he’ll get famished and nothing will stop him.” “Zendle and I will see if we can find some kind of a spell to summon that demon. Maybe you won’t have to go to it, Darien. We’ll bring it to us.” “Great idea,” Zendle said, “and I’ll see if there is something I can use in the literature. I’m wondering what would happen if we vanquished that demon.” “Don’t do anything rash,” Darien said. “We don’t know how it could affect Brennus.” Anita and Zendle rushed off in different 41
DJ Manly directions. Darien sank down on the sofa and put his face in his hands. He couldn’t believe that Brennus had tried to kill him. It was as if he didn’t know him at all. How could any power do that to him? Anna placed a hand on his head. “We’ll find Brennus.” “He tried to destroy me,” Darien said. “Oh, baby, he didn’t know what he was doing.” “He should have recognized me, Anna. We love each other. I thought our love was stronger.” “Your feelings are hurt, that’s all. Darien, that wasn’t Brennus.” Darien nodded. “Where in the hell is he?” The door flew open wide suddenly and Marcel stood there, his long, dark hair flying out behind him as he stomped into the room. “Aren’t you supposed to knock?” Darien asked him dryly. “Where is Brennus?” he demanded. “I don’t know,” Darien said. “What happened to you? You look like a train wreck.” “Thanks.” “Darien, I’ve stayed away while you two played your little games, but this is serious. He’s in danger.” 42
Ancient Stone “I know that. And we weren’t playing any games.” “Who did that to you?” “He did.” Marcel lifted an eyebrow. “Some lovers spat.” “It wasn’t a…” Darien sighed while Anna patted his shoulder. He stood. “I suppose you have a right to know.” “He was mine before he was yours.” “So you constantly remind me.” “How could you let this happen?” “I didn’t let anything happen,” Darien snapped. “Some amateur witch got a hard on and summoned a demon who has the ability to control the undead.” Darien looked at Anna. “Damn it, what if that Mel guy can control me, and Marcel as well, or all the vampires?” Anna looked alarmed. Marcel shook his head. “He can only control one at a time and he must keep supplying virgin blood.” “What do you know about it?” He shrugged. “I’ve been around. I know about the stone.” “Can you get to that demon?” “No. Summon him and kick his ass.” “Will that save Brennus?” “I have no idea. Where could they be?” “It won’t do any good to find them,” Darien 43
DJ Manly said. “Mel will just tell Brennus to attack. Do you want to take on Brennus?” “Not especially,” Marcel muttered. “Well, our best bet is to let Anita, Zendle and Anna work on a summoning spell while you and I go out and make sure no virgins are kidnapped.” “Don’t have to worry about that until the full moon. And I’m sure now that he has Brennus, he’ll make Brennus hunt the virgins. We can smell ‘em.” “I can’t,” Darien exclaimed, “and why would I want to? Wait, don’t answer that. So when is the next full moon?” “It’s once a month,” Anna said. “We got awhile,” Marcel replied. “Damn, the things he could make Brennus do,” Darien said. “I’ll help you,” Marcel said. “I’ll do what I can.” Darien nodded. He had a right. Brennus was his sire, a fact he could never change. And in fact, Marcel had been his sire as well, until going through the portal had made him mortal again. “Yeah, yeah, and Brennus fed you his heart while you were dying, so fucking touching and romantic, although somewhat cliché, don’t you think?” “Oh shut up, Marcel,” Darien told him. “I’ll go and help Anita,” Anna said and left the room. 44
Ancient Stone “Come on,” Darien said to Marcel, “let’s go.” **** “Stop, stop!” Mel hollered out. Brennus froze, rolling over on his back. Damn, he was battered and bruised. “I’m not a blood sucking immortal like you. Jesus, Brennus, I said to do it gently. And what’s wrong with you?” Mel stared down at him. Brennus’s eyes looked funny and at one point he seemed to be salivating. “You need blood, don’t you?” He sat up fast, inching away from him. “Oh shit. I didn’t think of that. Okay.” He snapped his fingers and jumped to his feet, “Go out and feed all you want, but come back here immediately. Do you understand me? Don’t let anyone see you. And if Darien comes near you, kill him.” Brennus was on his feet. He nodded. “Oh, and get dressed first,” Mel said when he saw him head for the door. He was completely naked. “Your body is only for my eyes from now on.” Mel groaned a little, rubbing his sore limbs. Hell, he thought, this was not what he’d expected. Brennus was like some kind of mindless idiot. He didn’t make a move without instruction, but when he’d started making love to him, he almost tore him in half. His strength was overwhelming, his 45
DJ Manly passion more intense than a mountain lion. At one point, he told Brennus to just lie back. He took his pleasure by getting lost in his body, touching him and kissing him at his leisure. He played with his beautiful cock and fucked that gorgeous ass, and Brennus never made a sound. That was okay, Brennus was his fuck toy, silent, wild and submissive. Mel lay on the floor naked now, thinking about how beautiful Brennus was. It was worth the bruises. And if he had to give instructions, he would, but his baby definitely needed restraint. Umm, yeah, tie him up, do anything he wanted. He’d just let his imagination run wild. **** “Brennus?” Darien called out. “Why in the hell would he be here?” Marcel demanded, walking into the empty house on Darien’s heels. In fact, he stepped on his heel. “What is this place?” “Damn it, Marcel,” Darien grunted. “What kind of vampire are you anyway? Can’t you see in the dark?” “Ha, ha. Hey, smell that,” he said. “Smell what?” Darien paused, inhaled. They both looked at each other at the same time and said, “Mortal.” 46

**** Mel raced down the hallway frantically, pulling on his pants as he went. Shit. He had to get out of there. “Brennus,” he hissed under his breath. “Come. Come now. Save me. Attack.” **** Darien and Marcel heard the noise. They raced up the stairs, then stopped. “Shit,” Marcel said, “Brennus is here. Do you feel him?” Darien nodded, tears threatening. He was afraid of what he loved more than anything. “We can’t fight him,” he said to Marcel. “Even the two of us together.” “Can we try reasoning with him?” Marcel asked. Suddenly, they saw Brennus. He stood at the top of the stairs, his fangs bared, eyes red. He was crouched, ready to spring. “You want to try?” Darien gave Marcel a look. Marcel took another quick look at Brennus and shook his head. “I don’t think so. Let’s get the fuck out of here.” ****
47
DJ Manly Mel stood behind Brennus, his hand possessively on his shoulder. He laughed as he watched the other two disappear out the door. “Vampires,” he clicked his tongue, “such cowards. Stay, my love. Did you feed?” Brennus turned to look at him. He nodded. “Good.” He opened Brennus’s shirt and traced around one nipple with his finger. “No one is going to call me pimply faced virgin boy again, are they, pet?” He pressed his lips to his chest. “Tell me I’m beautiful.” “You’re beautiful.” “Tell me you want me to fuck you.” “I want you to fuck me.” “But not yet, sun is coming up, first we sleep.” Mel stripped Brennus naked and tied his hands together above his head, then lay down on the floor. “We really need a bed, darling,” he said. “Now, keep your legs spread, just in case I want to play with you during the night.” He smiled as Brennus spread his legs. “Not yours, Darien,” he said aloud, “mine. He’s all mine and so is this house.” He placed his hand on Brennus’s cock and closed his eyes. **** Everyone was talking at once. Darien couldn’t hear himself think. “Enough!” Everyone stopped 48
Ancient Stone and stared at him. “We have to think about what we’re saying. We can’t just go there and get him, he’ll kill us.” “Well, I think getting Mel is the best idea,” Marcel said. “He has to leave the house sometime. He’s mortal, isn’t he? He needs food.” “Yes, but he’s going to go in the day when we can’t get him.” “Then we hire someone to get him, someone who can go out in the daytime,” Anita suggested. “Yes, but he still controls Brennus,” Darien says. “He’ll just summon Brennus to come and rescue him. And if Brennus wants to get to us, he will.” “Darien has a point,” Zendle said. “Have you learned anything else about this demon?” Darien asked Zendle. “Nothing useful, except for his love of virgin blood.” “And, Anita,” Darien asked, “any luck with the spell?” She shook her head. Darien sat back, his eyes closing. This was his natural time to sleep, but how could he? He was worried. He was missing Brennus and he tried not to imagine the things that creepy kid could be doing to him. “Any chance Brennus will have the strength to come out of this on his own?” He looked desperately at anyone who would answer. 49
DJ Manly There was no answer. “Let’s sleep now,” Marcel said to Darien. “We’ll go pay this creep’s uncle a visit tonight.” “Did you say he was a powerful witch?” Darien asked Zendle. Zendle shook his head. “No. He is more a hobbyist than anything. Got into it after his entire family died.” “Ouch, that’s rough.” Darien said. “It might explain this Mel’s weirdness, but not excuse it.” Zendle nodded. “Okay, don’t worry about the spells, Anita,” Darien told her, “when I wake up, I’ll help you. There has to be something. Marcel, you’re welcome to join me in the basement,” he said. “It’s too late to find another haven now.” Marcel nodded and followed him to the stairs.

