"I can't believe I'm doing this," muttered Ian, looking at the fuzzy red suit. "Pardon?" the perky blonde manager said blankly. "I said, I'm looking forward to this," Ian spoke more loudly, forcing a smile as he accepted the costume from the woman. He reminded himself that this was a very brief, temporary job, and the money was good. That he would be sitting around at home during the holidays, feeling sorry for himself, if he wasn't doing this. But a department store Santa ... he sighed. "Awesome! Why don't you go on into the dressing room and try the suit on, and we can see if it needs any tailoring? You're slimmer than the last Santa, he didn't need any padding at all!" the manager enthused. "Thanks," Ian said, wondering if that was a compliment or not. He was only fifty, but his hair was a distinguished gray, leading most people to believe he was older. At least he wouldn't need a wig. Just the beard. Which would hopefully keep anyone he knew from recognizing him. He would definitely need the padding, which was ironic because he went to the gym five times a week to stay in shape. He sighed again and headed for the changing room. A few minutes later, a young man slipped through the door. "Oh. Sorry, they told me to change in here," he stammered. Ian already had the red pants on and was pulling on the jacket over his t-shirt. "Ah, you must be one of my elves," he said warmly, eyeing the young man, who carried a colorful 9

costume. He was beautiful, slender, and waiflike, with black hair hanging almost to his shoulders, face flushed from the cold outside. With his full lips and the subtle smudge of eyeliner around his pale eyes, Ian could bet that he'd been mistaken for a girl more than a few times. But to Ian, who preferred men, his sex was more than obvious. His oversized sweater barely met clinging, low-slung jeans, and he could have been a model or a rock star easily. He smiled and extended his hand. "I'm James. Nice to meet you, Mr. Claus," he said with a boyish grin. Ian laughed. "Call me Ian. Please." He shook James' delicate hand, trying not to ogle him. This job had just gotten more pleasant. "Ian. Yes. I'm one of your elves." He dropped a messenger bag on a small desk and hung his costume on a hook. "Have you done this before?" he asked as he yanked the wooly sweater off over his head. Ian snickered as he buttoned the red and white coat. "No," he said, his mouth going dry as James began to strip. He turned his attention to the wide black belt they'd provided him. "Have you?" "Nope. I just got fired from my job, so I was a little desperate," he said as he kicked off his sneakers and unceremoniously peeled off his jeans. He held up the tights, brow furrowing a little. Ian nodded. "Understandable. This does pay obscenely well." He turned toward James, gaze flicking over his body. James was clad only in white Jockeys now. He was thin 10

without being too skinny, and his ass ... Ian had to turn away. "I'm beginning to understand why," James said as he struggled into the tights. With that accomplished he pulled on a pair of shorts the same color as the tights, and then a green tunic on top that reached mid-thigh. He examined himself in the mirror for a moment, then a goofy grin spread across his face. "God help me if my mom comes to see me." The corners of Ian's mouth quirked up as he tried not to laugh. After all, he looked just as ridiculous. James, on the other hand, looked quite adorable to him. "Oh, but you've forgotten the hat," he said solemnly. James rolled his eyes. "Oh, please don't punish me, Santa, for breaking the elven dress code," he said, fluttering his eyelashes. He grabbed the little cap. It was green with a long red feather sticking out of it, and he put it on his head at a slightly jaunty angle. "Please tell me the shoes are not going to have bells on the toes." "They probably do," Ian chuckled, picking up his own hat and settling it on his head. He would dearly love to punish James, but he decided that the boy surely didn't know what ideas he was giving Ian. "But truly, you look adorable. I just look ridiculous." He looked in the mirror at himself. He looked decidedly un-jolly. James grinned. "Not at all. You look very Santa-like. Maybe smile a little. I think scowls frighten children," he said, nudging him with an elbow. "What does Mrs. Claus think?" Ian snorted. "There isn't one." He didn't explain that there hadn't been one since he'd finally admitted to himself, and 11