Chapter Five el watched Brennus sleeping, or whatever it was vampires did, and smiled. There had been some real creeps at his high school, those assholes who thought they were Joe and Jennifer Cool, and they’d made his life hell. They laughed at him, called him pimple face” He was sure, in spite of all the bragging the guys did, that some of them were still virgins. Of course, he had no way of knowing, but he bet Brennus could tell him. It was giving him ideas. Oh, what fun! Mel got up and put on his clothes. It was time to go to school. He wouldn’t stay long. After all, he had better things to do with his life now. He didn’t need school anymore. He had Brennus and Brennus could bring him everything he needed. He wasn’t about to let a few dead virgins get in the way. He’d invite a select few to a little party tonight and they’d come, too, especially when he told them what he had to show them.

**** It felt too familiar, lying beside Marcel. It hadn’t been that long since they’d fucked, courtesy of Brennus. Brennus had warned Darien about the attraction he would feel for his sire, and since Marcel had originally turned him, he was not prepared for the desire he had for him when they met again. Marcel wanted Brennus and Darien wanted both of them. What had started out as a ménage, ended as a twosome between Marcel and himself. Brennus wanted Darien to get it out of his system. Lust was an odd thing. It had nothing to do with love because right now, Darien wanted Marcel and yet he loved Brennus with everything that was in him. He always would. He knew himself. In times of stress, when things were falling apart, he was always horny. It was his way of coping. “I shouldn’t,” Darien whispered when he felt Marcel reach around him and undo the zipper on his pants. “I feel your need,” he said. “And your sadness.” Marcel knew him well. Darien turned around on the floor to face him. “You’re not supposed want me anymore. Brennus is my sire now.” 52
Ancient Stone “Yes, but he is also mine. We are still connected, Darien.” Darien nodded, looking into his eyes. Marcel was gorgeous and so different from Brennus. Brennus was golden, his hair, and sometimes even his eyes, and his skin unusually golden for a vampire. And he was so old world, almost regal, elegant, whereas Marcel was dark, and wild, more like Darien in his mentality. Marcel stroked his face, his other hand reaching into his pants. “If you don’t want me to, say so now.” The gaze from those dark eyes burned into his. Darien went up to his knees and hastily tore off his shirt, his pants, watching intently as Marcel did the same. Marcel was all muscles and sinew, waving cords of luscious bulges and valleys. Darien leaned over and licked up the washboard stomach and began to kiss his chest. Marcel threw his head back and made a hissing sound through his teeth. Darien knew his fangs were exposed now. His cock was hard and he was extremely sexually aroused, his nipples responding immediately to Darien’s tongue. “I want your ass,” Darien moaned, capturing one of those hard nipples between his teeth. “Um,” he grunted. “What a coincidence,” Marcel replied, “because I want yours.” He 53
DJ Manly grabbed him around the waist and pulled him hard into his chest, kissing his mouth in a way only another vampire could. Darien moaned when Marcel bit into his tongue and began sucking it slowly. One hand milked Darien’s cock, the other found its way to his ass. Darien pushed him away playfully. “Hey, I want your ass,” he teased. “May the best one win.” Marcel winked and they lunged for each other, rolling around on the basement floor, flying up in the air. First, Darien had Marcel in a headlock, his cock up against his ass, ready, but just as he was ready to fuck him good, Marcel struggled away and pressed Darien up against the wall, hoisting his legs wide and high. Darien pushed away from the wall and flipped upside down, landing on the floor on his feet. Both were excited, their eyes shining bright, their cocks hard and erect. Darien smiled at Marcel and reached out for his long hair. He dragged him close and smothered his mouth with his, fondling his cock at the same time. Marcel moaned, losing himself for a minute, giving Darien the edge. Pressing Marcel down on the floor, he rolled him over and attempted to stab his ass with his cock. Marcel laughed and managed to get away. “Oh 54
Ancient Stone no,” he said, standing across from him now, hands on his hips, “your ass is mine, witch. I’m going to fuck you so hard and so long, you’re going to cry for mercy.” Darien licked his lips. Right about now, he was thinking, baby, bring it on. “You must have no problem seducing your victims,” Darien said softly. “Why, Brennus’s Witch, I believe that’s a compliment.” “Sexy bastard,” he said, laughing. “If you want me to be your whore, you’ll have to catch me first.” “Why do I get the impression the fight has already been won?” “Cocky fiend.” Marcel laughed and jumped him. Darien was through with struggling. “Fuck me,” he invited. “Come on, beautiful, let me feel it.” “You’ve taken all the fun out of it.” Marcel licked his ear, taking him up against the wall. “Spread your legs.” Darien placed his head on the wall. He spread his legs. “Well,” Marcel said, his fingers inching in between Darien’s cheeks, “maybe not all the fun. Brennus must be inside you every chance he gets. You have some ass.” “Yeah, and I don’t let him forget it either.” 55
DJ Manly “I bet.” Marcel replied. Darien grunted as Marcel yanked his ass forward. A finger, two, more…and then mercy…Marcel had plunged his entire hand up there. There was no pain, just an intense rush of pleasure. Every nerve that could be touched was touched and Darien let out a howl as Marcel moved in deeper, then out, suddenly plunging his cock in there in its place. Marcel fucked him every which way from Sunday and Darien came and then came again, his head hanging down as everything was concentrated on Marcel’s cock in his ass. When Marcel finally released him, he turned him around and pushed Darien on his knees. “I’m still hard,” he growled. “I’m through fucking your ass. I want that luscious mouth of yours.” Darien smiled. “Fuck my face with your beautiful cock.” Marcel grabbed his hair and shoved his cock into Darien’s mouth. Darien got hard again. This was exciting as hell, different. And right now any distraction was good. Marcel came in his mouth and released his face. He grinned at him. “Tired now?” Darien shook his head. “Oh no. Now, I want your ass.” He looked around. “Lay across that old table over there.” Marcel walked over to the table and laid down, 56
Ancient Stone his ass there and ready. “Don’t hurt me,” he joked. Darien laughed. “Yeah, right. Okay,” he said, spying an old galvanized baseball bat in the corner of the room. “Are you going to beat me?” he joked, glancing at the bat. “No, I’m going to impale you on this, open you up a little.” “Ummm, sounds fun,” he said. “But before you do that,” he reached out and dragged Darien near, “I think I need some nutrition.” Darien allowed himself to be pulled down on the table. Marcel ran his hands over his sex hungrily, then licked up his belly, nibbled his nipples and then licked up his throat. Before he bit down into the jugular, he showed him his fangs, sharp, deadly, so sexy. He smiled, then bit down into Darien’s throat. Darien moaned as Marcel drank and stroked his cock at the same time. His cock pumped out his release, causing his entire body to tremble. Finally Marcel stopped drinking. He winked. “Naughty boy, time for your punishment.” Marcel spread his legs as Darien got up. “Bring it on,” he said. Darien ran his hand along the bat. “It needs something, a little bit of…” Marcel moved his hands down to his own cock and then over the bat. “This should do it, come, a natural lubricant.” 57
DJ Manly Darien grinned and moved around between Marcel’s open legs. Marcel stroked his own cock while Darien teased his opening with the head of the bat. “Oh yeah,” Marcel encouraged. “Do it. Ummm.” Darien licked his lips and the head of the bat disappeared. Later, as they lay together on the floor, Marcel started to laugh. “What?” Darien asked. “Do you realise that the sun has been up for hours?” “You have a great ass,” Darien said. “You, too,” Marcel said, his eyes closing. “So why are we both so in love with Brennus?” Brennus. Where are you, baby? “Don’t worry,” Marcel said sleepily, reading his thoughts, “we’ll find him.” **** They’d laughed at him, of course, but that was all right. They were all going to come. The mention of free beer piqued their interest right away, the leaches, and then of course when he told them that he had a real vampire and that he was his slave, well, they started telling him that he was crazy. “Come and see,” he said, “if you don’t believe 58
Ancient Stone me. I’ll prove it to you.” “There are no such things as vampires,” Robbie Dennison told him just before Mel left the school grounds. “Sorry to have to tell you, guy.” “Come and see.” He smiled. “I’ll prove it to you…unless you’re too chicken shit?” “I’ll be there, man. I’m not afraid of no freak dressed up like a vampire. We’ll all be there man, and,” he poked Mel in the chest, “you better have beer and lots of it. I’m not coming for nothing.” Mel walked away. He hoped to hell Robbie was a virgin. He’d enjoy watching that demon eat him. **** Darien issued Marcel a look of caution as they walked up the path to Jack Cagney’s house. “Let me do the talking. And try not to look so much like a vampire.” “I am a vampire.” “I know that, but try to look…human.” “How do I do that?” “Blink once in awhile, fiddle with your hair.” “I can fiddle with my cock if you like.” He grinned. Darien shook his head. “Do you think this is really a good idea?” “Yes.” “To disclose too much—” 59
DJ Manly “Marcel, all the witches knew about the portal thing. They know about Brennus. They don’t have to know about us.” “And the stone?” “Yes, it’s written.” “And since we know where this Mel guy is, what can his uncle do for us?” “I don’t know. Maybe I can see his room, understand him better.” “In other words, we’re not sure what we’re doing here?” Darien sighed and rung the door bell. The door opened and a tall man stood there, greying at the temples. He wasn’t smiling. “I’m not interested,” he said, about to close the door. “We’re not selling anything,” Darien said, placing a hand on the door. “We’re here about Mel.” His eyes widened. “You’re…Darien Rhys.” “Yes, and this is my, ah—” “Brother,” Marcel said. “Marcel.” “How do you do? Please, come in.” Darien and Marcel stepped across the threshold. The house was typically middle class, warm and cosy. They were led into the living room. Darien looked at Marcel and he blinked a few times at him. Okay, that’s overkill. Give me a break. “So please sit down,” Jack Cagney offered. 60
Ancient Stone They sat. “Can I get you anything?” “No,” Darien said. “You’ve heard that my nephew has disappeared.” “Well, we figured he had.” “And one of his friends also.” “His friend?” Marcel echoed. Nice guy. He gave his friend to the demon as a sacrifice? We don’t know that. “Did they disappear at the same time?” “Yes.” “Has Mel been to school?” “He wasn’t there yesterday. You used to run the Grinning Moon.” “Yes,” Darien said. “But your sister runs it now. You just disappeared.” Darien shifted a bit on the sofa. “I moved. I’m back now for a while.” He nodded. “Mr. Cagney, we think your nephew—” “Jack,” he said. “Jack,” Darien corrected, “we think he summoned a demon and has in his possession an ancient stone which can summon the undead.” Jack’s eyes widened, then he laughed. “Oh no, not Mel. He’s not even a full-fledged witch. He doesn’t have that kind of power, and why would 61
DJ Manly he want to control the undead…and you mean, the dead, don’t you?” “Well, yes and no.” “We mean vampires,” Marcel said pleasantly, then blinked a few times. That was subtle. It was either that or I eat this guy. I’m starved and you really need to cut to the chase. Jack looked from one to the other. “I know the prophesy speaks about a vampire, a Golden God, but its more metaphor than anything.” “Oh, Brennus is no metaphor,” Marcel said. “Do you think an ordinary mortal closed the portal?” Darien asked him. “Then Brennus really exists?” “So far.” Marcel stood up impatiently. “But Jack, listen, your kin has our sire. We want him back. He’s playing with fire and killing virgins to boot.” Jack looked confused. Darien shot Marcel a look. Go hunt. I’ll meet you later. Marcel shrugged and walked out without another word. Darien gave Jack an apologetic smile. “He’s a little, ah…he’s not used to new people. Jack, this is serious. You need to tell me everything you can about Mel. And could I see his room?” “His room?” 62
Ancient Stone “There might be some clues there.” “Do you know where he is? Is he safe?” “I know where he is…or at least I did, yesterday. Safe? Um. I don’t know. He’s holding dynamite in his hands and it could all blow up in his face, in all of our faces.” “Why can’t you just go and get him?” “Because he is controlling Brennus, and Brennus would kill us on his command.” “Why would he take such a powerful being?” “I don’t know.” “And killing virgins, I can’t believe—” “Mel is not killing them directly but he is giving them to the demon in exchange for the stone.” “I still don’t understand.” “Neither do I, but maybe if I saw his room…” His uncle stood up. He swayed a little. He was deeply disturbed by all this. “Sit. Just tell me where it is and I’ll go myself,” Darien said. “First door on the right.” He pointed. “At the top of the stairs.” Darien nodded and took the stairs two at a time.

DJ Manly
Chapter Six el drilled the holes into the wall in the basement and attached the hooks. He did the same to the floor, hoping that they were well aligned. Oh well, it wouldn’t matter. “Brennus,” he commanded, “come my pet. It’s time. Oh good,” he said when he saw him, “your eyes are all funny again. You did feed last night when you went out?” He nodded. “Okay, off with those clothes. In fact, a body like that should never wear them. And look what daddy’s got for you.” He held up a tube of oil. “I plan to get you all shiny and gorgeous. The kids will love it.” He watched as Brennus stripped off his clothes. “Okay. I need your help. I want you to attach these rings to the hooks, two on the wall and two on the floor. I’m tired now. And test them. I want to make sure they’re solid. Do you understand?” Brennus nodded.