her, that he preferred men over women. Surely James wasn't asking his sexual preference; it was just small talk. "I shall smile when I must, and not sooner." James frowned a little and sighed. "Oh well, I'll smile for both of us." He reached over and patted the padding over Ian's belly. "My head's spinning thinking of all the people who could potentially show up to make fun of me." "Just don't tell anyone," Ian advised, trying not to stare at the beautiful boy. He couldn't be over twenty-five. He felt like a pervert. "I know I haven't." He couldn't help himself. "You mean you don't want your girlfriend cooing over you in tights?" James snorted a little. "My ex-boyfriend would laugh his obnoxious ass off for a week." He walked over to the bag with the rest of his costume and bent over, getting out the booties and the belt. Ian's eyes widened. This job had gotten even more interesting. "Well, if he does, I'll be sure to leave him a very large lump of coal." He really couldn't drag his gaze away from the boy's ass now that he knew that ass was ... he cleared his throat. He couldn't start thinking that way. Surely James wasn't interested in a man twice his age. James turned back to face him, holding up a pair of bright green slippers with curled up toes and little bells on the tip of each one. His expression was pained. "This costume should come with a mask." Ian tried unsuccessfully to hide a smirk. "So you'd rather dress as Robin? I suppose I could do Batman..." Really, James was adorable. 12
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James sighed and dropped the slippers to the floor to step into them. "That wouldn't be very Christmassy, I suppose." He frowned down at his feet and jingled them a little. "Well, you'll never have to wonder where I've wandered off to." Ian nodded. "Maybe you should have a leash as well," he said as evenly as he could manage. James laughed and raised his eyebrows. "I always suspected Santa was a kinky bastard," he said, winking. Just then there was a knock at the door. "The photographer is here and there's already a line of kids. Are you ready in there?" "Shit," muttered Ian. "Haven't got my bloody beard on yet." He slipped the shiny black boots on and straightened. "Do you need some help? I worked on a couple of plays at school," James offered. "Yes, please, that would be very helpful," Ian responded, holding up the fake beard. "The woman said it was self adhesive." James arched an eyebrow. "Yeah, if you want it to fall off by lunchtime." He spotted a small bottle of spirit gum and started dabbing it along Ian's jawline. "Trust me. If you lose your beard, some four-year-old will be having nightmares for a week. So what do you do besides let little kids sit on your lap for money?" he asked quietly. Ian rolled his eyes. "Would you believe I'm a college professor? I'm generally a bit more dignified than this." James laughed as he started to affix the fake beard to the other man's face. "What a coincidence. I'm a college student. What do you teach?" 13
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
"Sciences. Geology and physics mainly." He wrinkled his nose. "That tickles." "Ticklish, huh? Where else are you ticklish, Ian?" he asked, pressing the fake beard across his chin. Ian raised his eyebrow. "I'll never tell," he said softly. He didn't know if they were flirting or not. Surely such a beautiful young man wouldn't want him. James finished putting Ian's beard on and leaned back. "There. Very Santaish," he said with a smile. "You'll have children eating out of your hand in no time." Ian sneered briefly. "You'll have them squealing over you, as well," he said. "Just don't bend over or the moms might pinch you." James put his hand through Ian's elbow and tugged him over to the mirror. He jingled his toes purposely with a grin. "Don't we look festive?" he asked. "How many days till Christmas?" Ian sighed. At least he had the pretty elf to look at. "Um, twenty-five?" he said, patting Ian's shoulder. It wasn't all that bad, Ian had to admit if only to himself. He liked children, and they did tend to be on their best behavior for Santa. There were the screamers, of course, but for the most part it wasn't too excruciating. James was just adorable and made it almost fun. When the store was closed, Ian smiled and looked at James. "I need a drink," he groaned. James changed back into his jeans and t-shirt quickly and crouched down to tie his sneakers. "Me, too. That seemed like a really long day, didn't it?" he asked, looking up. 14
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
Ian was trying to pull the beard off. "Makes me grateful I'll never have kids," he muttered. He looked at James. "You are old enough to drink, aren't you?" James laughed, straightening up. "Twenty-three. But I've been drinking for more than two years. Shh," he said, putting his finger to his lips. "Why, did you want to go somewhere? There's a kind of mellow little place around the corner." Suddenly Ian wondered if he had made a mistake. James seemed surprised. "I'm sure you have other plans," he said quickly. James was quiet for a moment. "As a matter of fact, I don't. But if you didn't mean to ask me, it's fine. Maybe another time." "I did mean to ask you," Ian said immediately. "I just wanted to give you an out if you didn't want to go out with an old man." James smirked. "C'mon, how many boys can say they got wrecked with Santa Claus?" he said with a wink. He raked his fingers through his hair. "I don't have elf hat hair, do I?" Ian smiled with relief. "Your hair is perfectly lovely," he said, picking the last of the glue off his face. "Am I presentable?" James smiled. "You are surprisingly un-Santa-like. Shall we?" He slung his messenger bag over his head and adjusted it. "We shall," Ian said, smiling. He tried to tell himself this wasn't a date. Just a drink. James led the way to the bar around the corner from the department store. It was a relaxed atmosphere—not too 15
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
pretentious, not too rowdy. There were small tables and a long polished bar. "Near the window?" "Sounds perfect," Ian said, shrugging off his jacket. "What would you like?" he asked, heading for the bar. "Just a beer," James said, peeling off his jacket and scarf and dumping his bag on the floor next to a table by the window. "Um, Sam Adams is fine." Ian nodded and went to the bar. They had Sam Adams on tap so he bought a pitcher. He brought it back to the table with two glasses. James smiled, looking pleased. "Thanks! What do I owe?" he asked, pulling out a wad of mostly singles from his pocket. Ian waved his hand. "It's on me. For helping me stay sane tonight." He poured them both a glass. "Thanks! Although I don't know that I really did anything special." He held up his glass. "To new friends," he said. "New friends," Ian agreed, tapping his glass against James'. He took a sip, then said, "Among other things, you gave me something pretty to look at." He watched James' face, wondering if he was pushing it. But James had to know he was gorgeous. James nearly choked on his first sip of beer, and blushed as he wiped the foam off his lip with his finger. "I live to serve," he quipped. Ian nodded. "The perfect elf," he said solemnly. He loved James' blush. But he was probably a foolish old man to think James would be interested. "I hope I haven't made you uncomfortable," he added softly. 16
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James shook his head. "No, no. I'm just flattered that you think so." He grinned. "Please, don't be shy about telling me I'm good looking. I'll suffer through it. For you." Ian laughed, tension easing. "I can provide details and supporting evidence," he said. He could feel the warmth of the alcohol erasing the stress of the day, and lowering his inhibitions. He needed to be careful. "Although I am my favorite subject, usually, I'd love to hear more about you. Do you live in the city?" James asked, taking a deep drink of his beer. "Yes," nodded Ian. "I've been here, oh, fifteen years now. You?" He couldn't take his eyes from James' gorgeous eyes and full lips. He was dangerously close to becoming smitten. With an elf. "Oh, I have a crappy apartment in Brooklyn with two roommates. But my scholarship only covers tuition, so ... I'm an elf," he said with a grin. "Or a waiter. Or a busboy. Or anything not too terribly humiliating that doesn't conflict with my band playing." "Ah, a band," Ian nodded. "I should have known. You sing, I'll bet..." He could picture James onstage, actually. James laughed. "Very good. I play other instruments, but mostly I've been studying voice. Why, do I look like a rock star?" he asked, still grinning. "Oh, absolutely," Ian grinned, pouring them both another glass and emptying the pitcher. "What sort of music do you play?"
17
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
"Rock and roll, of course. Well, we suck, but a few people tolerate us," he said, smirking. "We have a gig coming up next week if you want to see us. If you don't I'll understand." "I'd love to," Ian said immediately. "And I won't even wear the Santa suit, I promise." He was surprised James would invite him. He hoped he wasn't just being nice. He waved at the waitress, indicating they needed another pitcher. "Really? That would be great! I'll even provide ear plugs," he said with a wink. He took another sip of beer. "I'd like to ask some intelligent questions about science, but other than harmonics and sound waves, it's not really my best subject." Ian smiled. "That's physics, actually, so you know more than you think. But it's all right. I teach at a liberal arts college where most students are only taking my classes to meet their graduation requirements." "Have you been a Santa before? It seems like an odd thing for a college professor to be doing with their vacation, no?" "Nope, it's my first time," Ian explained. "But I have the time off, and nothing better to do with it, so..." He shrugged and looked down. "It seemed like it might fill some time, you know." James was quiet for a moment. "I can't say it would be my first notion of how someone like you would be spending their time. But, I suppose a little extra cash for presents and such appeals to anyone." Ian raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Someone like me? And, pray tell, what do you picture?" He was a little drunk and very relaxed. 18
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James blushed again and looked down. "Well, that depends. I was picturing you sitting in front of a roaring fire in a smoking jacket, with a young man kneeling beside you rubbing your feet." Ian was silent for a moment, considering. "That's a lovely thought. Does the rubbing go any higher?" He was now picturing James doing just that, and he could feel the heat of impending arousal. James gazed directly at him. "I'm sure the kneeling boy would be more than happy to rub whatever you'd like," he purred. "I'm sure all you'd have to do is ask in that voice of yours that could melt solid rock." The heat in Ian's lower stomach suddenly bloomed into full-fledged arousal. His breath hitched and he whispered, "And would my voice work on elves as well?" He shouldn't be doing this—he was making a fool of himself. But he couldn't stop. James licked his lips. "There's a very good chance it might. Do you know any elves you'd want to try it out on?" he asked, taking another deep drink of beer. "Just one," Ian said, eyes on the boy's full lips. He'd never made a connection like this. Of course, he'd had anonymous one-night stands, men picked up in bars, but nothing like this. "Do you think I should try?" James worried his bottom lip between his teeth. "Yes. Definitely," he said, just loud enough to be heard over the din of the bar. Ian leaned closer. "Right here?" he purred. He'd had compliments on his voice before. But they'd never made him 19
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
feel quite like this. And he'd certainly never deliberately used his voice to seduce. James gasped. "Honestly, I thought you'd already started hours ago," he croaked. To see James so seemingly affected by him made Ian harder yet. And bolder. "No, but I certainly thought about what I'd like to do to you, hours ago," he said, pitching his voice as silkily as he could. James downed the rest of his beer. "Do you live far from here?" he asked. Ian blinked. "Not far, no," he said. "You, you want to..." It was still too amazing to believe, really. "Invite myself over? That was the general gist, yeah." He swallowed audibly. "I think this conversation would be more interesting there, don't you?" Ian nodded, throwing back what remained of his beer, eyes never leaving James'. "Let's go then," he breathed, still certain this was a dream he would wake from at any moment. James put his glass down and pushed his chair back. He pulled on his scarf and his jacket, and hoisted his bag over his shoulder again with a smile. "Okay. I'm ready. Lead the way to the north pole, Santa." Ian snickered. "Just don't call me that later," he warned, throwing down a tip and pulling on his own jacket. James laughed as they left the bar. "Don't worry. Without the getup, you don't remind me of Santa in the slightest." Ian raised an eyebrow. "Its good to know you don't have a fetish for the suit then," he quipped. He flagged down a taxi. 20
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
"Its not far, but I'm rather anxious to get there," he explained. James slid into the cab beside him. "No. No red fur fetishes. Although, your lap was looking rather comfy." "I'm told it is," Ian nodded. "Right now you might not find it too comfortable." James scooted closer. "Oh, I don't know about that," he murmured. Ian looked onto James' eyes in the gloom of the dark taxi. "Don't let me stop you then," he said huskily. He was achingly hard now, but he didn't want to hide it. James leaned close and pressed his lips to Ian's ear. "Not here," he whispered. Ian chuckled. "I suppose I can wait a few more minutes then." The taxi came to a stop and Ian paid the driver. James climbed out and waited to follow Ian inside. He bounced on the balls of his feet in the elevator. Ian led them down the hall to his apartment and unlocked the door. He held it for James, still amazed this beautiful creature was here. James stepped inside and looked around. "Lovely," he said quietly. "Remind me not to drag you off to Brooklyn or you might experience culture shock," he said with a flirty smile. He dropped his bag by the door and pulled off his scarf. Ian hung his jacket on the rack by the door and took James' as well. "Oh, you should see some of the places I've lived. I'm unshockable."
21
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James stepped further inside and lingered by the couch, smiling a little nervously. "It's not really that bad, but one of my roommates is kind of a pack rat." Ian turned to James and smiled. He felt more relaxed now. "Can I get you a drink?" he asked quietly. He was rock hard but he wanted to go slowly. "Or a lap?" he couldn't resist adding. James giggled. "I might have had enough to drink for a little while. We do have work tomorrow." He licked his lips. "But don't let me stop you." Ian shook his head. "I only need one thing right now." He watched James, letting himself think about touching the boy's incredible body. "Why don't you sit down, then?" Ian smiled. "That sounds perfect." He walked over to the overstuffed couch and sat on it, looking up at James. James stepped closer and slowly straddled Ian's lap, settling down onto his thighs and staring into his eyes. "Is this what you needed, Ian?" he asked breathily. "Oh yes," Ian replied, gazing back. He put his hands gently on James' thighs, not too far up. "What do you think so far?" James scooted a little closer, resting his hands lightly on Ian's shoulders. "Feels nice for a start." "Perhaps we should move past nice then," Ian responded, gaze on James' full, sensual lips. He leaned a little closer, hesitating just a moment before pressing his lips to the younger man's.
22