Ancient Stone “Say, yes, master.” “Yes, master,” he replied. “Good. Go to it.” He stood aside and watched. Ummm. It was delicious, watching Brennus work in the nude. He was getting horny again. He checked his watch. They had an hour. When the job was done, Mel took Brennus by the forearm and lifted his hands up. He shackled one wrist, then the other before leaning down and doing the ankles. “Now you see how I have you. I can move around you, fuck that ass when I please and right now,” he hummed, “I feel like it.” He took off his clothes, touched Brennus’s golden hair. He saw his fangs when Brennus’s mouth opened and Mel laughed. “I bet that hurts when you bite.” He popped open the top on the oil. “I’m going to enjoy this. I’ll do it once just to turn me on and then slather it on again before the morons get here. Now, listen,” he said, moving in behind him and rubbing some oil into Brennus’s fine ass, “I need virgin blood. Can you smell virgins?” “Yes,” he said. “Fine. You can tell me and then we’ll keep a virgin here so that we can give it to the demon next full moon.” Mel began to massage the oil into both ass cheeks, his cock aching. “Oh to hell with it,” he said, tossing the oil. He grabbed Brennus’s ass and buried his cock in it. Two thrusts and he’d come. Damn, he wished he could hold on longer. 65
DJ Manly He moved his oily hands up over Brennus’s stomach and chest. “You’re so beautiful,” he whispered. “I’m in love. I’d really like to see you fuck someone. Maybe I’ll let you later. Would you like that?” “If it pleases you,” he said. “Um, it will.” He pinched his nipples brutally, rubbing in some oil. “It will.” **** “So?” Marcel asked, coming up beside Darien as he came around the corner. “Anything?” “This,” Darien said, pulling a small notebook out of his jacket. “What’s that?” “A dairy, Mel’s dairy, and with a cursory look, I believe that Mel is very good at keeping track of his activities.” “Excellent,” Marcel said. “Oh and ah…I think I should tell you, our boy, Mel has been letting Brennus out to feed.” “Oh?” “Yeah. I just disposed of two of his victims, not pretty, and left out in the open.” “Shit.” “Yes. Brennus has been reduced to his baser instincts, not good news. We need to find him before questions start being asked.” 66
Ancient Stone When Darien arrived back home with Marcel, they immediately went into kitchen to see if the three others had made any progress with the spells. Anita glanced at Darien and then returned her attention to the pot she was stirring on the stove. Anna came over and hugged her brother. “We’re almost there.” “Where’s Zendle?” “He went to get something we’re missing.” “This should work,” Anita said. “What did you get?” Anna asked Darien. “Mel’s diary. It should give us a better idea of what we’re dealing with.” “And Brennus? Do we know if he’s all right?” Anita asked. “He’s left two victims out in the open,” Marcel supplied. “Oh no,” Anita said, pausing in her stirring. Darien nodded. “He never kills them. He wouldn’t. He’s not himself. He’ll be angry when he finds out he’s been draining his victims dry.” “Not only that, he’s not hiding them,” Marcel said, looking at Darien. He glanced at the diary. “Let’s take a look at that.” Darien handed it to him. “If we do summon this demon, Marcel and I will deal with it. Understood?” He looked at the others. “You have to offer it something it wants more than virgin blood,” Zendle said suddenly, 67
DJ Manly scurrying in the door. “Hi, gorgeous,” he winked at Marcel. Marcel gave him a haughty look. “Yeah, but what?” Darien asked. “That’s what I was trying to find out.” Zendle held up a bottle. “Anita, here’s your serpent tongue.” “Oh yuck,” Anna said. “What did you do, old man,” Marcel scoffed, “rip it out yourself?” Zendle fingered his beard. “No, lovely, but I’d take you on if you’d give me your body.” “Ha,” Marcel said, “dream on. And besides, you couldn’t handle my body.” “Maybe not, but I sure as hell would like to give it a try. Brennus would never give me any.” “No,” Darien said, “and forget Brennus. And I mean it.” He pointed his finger at him. “He’s mine. Get your own vamp.” Marcel sniggered at the little joke and walked off into the living room, book in hand. “Let me know when it’s done,” Darien said and went to follow Marcel. **** Mel could hardly finish applying the oil. It was making him all horny again. He stood back, admired his job and clapped his hands as he heard 68
Ancient Stone the sound of cars outside. “They’re here and you’re lovely, Brennus, beautiful. And your eyes, they’re glowing. That’s it, my love, show those teeth.” He turned and raced up the stairs. There were three of them, just the three he wanted. Jennifer, with the dye job and big tits, Robbie of course, Mr. Athlete of the fucking universe, and Seth, Robbie’s side kick. “Not much of a party,” Jennifer sniffed as she walked in. “What is this place? It’s empty.” “Yeah, where are the others?” Robbie asked. “Where’s the beer?” Seth snorted. “If you want beer, it’s in the basement,” Mel said. “That’s where the real party begins.” “Is that where you keep the vampire?” Jennifer said snidely. “Yeah, Melvin, it’s tied down in the basement…ooohhhh,” Seth bellowed in his face. “Actually, yeah, you’re right.” Mel grinned. “And it’s not an it, it’s a he. Come see.” “Show us this freak show,” Robbie said, pushing Mel out of the way. “Where’s the cellar?” “Go ahead, I’ll follow,” Mel said, smiling. “Straight ahead, door is open.” As soon as the three of them started down, Jennifer tottering on her high heels, Mel came after them, shutting and locking the basement door behind them. He shoved the key in his pocket. 69
DJ Manly “Holy shit,” Robbie said when he got to the bottom of the stairs. “That’s so fake,” Seth scoffed. Jennifer hovered in the corner. “He’s a…hot,” she said, but her voice quivered. Mel rushed over and opened up the cases of twenty four on the basement floor. “Nice and cold, go for it.” Seth picked out two bottles and began to swill them down. Robbie stayed quiet. “How did you do that, man? Make his eyes glow red like that? And the teeth? Wow.” “You’re in awe,” Mel said softly. He nodded. “How much you paying this guy?” Mel just laughed. Seth finished off the second bottle and let out a large burp. “Its fake, man, can’t you see?” “Go on,” Mel said, “touch him, unless you’re afraid.” “I dare you.” Jennifer giggled. “Man, he’s buff, what a body. Is he a model?” Mel looked at her. “No. He’s a priest.” They all laughed. “Yeah, looks like a priest.” Seth burped again. “Come on your guys, have some beers.” He handed one to Robbie. “You going to touch him or what?” Mel asked. “Hey, Jennifer, want to kiss him?” She laughed. 70
Ancient Stone “Yeah, Jenny, flash him those gorgeous tits of yours,” Seth said. “See if he gets a woody.” “We’d all like to see those,” Robbie said. Mel stood back, arms crossed. He watched the three of them now helping themselves to beer. “Hey,” he said, “I got some great weed. Over there in that bowl on the table. All rolled. Go for it.” Before long, they were all pretty high and they all kept daring themselves to approach Brennus. It was time to get this party started. He glanced at Brennus. “Who are the virgins in this room, Brennus?” His head came up. He sniffed the air. The other three were laughing, but they stopped, listening. “Him,” Brennus said, looking at Robbie. Mel clapped his hands. He pointed at Robbie. “You’re a liar. You said that you fucked all those cheerleaders. You’re just a silly little virgin boy.” “He’s a liar, he doesn’t know. It’s a lie,” Robbie grunted. “Who in hell is he anyway, and why is he naked and chained to the wall?” Mel ignored the question. “So, Seth,” he glanced at him, “you fucked big tits here, right?” “Sure did.” He sucked on his smoke. “I played with those nice nipples of hers. Great cunt.” “So, Jennifer,” Mel coaxed, “show us.” “Oh come on, guys,” she said. 71
DJ Manly Mel could tell she was dying to show off. “Come on, Jenny, take it off,” Mel said, coming over to where she leaned in the corner, sucking on her beer bottle. He grabbed the top of her shirt and pretended to peek down it. She giggled, slapped his hand. “You like to have your tits played with?” “Yeah,” she breathed. “Slut,” he said. “Take it off.” He stood back. She put down her bottle. “Okay, but only for a minute.” “Oh man,” Seth said, clapping his hands. Robbie’s eyes widened as Jennifer lifted up her top and stood there in her half-cup bra. “Man, you must be a triple C.” “D,” she said proudly, undoing the clap in front and shaking out her big, round tits. She pinched her nipples and shook them in front of them. She cooed to Brennus. “Like them big boy?” Brennus didn’t react. Mel smiled as Robbie and Seth reached out and began to play with her breasts, Robbie on the left and Seth on the right. She was moaning, sticking her chest out. “Pinch the nipples, twist, you sissy boys,” she pouted. Then her eyes moved past the two in front of her. “I want him,” she told Mel, eyeing Brennus. Mel lifted an eyebrow. “Oh?” “Unchain him and give him to me. For once.” 72
Ancient Stone She gave Seth a crude smile. “I’d like a real man. I bet he can fuck. How old is he, twenty-five?” “Oh, older than you think. And he can fuck.” Mel nodded. “But first, before I allow that, I want to watch Seth take you up the ass.” “Ah, pooh,” she said, staggering a little on her high heels. “Hey, what about me?” Robbie protested. “I want to fuck her, too.” “Oh no,” Mel said, “I’m saving you for something special.” “Oh yeah?” he beamed. “Something far better than slutty Jennifer. Let’s just watch Seth have a go, shall we and then I’ll take care of you.” Jennifer was taking off her short skirt. “Are you sure I can have the hunk after?” “Oh, I’ll give you to him all right. Spread her out on that old table there.” Mel pointed. “Here’s some oil, rub it into those tits.” Mel picked up his cell phone. “I’ll take some shots.” Seth was more than ready. He climbed on the table. “Tie her hands,” he said, “gag her.” “Kinky,” Mel said. “Robbie, do the honours.” He threw him a rope. “And you can plug her mouth with her underwear.” He threw that at him, too. Jennifer was lapping it up, her nipples as hard as pebbles as Robbie tied her hands and stuffed 73
DJ Manly the underwear in her mouth. He was practically salivating. Robbie grabbed the oil from Seth and went to town on her tits, tugging and pinching those nipples while Seth lifted her legs. He kept saying, “Oh man.” “In the ass,” Mel said, clicking his cell phone, “no fun in the cunt. Make her feel it. And, Robbie, good job on those nipples.” Robbie was biting them now, his cock out of his pants, as Seth rammed into Jennifer’s ass. She moaned and squirmed on the table as Seth pounded into her, and Robbie continued to brutalize those huge, dark nipples. Mel looked over at Brennus. He looked like he was smelling the mortals, and they were smelling like dinner. **** “Holy shit,” Marcel said, reading Mel’s diary as Darien looked on over his shoulder. “This reads like porn.” Darien sighed. “He’s clearly disturbed.” “He’s a guy who wanted to fit into the crowd, but never did. He clearly thinks that Brennus is the answer to his dreams. You almost have to feel sorry for him.” “Almost,” Darien said between clenched teeth. 74
Ancient Stone “A little tough, given that it’s my man he has there in his idiot dreams.” Zendle came out now and glanced at both of them. “Anything helpful?” “Not unless you want to do a porno,” Marcel replied. “Oh, can I read it?” “No,” Darien said, snatching it out of Marcel’s hand. “Do you have the spell?” He nodded. Darien and Marcel went into the kitchen. Anita nodded. “This will bring it. But what are you two planning to do with it once it gets here?” There was silence. “You need a plan,” Anna said. Marcel looked at Darien. “We need to offer it something better than Mel.” “What, ten virgins?” Darien mocked. “Maybe,” Marcel said. “We can’t do that. It’s immoral. My conscience wouldn’t allow it.” “Oh, your conscience,” Marcel scowled. “You want your sweetheart back, don’t you, so you guys can live in your doll house?” “Ha, ha, and yes, I want him back.” “Well, I didn’t say we had to deliver on our promise. Let’s find out what he wants first and let’s find out if he has any control over that stone?” 75
DJ Manly Darien nodded. He looked at the others. “You guys, out. Anita, tell us how it works.” “One of us has to be here. It takes a witch.” Darien looked at her with raised eyebrows. “Oh,” she laughed, “that’s right. You are a witch.” “The wicked witch of the North,” Marcel sniggered. Darien gave him a faint smile. “Watch it or I’ll turn you into a pumpkin at midnight.” Marcel smiled. Anna laughed out loud. Anita handed Darien a piece of paper. “Here is the chant and those are the instructions. “This is the potion. Be careful with it.” “Okay, get,” he told them. “Be careful,” Anna said, kissing his cheek. “You, too, and you guys, don’t go out alone. And don’t walk in dark places, take the car, and stay inside. Brennus could be hunting. He won’t recognise you and he’d never forgive himself if he…” “We know,” Anita said. “We’ll take care.” When the house was quiet, Darien looked at Marcel. “Bring those black candles and follow me to the attic.” Marcel picked up the package of candles and raced after Darien.

Ancient Stone
Chapter Seven he three of them had been so involved in their little orgy of lust, they didn’t even notice when Mel walked over and unchained Brennus. “Time for your dinner, lover,” he said. “You can have the girl and the one on top of her, but not the virgin. He’s for something special. As Brennus silently moved toward the table, Mel took Robbie and pulled him back. Robbie was taken by surprise. He was so intoxicated, he was stumbling all over. Mel easily shackled one of his wrists to the wall. “Watch.” He smiled. “Then later, let me know if you think he’s real.” He then raced over to the table and dragged Seth off Jennifer. “Sorry, Seth, but we did promise Jennifer a real man.” Seth’s eyes widened as he saw the look on the face of the naked man coming closer. “He’s not…he’s not human!” Mel grinned at him. “No, he’s not. I told you, he’s a vampire, and vampires….need to eat.”

DJ Manly Jennifer let out a scream suddenly. Seth stumbled back against the wall and then tried to scramble up the stairs. Mel heard him tugging on the door in desperation as Brennus tore at the girl’s throat. Poor Robbie had passed out. He was missing it all. “Don’t fret, Seth,” Mel called up the stairs, “he’ll get to you next.” **** “Now, what could two formidable vampire gentleman, such as yourself want with a measly old demon like myself?” “Isn’t much to look at, is it?” Marcel made a face. Darien studied the demon that stood enclosed in a circle of fire. The fire flared from the black candles, illuminating the entire attic. “You are the keeper of the stone.” “I am Serpantanting, but the stone is not in my possession.” “We know,” Marcel said. “It was taken out of your possession a long, long time ago. It was supposed to stay hidden.” “I have no control over mortals.” “Only over the dead…or the undead,” Darien said. “Can you take the power away?” “No. And why would I want to? I am bound to 78
Ancient Stone the agreement forged long ago.” “What if the mortal doesn’t bring you the sacrifice?” Marcel demanded. “Then do you take the power?” He nodded. “All you need to do is stop him.” “Easier said than done,” Darien replied. “He has Brennus.” “Oh yes,” he said, smiling, his long, forked tongue swirling around his face. “So he has, more powerful than the lot of you blood drinkers. Looks like I’ll be getting fed for a long, long time. Ummm.” “What can we offer you?” Marcel asked. “Nothing, I’m afraid. I am bound. There is nothing I can do for you.” “Is there any chance that Brennus will awake from this trance Mel has him under?” Darien demanded. “Even if there was, why should I tell you? It’s not to my advantage.” “Is there anything to prevent you from receiving two offerings on the full moon?” Marcel asked. “No,” Darien shook his head. Marcel looked at him. Stay quiet. “Two?” “Yes,” Marcel said, “two.” “No. You wish to bring me a gift?” “Um, on one condition, that you give us a clue 79
DJ Manly as to how Brennus might recover from this spell?” “But if you figure it out, I will go hungry.” “Not if I promise to bring you the sacrifice myself.” “For how long?” “For as long as you like.” Marcel shrugged. Darien’s eyes widened, but he stayed quiet. “One clue?” “Yes,” Marcel said, “and it better be a good one.” “Very well. Brennus has the power within himself, but he must get a taste of the right blood.” “Right blood?” Darien narrowed his eyes. “That’s all,” he said, smiling. “Good luck. Now, my time here is done.” A huge burst of flames forced Darien and Marcel to fly backward, and the demon disappeared. When Darien got up off the floor, he shook his head at Marcel. “Brennus won’t approve.” “Well, he’s not here to object now, is he?’ “You can’t be serious about bringing that cretin innocent blood.” “I sure am,” Marcel said, brushing himself off. “I didn’t say human virgin blood, did I?” Darien’s eyes widened, then he started to laugh. “Why, Marcel, you are quite the demon yourself.” Marcel grinned. “Yeah, well, maybe, but we got 80