James sucked in a sharp breath and kissed back. He arched his back, pressing more firmly against the older man. His lips parted easily as his fingers tangled in Ian's soft hair. Ian moaned as James opened to him, and his tongue came out to tease the boy's parted lips before slipping between them. His hands moved higher, to James' hips, pulling him closer yet. James wriggled on Ian's lap and met the other man's tongue with his own. A needy little sound was muffled by the heat of their mouths. Of course Ian had hoped James was as aroused as he was, but to actually feel the pretty man's hard cock against him was what he'd wanted, and it made him even harder. He pulled James flush against him, kissing deeper. After several long minutes, James pulled back a little to take a deep gulp of air. He smiled shyly at Ian. "The kiss is as good as the voice," he whispered. Ian almost whimpered. James was going to undo him before they'd even begun. "I'm good at a few other things as well," he breathed, letting his need come through in his voice. James smiled. "Oh? And what sort of things are those?" he asked, raking his fingers through Ian's hair. Ian decided that this was likely the best Christmas present he'd ever had. "I suggest you let me demonstrate." His fingers nudged under the hem of James' shirt. James nodded slowly. "That sounds like the best idea I've heard in a long time." He arched his back and reached down to the edges of his t-shirt. He pulled it up slowly, and off over his head. 23
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
Ian groaned softly as he looked at James' upper body. He thought he should feel guilty for beholding such beauty, but he didn't. "You are exquisite," he breathed, his voice rough with lust. James colored slightly. "Your skill at compliments is ground we've already covered," he said softly. "Touch me." "So impatient," replied Ian, reaching up with one hand to gently caress the soft skin of James' chest. "And I suppose you want to be touched someplace specific?" He trailed his fingers down lower. "I'm not in a hurry. I want you to touch me wherever you want." His slender chest rose and fell as he started to breathe more quickly, and his stomach muscles trembled slightly. "Well, I want to touch you everywhere," Ian said, thumb rubbing over a pink nipple. James had the smallest nipples he'd ever seen, and he wanted to know if they were sensitive. James gasped and licked his lips. His fingers moved to the buttons of Ian's shirt. "Then I think we need fewer clothes," he whispered. "That sounds like a marvelous plan," Ian said, leaning forward to flick his tongue over James' perfect ear. James unbuttoned Ian's shirt and slid his fingers down his chest. He moaned softly as the other man licked at his ear. "Mmm ... I've got very sensitive ears. Must be an elf thing," he murmured. Ian smiled against James' ear, then nibbled gently on his earlobe. "What else is sensitive, I wonder?" he asked, running a hand down James' stomach. 24
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James whimpered. He kneeled up and started to unbutton his own jeans. "Oh, all sorts of places," he whispered. "You'll just have to try them all to see." "What a delightful task I have before me, then," Ian replied, his gaze fixed on the button of the younger man's pants. "Need some help?" "Mmmyeah. I think I do," he said quietly. He leaned back a little, pressing his hips forward towards Ian's hands. "It's the least I can do," Ian said, unfastening James' jeans deftly. He could see the bulge in the young man's pants and he couldn't wait to feel him. James climbed off Ian's lap and stood, peeling his jeans down his thighs. He licked his lips and settled beside him, turning towards him. Ian moaned, gazing at the beautiful young man next to him. James only wore his jockeys, and he could see his hard cock through them. It was sexier than full nudity. "I feel overdressed," he whispered. "You are overdressed," he said, sliding his hand up the other man's thigh. "I might need some help," Ian suggested, gazing into James' eyes. "Elves like to help, don't they?" James nodded. His fingers tugged open Ian's belt. "I would be happy to help." He leaned closer and pressed his parted lips to the side of Ian's neck as he thumbed open the button. Ian brought one hand up to comb through James' hair. "Such a helpful boy you are," he breathed. "Were you a Boy Scout?" James' sinful lips were mesmerizing. 25
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James giggled. "I was, actually. I can still fit into my uniform, too." He slid his fingers into Ian's open fly, burrowing into his boxers carefully. "Fuck," muttered Ian. He had a very naughty mental picture from that. James was going to kill him. "You're so fucking sexy." James leaned back and smiled at him as his long fingers curled around Ian's cock. "Do you want me to wear it for you some time?" he asked. "It's a little tight now." Ian's breath hitched. "If I said yes would that make me a big pervert?" he panted, smiling. James' hand on him made him ache. He pressed on the bulge in the young man's underwear. James grinned. "Only in the best possible sense of the word," he breathed. James' hips pressed up and he moaned needily. "I'm so hard for you, Ian." "I can feel that," Ian replied. He squeezed James gently through the fabric. He pulled James into another deep kiss, caressing him. He couldn't wait to take this beautiful young man, but he intended to take his time. James kissed back, opening to Ian, whimpering quietly. He started to stroke Ian's cock in a slow, lazy caress. James' soft touch was driving him higher, and Ian was quite sure he'd never felt so needy. He pulled back and whispered, "Shall we go to the bedroom so I can ravish you fully?" James released him gently and rolled gracefully to his feet. He held out his hands to the other man. "Lead the way," he said with a soft smile. 26
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
Ian stood, kicking away his trousers. He led James to his bedroom, then pulled him into his arms. All doubts fled as he held the slender man. He could feel how much James wanted him and he went on instinct. He kissed him hard as his hands explored his body. James slid his arms around Ian's neck and pressed against him. His hips moved restlessly back and forth, rubbing their cocks together through the thin fabric. This was already the hottest encounter Ian had had for a long time and they'd barely begun. His hands ended up on James' firm little ass and he squeezed, groaning. James broke the kiss to gasp for breath. "Oh God, Ian," he croaked. "Want you. So bad." James' words went straight to Ian's aching cock. "I want to be inside you, James."He gazed into his pale eyes intently. James whimpered. "Fuck me," he breathed. "Please, Ian." He was panting and slightly flushed. Ian groaned. "I think I might need to hear you say that a few hundred more times," he panted. He rocked his arousal against James. James laughed at that. "I'll say it as often as you like. Do you want me to talk dirty, Ian? Do you want me to tell you how much I want to feel you pound me into the mattress? How badly I want your cock inside me?" he breathed. Ian groaned, cock pulsing. "Fuck, James. You're the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I can't wait to make you scream for me." He slid his hand into the back of James' jockeys and slipped his fingers into his cleft. "You want me here?" 27
Santa Please by Jade Falconer
James whimpered a little and pressed his hips back. "Inside me. So deep inside me," he murmured. Ian hoped his control was up to pleasing this gorgeous boy. "You're going to get it, James. Going to shove my cock in your pretty little ass..." James stepped back. "Do you have condoms?" he asked, running his fingers just inside the waistband of his Jockeys. "Of course. You can even pick the color," grinned Ian, walking over to the nightstand. Pulling out a box, he offered it to James. James stepped close and looked them over. "Mmm, no red ones with white fur around one edge?" he teased. "Not this time," Ian said. "We'll have to make do." He let his shirt fall off his shoulders onto the floor. James grabbed a plain one and tore it off the strip. He slowly peeled his shorts down and kicked them off. "And how about lube?" he asked breathily. Ian couldn't tear his eyes from James' gorgeous body. He reached into the drawer without looking, and pulled out a tube. "Good lord," he murmured. James' eyes widened. "What? What's wrong?" he asked, looking down at himself. "Nothing, nothing at all," Ian assured him. "Just that I could almost come just by looking at you." He pushed off his own boxers, his cock springing forth eagerly. James grinned. "I'd rather you come inside me," he said. He licked his lips. "Want me to prep myself?" he asked. "Fuck," Ian said, and nodded. "Very much." The thought of watching James touch himself was extremely erotic. 28