Ancient Stone a bigger problem. We need to figure out that clue before Brennus eats his way through half the town.” **** Mel watched as Brennus threw Seth’s corpse on top of Jennifer’s. By this time, Robbie had come to again and he was blubbering over in the corner. “Oh shut your trap, Robbie. Don’t worry, little virgin boy,” he said, walking over and patting his cheek. “You won’t die like that. Your death will be much more, ah…let’s say, creative.” He laughed and took Brennus’s arm. “Come on, baby, let’s go upstairs. I’m seriously horny now.” **** Darien slept in Marcel’s arms, but he dreamed of Brennus. He woke up with his face covered in blood. Marcel asked him if he was hurt. “No,” he said. He wiped his face, perplexed. “Are those tears?” “I don’t know,” Darien said, embarrassed. “Leave it alone.” “You miss him.” Darien nodded. “I ache for him and I can’t stand the thought of that little bastard putting his hands on him.” 81
DJ Manly “Brennus isn’t himself.” “I know. It’s just that…damn, that diary, the things he wrote about Brennus…what he’d do to him.” “Imaginative, hot,” Marcel said. Darien hit him. “Sorry.” He laughed. “Look, what would you do if you were just some dumb kid and you had Brennus in your power?” “I know, that’s what worries me.” “Did you think some more about the blood?” Darien nodded. “I know the answer. It’s my blood.” “Your blood, why your blood? He created me, too.” “He fed me his heart.” Darien put his face in his hands. He tried to control the tears, but they flooded down his face. Marcel actually touched his shoulder. “I have a part of him, more than his blood, that part of him where he carried his emotions, his love for me. I have to let him bite me.” “No, Darien,” Marcel said, “it’s too dangerous. We can’t be sure it would work, and if it doesn’t, if he didn’t snap out of it, he’d finish you. And he already attacked you.” “Yes, but he didn’t drink from me.” “Yes because you know we don’t usually feed off each other except in moments of passion or 82
Ancient Stone when we go for the kill. And he got interrupted before he had the chance.” “Exactly.” “What do you mean, exactly? When he drinks, Darien, it will be to the death.” “Well, hopefully, he’ll snap out of it by then and—” “And when is your suicide supposed to take place?” “Cute. We’ll interrupt them when they go to bring the sacrifice next full moon. Mel will give Brennus the command to kill and—” “What do you want me to do while Brennus is killing you?” “I want you to kill Mel.” “So you’ll be dead and—” “Brennus will be free.” Marcel looked at him. “You love him that much, to give up your very existence?” “There is no existence without him.” Darien closed his eyes. “And Brennus is important to the world. What if something happens again, somebody else opens the portal? Only Brennus can save the world. He is predestined. That is more important than me, or you, or that stupid mortal.” “And if you’re dead at his hands, how do you think Brennus will go on?” Darien sighed. “I know you’ll be there to 83
DJ Manly comfort him. And as much as the thought of that hurts me, I’m glad it’s you. I don’t want him to be alone.” “One problem with that little theory.” Marcel smacked his lips. “It’s not my comfort he wants. You’re Brennus’s Witch, remember?” “Well, if you have a better solution, let’s hear it.” Darien looked at him. Marcel sighed. “Aside from trying to find virginal rats, I’m fresh out.” Darien made a face. “Don’t ask. You and Brennus have turned me into a real pussy.” Darien threw back his head and howled with laughter. **** Mel lay there beside Brennus on the floor, looking into his face. There was no expression. “Talk to me,” he demanded. “Say anything that comes to your head. Is there anything in your head?” “What would you like me to say?” “A Goddamned robot…why can’t you talk to me like you to do to Darien?” “Darien,” he said. “You remember the witch, don’t you?” He waited. “Brennus, tell me about Darien? Do you want him?” 84
Ancient Stone “I don’t know.” “Do you know him?” “No.” “Goddamned stone,” he growled. He sat up. “I want to know your secrets. I want to know your past. It’s like you don’t have one.” He got up, paced. “I need a spell, that love spell I have the stuff for, and another one to make you stop acting like a robot. I want you to love me,” he demanded. “Say it, and mean it.” “I love you. I say it and I mean it.” “No expression. I know you don’t look at Darien like that. I saw you fucking him. You did it with feeling. It’s like your heart is…dead. What am I saying, you are dead. All you want to do is drink blood.” “Blood,” he said. “Yeah, yeah. The sun is down, go and suck someone dry, will yeah? Damn it, those silly school kids weren’t enough for you? Your hunger is insatiable. Wish it was that insatiable for my cock.” He got up. “Dress,” he commanded. “And come right back. I have to go down and feed the asshole downstairs. I can’t have him dying on me before the full moon. And then,” he told Brennus, wrapping his arms around him, “I’m going to send your pretty little witch a message, let him 85
DJ Manly know how much I’m enjoying this body. Go,” he said, pushing him away. “You’re as stiff as a board, and not in a good way. And stop being such a…vampire,” he bellowed after him, “or man, either way.” Robbie yelled again. “Coming!” Mel replied. He’d bring down some sandwiches. When he got to the bottom of the stairs, he shook his head at Robbie. “You’ve soiled yourself. My goodness. Hungry?” “Let me out of here, Melvin. You are in so much trouble. And where are Jennifer and Seth?” “Dead.” Robbie started blubbering again. “Oh, here, eat your sandwich.” He shoved one into his free hand. Robbie tried to grab him, dropping his sandwich. Mel danced out of the way. He kicked over a bucket and some rags. “After you finish eating, clean yourself up. You reek.” **** Darien and Marcel were on the watch for Brennus. If he was out hunting alone, although they knew they couldn’t stop him, they might be able to prevent him from completely draining his victim, or at least cleaning up the mess if they were too 86
Ancient Stone late. The wind blew hard tonight and Darien sat crouched on top of a roof overlooking the part of the town where Brennus’s last victim had been found. Vampires were territorial and chances were he’d hunt in the same location. Moreover, it was just blocks away from the house, their dream house, the one they might never get to live in together. His fists tightened. “You okay?” Marcel asked, glancing over at him. “I’m thinking about that little prick living in my house with my man, and if I could get close enough to him, I’d rip his heart out.” Marcel chuckled. “Clearly the words of a jealous vampire.” “Um. If I was sure that I wouldn’t have to take on Brennus, nothing could save him.” “Well, speak of the love of your life, there he is.” Darien’s eyes zeroed in on Brennus. He already had his victim in sight. He careened the man into an alley and he was ready to spring. Oh what an incredibly beautiful blood drinker he was, his eyes glowing like diamonds, beautiful, deadly. By the time Darien and Marcel landed in the alley on their feet, Brennus’s sharp teeth were already planted in the man’s throat. Suddenly Brennus paused. There was no need for anyone to speak. He knew they were there. 87
DJ Manly And he was pissed. It was never a good idea to interrupt a vampire during his dinner. He dropped the body. Darien could still hear the heart beating. That was a good thing. The way Brennus was glaring at them, that was not so good. “Brennus,” Darien said. “Look at me. Don’t you know me?” Marcel grabbed Darien’s arm. “Answer is no. Next move, run!” Darien hesitated just a second, and it was a second too long. Brennus had him by the throat. He rose with him up in the air, his hand squeezing as Darien felt the world spin. Marcel flew up behind Brennus and tried to pull him back. For that, he received a backhand that sent him flying up over the roof. Darien kicked out with his feet. Brennus was about to snap his neck. His eyes glowed ferociously now, his sharp teeth twinkling in the night sky. Darien felt the bite like none other, the fangs sinking deep into his throat, ripping at the flesh there. He was vaguely aware of Marcel yelling something faraway. And then suddenly, he was falling. He hit the ground like a stone. He could feel consciousness slipping away. It was over. Brennus. I love you. I’ll always love you. Save him, Marcel. Save my heart.