James smiled and climbed onto the bed. He settled on his back in the center of the mattress and pulled his knees up high and wide. He kept his eyes on Ian as he squeezed some lube onto his fingers. "I don't usually do this, but I love the way you look at me," he murmured. "You're the sexiest man I've ever been with. You make me feel like I want to give it all to you." Ian groaned, gaze locked to the gorgeous boy all spread out for him. His cock throbbed, ready. "I want you to give it all to me, James. I want to plunder that beautiful body, slide deep inside you, hear you moan for me..." James whimpered. He slid one finger into his own body with a gasp. "Fuck, Ian." He stared up at the other man as he added a second finger, stretching himself hurriedly. Ian panted as he watched. James was exquisite, and he could only hope he would satisfy him. He watched as James got ready for him, all spread out. He couldn't wait. James writhed on the bed, working his fingers in and out of his body. "Do you like watching me, Ian?" he asked in a hoarse whisper. "Oh, God, yes," purred Ian, stepping closer so he could see everything. "Do you like me watching? Are you thinking of how it will feel when it's my cock in you?" "I love the way you watch me. The look on your face is pure sex," he breathed. He moved his fingers out slowly and licked his lips. "I'm ready for you." Ian slipped on the condom without taking his gaze off James. "And I am so ready for you," he said. 29