Chapter Eight arien opened his eyes with a gasp. All around him were faces, and as his eyes focussed, he saw his sister and Anita. “Brennus,” he said, sitting up straight. Marcel stepped forward out of the shadows. “He’s gone,” he said. “No,” Darien said, “Goddamnit…” Marcel placed a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay.” He nodded. “What do you mean by its okay? How did I get here? Where in hell is Brennus? Is he all right?” “He almost kills you and you want to know if he’s all right?” Marcel laughed. Anna swatted him and pushed him away. “Go suck something,” she said. Anita laughed. Zendle walked into the room now. “Oh, the young vamp is awake. Notice I didn’t say alive.” He grinned. “Very funny. Where is Marcel?”

DJ Manly “I’m here, sucking on something,” he muttered. Darien swung his legs over the bed, ignoring the protests. “Explain, now,” he demanded, going to join Marcel at the window. His legs were a little unsteady, but he felt okay. “You were right,” Marcel said, glancing at him. “Brennus recognized his own blood. He dropped you to the pavement. I wasn’t sure what to do. He turned and looked at me and I thought…okay, this is the end, but then he said my name. Then he let out the yell and realised what he’d done. We both gave you some blood, but you were out.” “Did you tell him—” “I didn’t have to. He remembered everything from when he was under Mel’s control, and boy, was he pissed.” “Then where in hell is he? Why isn’t he here with me, begging my forgiveness for practically…” Darien clutched Marcel’s arm. “He didn’t go back there?” Marcel nodded. “He told me to take you home, that he didn’t have time to explain. There was some reason he had to go back on his own. He made me promise we wouldn’t do anything until he gave the word.” “So we’re just supposed to sit here?” “Looks like it.” “So,” Zendle said, “either one of you boys play Rummy?” 90

**** Brennus figured that Mel would have been calling him for awhile. He knew he was late and he didn’t want to do anything to give himself away. He had all he could do when he walked into the house not to find the little bastard and rip him apart. But that would come later. For now, he needed to save the mortal he had chained up in the basement and teach that slimy demon a lesson he wouldn’t forget. Three days until full moon. He could hold out that long. “There you are,” Mel said when Brennus walked into the basement. Brennus glanced at the mortal, then back at Melvin. The mortal was in no danger until the full moon. “You didn’t come right away when I called.” “I’m sorry,” he said without emotion. “Forgive me.” He smiled. “I’d forgive you anything. Get naked for me.” Brennus stiffened. It was bad enough having him pawing all over him when he couldn’t feel any of it, but now… He gritted his teeth and took off his shirt. “I’m going to send a note to your witch, letting him know how much I appreciate your body. I 91
DJ Manly have a great spell for you also, one that will make you a little more…ah…spontaneous.” You want spontaneous? Wait. “Pants, come on, what’s with you? Did you feed enough?” “Yes,” he said. Darien’s blood would sustain him for weeks. But damn. He’d killed people because of this little shit, those two young people, and two other humans when he was hunting. He whipped off the pants, feeling slightly ridiculous, standing there in front of this creep. Mel ran his gaze over him. “Come here,” he said. Brennus walked over as if in a dream, remaining stiff as Mel touched his genitals. He gritted his teeth again, trying not to expose his fangs. “Check this spell,” he said. He waved his hand around the room and they seemed encased suddenly in a bubble. “Darien, the witch, see with my eyes, look closely and you will have a surprise. This vampire was once in your arms, but now, he gives me all his charms.” Brennus wasn’t sure what in hell was going on, but he didn’t like it. Mel looked into his eyes. Suddenly something wet hit his skin as he shook this stuff from a small bottle all over him. “Love me now, love me forever, want my body, be my sex boy forever.” 92
Ancient Stone Brennus blinked. He sneezed, shook his head. Love spells didn’t work on him. They never had. In fact, that’s how he met Darien. He’d been teaching at the university, and Anna, Darien’s sister, had asked him to put a love spell on him. It made him kind of kooky for a few days. He remembered how angry he’d been. But that’s how he and Darien had found each other. He sneezed again. For a second, Mel looked kind of good to him, but it didn’t last and his brain reminded him that it was a silly spell. He gave him a smile though and put his head on Mel’s shoulder. “Love you,” he said, moony eyed. Mel was pleased. “Darien can see all of this. Now, I want you to fuck me, but gently.” Brennus sneezed again and moved away. Now, how was he supposed to get out of this? The last thing he wanted to do was fuck this little brat. “But what if I hurt you, lover? I couldn’t bear to hurt you.” He put his face in his hands and acted like he was crying. “I’m too strong. Look at what happened before. I need to be gentle.” “I’ll teach you. Brennus. Brennus.” He tried to pull his face away from his hands. “I want my big, tough, macho Brennus, not this little twerp. What are you doing?” “I’m in love.” He sighed. “And you know, that love is sacred, just too sacred to defile.” “What?” Mel demanded. “No, no, not this. 93
DJ Manly Defile me, damn it, defile.” **** Darien was laughing his guts out, making Zendle and Marcel think that he’d lost his mind. “What’s happening?” Zendle asked. Finally, Darien looked at Zendle and Marcel. He grinned and slammed his card down on the table. “Rummy,” he said. **** Tonight was the full moon. Anna came up and hugged Darien from behind. “Miss him, eh?” “Um, desperately. When in hell is he going to give me a sign?” “You need to trust him.” “I know, but what if…the spell is back on—” “It’s broken. And if you want to be sure, we can summon that demon again.” “No.” Darien shook his head. “That’s okay.” “I know it’s hard for you to deal with, but this happened to Brennus, not you, even if it feels like you. He needs to deal with it in his own way.” “Mel’s uncle called again today. I don’t know what to tell him.” Anna shook her head. Darien sighed. “I don’t know if I can keep Brennus from killing Mel. I don’t know if I want 94
Ancient Stone to…the things he’s done. No court could deal with that. Maybe the Wicca counsel should be involved.” Anna nodded. “Where’s Marcel got to?” “He’s not been around lately.” “He knows when to bow out.” “He saved me.” “I know. He’s not bad.” “Brennus made him. He can’t be, not completely, although he’s hard to read sometimes. I have to sleep. Everything all right in the store?” “Fine.” “I’ll do what I can to save Mel, but no guarantees.” Anna looked at him. “I know.” **** Brennus awoke as the sun was going down. Mel was singing that damn irritating song he always sang. He sat up and put on his clothes. “Need to eat, baby?” he asked, walking in the room. Two weeks before he brought a mattress into the room. The headboard lay in its box in the corner. “No,” he said, “I’m fine.” “Put the headboard together okay?” “Anything you want.” “I think I found a way to reverse that spell.” 95
DJ Manly He’d already tried several times. It was making Brennus dizzy, not to mention the smell of those potions. “Tonight you will want to defile me.” He grinned. You’ll never know. “I dig that you love me, Brennus, but fuck me for hells sakes. I’m dying here.” “I couldn’t.” He lowered his head. “I honour you. You are my exalted love.” “Fuck that,” he muttered, walking out. Brennus smiled. “Okay, I’m going to summon that demon,” Mel said. “I need you to bring up the sacrifice from the basement. And don’t eat him.” “Whatever you command, my love.” Brennus walked down the stairs and then paused before entering the cellar. He focussed all his energy on Darien. Darien, come. Come to the house now. **** Darien was in the middle of sorting out some of the new packs of Tarot cards when he heard Brennus. He dropped them back into the box and called to Anna. “I got to go. It’s Brennus.” When Darien arrived at the house, he had to push against a huge wind tunnel to get in. Finally, 96