James stretched his arms up over his head, arching his slender body. "Well, here I am," he said with a soft smile. Ian climbed on the bed and slicked the condom with only slightly shaking hands. He crawled forward, leaning down over James, and he bent to capture his sensuous mouth. James' fingers again slid into Ian's hair and he moaned lowly into the kiss. His knees came up higher, and his legs wrapped around the other man's waist. Ian was sure he'd never wanted anyone as much as he wanted James. He couldn't even think too much about being inside him because he'd come too soon. There was nothing stopping them now and he pressed his cock against James' entrance as they kissed. James bore down, body straining closer with every twitch of muscle. He moaned as his fingers combed through Ian's hair. "Fuck," Ian hissed, pressing up slowly. He could the feel the heat of James' body waiting for him. He began to slide in. "Ohh, God, Ian," James whimpered. "More, pleasemoreplease..." There was little Ian liked more than to be begged, and he gave James what he wanted. He thrust up gently but inexorably, feeling the young man's body yield to him. It was incredible. James moaned loudly. Panting, he stared up into Ian's eyes and the corners of his full lips lifted into a breathless smile. "Just like that, yeah," he whispered. The way the beautiful young man looked at him was nearly as good as the feeling of his tight, hot body gripping his cock. Ian felt like a god at that moment, and he never wanted it to 30

end. He buried himself in James, fighting for control. "Perfect," he moaned. With each deep thrust, James gasped Ian's name. His hands slid down the other's back, urging him on. Slowly, Ian built up his pace, staring into James' pale eyes as he drove deep, over and over. Each time he pulled out and plunged back in, it felt better. James' body fit him like a glove. A slender, sexy, beautiful glove. It wasn't long before the sounds James made became more and more desperate. "Ohh fuck, Ian," he ground out. "Touch me please." Ian groaned at the impassioned plea. "You feel so good, James, tell me how much you like my cock in you and I might give you what you want..." James whimpered loudly. "Feels so full, Ian. So good. You feel perfect inside me," he panted. Ian drove in a little harder. "You're so beautiful, James. So hot." He ran his hand down the younger man's chest as he thrust in and pulled out, changing his angle a little. James' thin body clenched tightly around Ian's cock. He moaned again. "Oh God, yes, ohh..nngghhnn ... Ian, I'm..." Ian could tell James was close and he moved faster, deeper. He wanted to drive this pretty boy crazy. He reached down and stroked James' cock as he pounded into him. "Scream my name, James..." "Ian!" he cried out as he started to come. His entire body shuddered as hot seed spilled over his belly. Ian moaned, enraptured by the sight of James abandoning himself to pleasure. He kept thrusting, holding back because he wanted to watch James. When he was sure the younger 31