Ancient Stone something gave and he found himself inside. He paused, listened, then heard voices in the other room. Slowly, he moved in the direction of the living room. Mel was repeating the incantation, the stone in his hand. Brennus stood at his side, securely holding a petrified mortal by the arm. Brennus knew he was there. Hold on, darling. Don’t kill him, Brennus I’m not going to kill him. I’m going to let him go. I wouldn’t give an innocent to a demon. Not the virgin, the witch. He’s not a witch. He’s a slime ball and a murderer. The Wicca counsel will take care of his crime. Brennus, please. I know you’re angry, but— You’re distracting me. Silence. Darien held his tongue. Brennus was acting like that Druid priest again. He’d soften him up later. That demon appeared. He smiled at Mel. Surely he knew the spell had broken. Darien moved closer, feeling very protective of Brennus. The demon looked at Brennus. “You are something. Luscious. Give me the virgin now.” Darien stepped out in the open. “Ah, the witch vampire.” Mel stared at him with hate. “Brennus, attack!” Brennus glanced at him, raising an eyebrow. “Attack who, my love?” “Him, of course.” He pointed at Darien. “But that’s my witch,” Brennus said, releasing 97
DJ Manly the mortal. He looked at him. “If you know what’s good for you,” he told him, “run.” The mortal didn’t wait to be told twice. He ran past Darien so fast, he practically blew him over. Mel narrowed his eyes. “You do as I say,” he told Brennus. “Oh, Mel,” Brennus said, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and lifting him up off the floor. He took the stone from him and passed it to Darien. “Didn’t anybody ever tell you that you can’t make someone love you? You have to earn that love. And right now,” Brennus said, his voice turning to gravel, his eyes blazing red, “all you’ve earned from me is my vengeance. How dare you use the power of the stone against me?” Brennus’s voice boomed so loudly that the foundation of the house shook beneath them. Darien winced. Brennus was pissed. The demon looked on quietly, waiting. “I was promised virgin blood,” he said. Disgusted, Brennus threw Melvin into the wall. He lay there, stunned, unable to move. Brennus turned his attention to the demon. He grabbed it by the neck. “You pathetic maggot, you’re not even significant enough to rise out of the shit, let alone demand anything from me. Get back to your hole before I squash you under my foot.” Darien stood there with his arms crossed, watching all this with a smile. Suddenly, Marcel 98
Ancient Stone appeared. “I got it,” he said. “I brought the virgin blood.” He held up a vile. Darien pointed at the scene. “Doesn’t look like we’re going to need it.” “Now, back to hell!” Brennus yelled, throwing the demon away from him. The demon was gone. Mel was conscious, but he wasn’t moving. Brennus glared at him as he cowered in the corner. Darien walked over to Brennus and threw his arms around him. Brennus hugged him. “It’s okay,” he said. “Are you all right?” “I am now,” Darien told him, “but what exactly did you need me for anyway? It looks like you have everything under control to me.” “For this,” Brennus said, tilting his head and kissing Darien’s mouth passionately. “Get a room,” Marcel growled. Brennus released Darien and looked over at Marcel. He raised an eyebrow. “Hello, Marcel.” “Brennus,” he bowed his head. Brennus turned to look at Melvin on the floor. “Get up,” he barked. Mel jumped to his feet. “I…I…I…” “Don’t say anything.” He pointed at him. “The only reason you’re alive is because of Darien. He has a soft spot.” “He’s a pussy,” Marcel muttered. 99
DJ Manly Darien shot him a look. “I wasn’t the one who went scavenging for virgin rats.” Brennus glanced sharply at Darien. “Virgin what?” Marcel started to laugh. “I don’t think they were virgins anyway. I was hoping the demon wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.” Darien laughed out loud. Brennus just looked confused. A few seconds later, he had Mel around the neck. “What’s going to happen to him?” Marcel asked. “We’re going to put him under the guard of the high Wicca counsel. They’ll decide what’s to be done. First of all, they need to bind his powers.” He glanced at him. “Such as they are.” “And the stone?” Darien asked. “Take care of it for now. I’ll soon think of a good place to hide it again.” “Well, I guess you don’t need me anymore, three’s a crowd and all that,” Marcel muttered. “Thank you, Marcel,” Brennus said. He smiled, then winked at Darien.”Any time.” He was gone. Brennus glanced at Darien. “Take the stone home. I’ll take care of Melvin here,” Brennus grunted. “I’ll be there soon.” “And the house?” Darien said. “I think we’ll, ah…find another.” 100
Ancient Stone Darien nodded and watched as Brennus dragged Melvin out the front door. Mel was terrified, but at least he’d talked Brennus into bringing him to the counsel. Darien studied the stone and smiled. “To have Brennus under his complete control….ah…better not. There were other ways to accomplish that.

Epilogue assuring everyone at home that things After were pretty well back to normal, at least as
normal as they could be, Darien placed the stone in a safe place and prepared his bedroom. He and Brennus had made love many times in his old room. He placed candles all around and left the window open, hoping Brennus would play vampire lover and use that way in. He stripped off his clothes and waited on the bed, naked. Brennus fulfilled his expectations and played right into his fantasy, stepping through the window and letting his eyes glow in the dimly lit room. “I want to suck your…ah…cock,” he said in an spooky voice, making Darien giggle as he leaned over him and fastened his lips to the head of Darien’s erection. Darien pushed him off, laughing. “Hey,” he said, removing his shirt, “isn’t that what you wanted?” 102
Ancient Stone “Yes, but you’re more funny than scary. You’re supposed to say blood, not cock.” “Oh. You watch too many old vampire movies, Darien. And what if I’m not trying to be either? What if I was just trying to be sexy?” he asked, removing his pants. “Oh,” Darien said, getting up on his knees and helping him with the task. “You really don’t have to try to be that. You are sexy.” Brennus placed a hand in his hair. “As sexy as Marcel?” Darien paused and looked up at him. “Are you angry?” Being in love with Brennus wasn’t always easy, especially when he knew everything you’d been up to. “Should I be angry?” “No.” “Well then I’m not angry. You don’t love him. I know that. And I don’t feel threatened by your desire for him because I know your desire for me is far stronger.” “You do, do you?” He smiled. “Pretty sure of yourself?” “Yes,” he nodded. Darien buried his face in his groin, pressing his lips to Brennus’s cock. “I love you,” he whispered against his flesh. “I know that.” 103
DJ Manly “I’m so scared.” “Why?” “I never know what’s going to happen next.” “Doesn’t matter as long as we’re together when it’s over. Do you trust me?” “Of course.” Darien looked up at him. “You’re my angel.” He smiled. “Then trust that we will always be together.” Brennus leaned down and kissed his mouth, sucking just a little blood from his tongue. Darien moaned, pulling Brennus down on top of him, his Brennus, his Golden God, the being he would fight a thousand demons for. And being here in his arms made it all worth it now. Brennus pressed his body closer, rolled Darien around in his arms, and as they levitated, he impaled him, his fingers splayed over his cock. Two sharp teeth sunk into the flesh of his throat and he drank there tenderly and with reverence, then withdrew, pounding his need into Darien’s body. Darien called out his name over and over, crying his bliss, rejoicing in the gift of his body, and the gift of their eternal love. It didn’t matter what happened in the future, Brennus was his for eternity. He belonged to this ancient priest in body, spirit, and in heart, Brennus’s heart, a heart that he could swear he now heard beating in his body. 104