man was spent, he gasped and let himself come. It was spectacular. James smiled up at Ian, still panting. He lowered his legs and stretched his arms up above his head. "Mm, that was amazing," he said. "Indeed it was," nodded Ian, still out of breath. If possible, James looked even more beautiful now, in the afterglow. He lay next to him, wondering if James was the cuddling type. James instantly curled towards him. His hand slid around Ian's middle and he nuzzled under his ear. "Sleepy," he murmured. Ian smiled, wrapping his arm around James. "Well, then it's good that Santa's bed is big enough for a sleepy elf." He paused. "Stay, please?" James inhaled deeply. "Are you sure you don't mind?" he asked quietly. "On the contrary, I think I might be quite insulted if you didn't stay," Ian said, stroking James' arm. He knew it was too soon, but he never wanted the beautiful young man to leave. James smiled, pressing his cheek against Ian's shoulder. "Good. Then I'll stay. Anyway, we have to go to the same place in the morning, right?" Ian grinned. "Yes we do. But I suspect time will pass much more quickly now," he said, then hesitated. He hoped he hadn't overstepped. "I mean, of course, if this is something you'd like to do again..." He hoped James did. He wanted to do all manner of things to the beautiful man. 32

James tipped his head back to look into Ian's eyes. He smiled. "Oh, I definitely think it's worth doing again." He leaned up a little and kissed him quickly. Ian felt relieved. "Santa thinks you've been very good this year." "Mm, maybe Santa will get something he wants for Christmas, too." James rested his head down and cuddled in. "Thanks for letting me stay," he said quietly. "No, thank you," Ian said. "For being you." He wanted to say more but he hesitated. James smiled. "I'm not that special," he whispered. "I think you are," Ian said honestly. "You're going to spoil me," he said, eyes drifting closed as he suppressed a yawn. "Good," murmured Ian, and suddenly he knew that was what he wanted to do. He drifted off to sleep with the beautiful boy in his arms. **** On the evening before Christmas Eve, James slipped off on his break before Ian saw where he'd gone. It wasn't that he was trying to get away from him. Well, he was, but only so that he could finally pick up the Christmas present he'd been eyeing for Ian. Buying him a gift when they worked in the same department store proved to be a challenge. When he got back from break, everyone was already waiting for him. Of course their jobs all ended tomorrow, so it wasn't like he could get fired. "Sorry," he said sheepishly, as he took up his position beside Santa's chair. 33

Ian smiled at James and murmured, "I certainly couldn't begin without my best elf!" and he winked. Then it began again, and the stream of children was constant until the end of the night. James was getting used to the routine which would soon end. He'd already been scouring the want ads for another job, but it looked like he wouldn't really be able to get anything until the New Year. He had enough for rent and food for January and February, although once classes started up again, it would be back to part-time, and less money. None of that was what weighed on his mind most, however. Primarily, he was thinking about Christmas. He had assumed that he would spend the holiday with Ian, since it was obvious his ... he wasn't even sure what to call him ... didn't really have much in the way of family. He'd spent at least four nights a week sleeping over since the first time. He now had a toothbrush in Ian's apartment. Ian had come to hear his band play and not complained. He'd never felt so close to someone so quickly. But he would have felt better if they'd actually discussed it. Not being at all shy about such things, as soon as they hit the changing room, James decided it was time to broach the subject. "So, last day tomorrow," he said lightly. Ian paused as he shrugged off the fuzzy red coat. "Yes," he said after a moment. "I can say it turned out much different than I'd thought." James kicked off the reviled booties. He could guess what Ian was thinking. He'd started to get to know him better and better, and despite how devoted James was to him, he still 34

hadn't quite convinced Ian that he really, truly wanted him. "So, plans for Christmas?" he asked. "And before we get things confused, this is where you invite me over and I smile and say 'yes, please,' okay?" Ian blinked, then smiled. "I'd really like it if you spent Christmas with me," he said. "I'd like to wake up on Christmas morning with a pretty elf." James grinned. "Lovely. But tonight I have to go home. Although I really just have to pick up mail and get a few things I'm missing. If you want me to come back to the city, I mean." He bit his lip. "Do you?" he asked. Ian glanced around. No one was near, and he stepped closer. "I do want you to be with me. Every night." James smiled. "Good. I can probably make it back around ten-ish, and I'll bring enough stuff to stay through Christmas, is that okay?" he asked. He needed one thing in particular from his apartment, that was part of Ian's present. "Sounds perfect," Ian said. "And I can have a late dinner ready when you get there..." James pulled his sweater on over his head, then leaned into press a quick kiss to Ian's cheek. "You're going to make me fat," he teased. "See you in a few hours." Ian chuckled, obviously eyeing James' slender body. "I seriously doubt that. But then we'll just have to work it off." James backed off and hopped into his tight jeans. "I'll need a good workout when I get there tonight," he said with a wink. "See you soon, handsome." He slipped his messenger bag over his shoulder and stepped into his shoes before he slipped out the employees' entrance. 35

After packing a bag and getting his mail, James made it back to the city just before ten. He buzzed Ian's apartment and a moment later he was slipping in the door left open a crack. "Honey, I'm home," he called out, hanging his coat on the hook by the door. Ian emerged from the kitchen, delicious scents wafting out behind him. "Mmm, just in time. I love a punctual elf." He pulled James into his arms and kissed him. James slid his arms around Ian's neck and leaned into the embrace. He couldn't remember being happier or feeling more like someone really cared about him, really wanted him around. They'd spent most of the intervening weeks together. It wasn't just sex. He could have conversations with Ian. They lazed around together on Sunday mornings doing the crosswords. They went out and had fun. He was completely content. Ian stroked James' back. When he pulled away, he said, "You're freezing! Let's get you warmed up. Are you hungry?" James smiled. "It just started snowing as I got out of the subway. James' stomach rumbled at the mention of food, and he flushed. "I'm always hungry. You know that." He followed Ian towards the kitchen. "Smells amazing." Ian peeked into the oven. "The soufflé will be ready in about five minutes. Just don't jump up and down and make it fall." He grinned. "I've got champagne chilling, or there's your favorite beer." He pulled out a platter of fresh vegetables and dip. "As you can see, I used my time alone wisely." He grinned sheepishly. 36

James' eyes widened. "Oh, Ian," he said. He reached out and took his hand. "Can we talk for a minute?" he asked gently. Ian paled a little. "Of course," he said, instantly subdued. "Just let me turn the oven off." He turned away quickly. James waited for Ian to turn back to him. He took the other man's hand and tugged him into the living room. "Please sit?" he said softly. He sat on the couch, leaving enough room for Ian. "There's something I've wanted to get off my chest, and I think this is the right time." Ian swallowed hard and looked into James' eyes. "You don't have to say it," he said miserably. James realized just then what Ian must be thinking. "No, no, I really do. Please, just hear me out," he said a little desperately. He put his hand over Ian's and looked into his eyes. "No one has ever treated me like you do. But, Ian, you don't have to do all of this. Not that I want to discourage you from cooking yummy things, but I don't want you to feel like you have to work your ass off to make me happy. I am happy. Food or not. Ian ... I love you. I'm not going anywhere, I promise," he said quietly. Ian gasped softly. He just stared at James for a long moment. "You ... what did you say?" he breathed. "Say it again?" James' lips twitched. "Which part?" he asked, though he knew. "I love you, Ian. You don't have to hold on so tightly. I'm not leaving." Ian took James' hand. "I was afraid I was smothering you, I thought you were getting tired of me..." he smiled. "I like 37

doing things for you, James. It's not work for me. I love to cook. I want to spoil you." He took a deep breath. "I love you, James." James smiled. "Okay. I just, I didn't want you to think you had to do all that stuff. Maybe I'm just not used to being spoiled, but I would still want to be with you even if you didn't do those things." Ian took a deep breath. "I know it's sudden, but I'd like you to move in with me after the holidays. If you want to, of course." He hesitated. "You'll be close to school and you won't have to work so hard, and just concentrate on your studies..." James bit his lip. "Really? Ian, that's amazingly generous of you. Are you sure?" he asked. Ian's apartment was beautiful, and there was no way James could ever afford half the rent. "Of course I'm sure," Ian smiled. "And it's not all that selfless of me, you know." "It does neatly solve the problem of making time to see each other when we don't work in the same place anymore," he said. He wriggled closer and climbed into Ian's lap, facing him. "You have to promise you'll tell me if you need your space or if you want to kick me out." Ian nodded. "I promise. And you must promise the same. If you need space, if you're getting bored of an old man..." James rolled his eyes. "You're not old," he protested. He leaned in and kissed him lightly on the lips. "Come on. Let's see if sex against the kitchen counter will destroy your soufflé," he said with an evil grin. 38

Ian's eyes widened. "My soufflé! I forgot all about it!" he gasped. James laughed and climbed off Ian's lap. "Oops." The soufflé was perfect as always, and as it cooled on the counter, Ian took James hard and fast right there in the kitchen. **** The next day was the busiest ever, Christmas Eve. But they finished early, and went out for a quiet meal together. They made love several times, and every time Ian looked at James he couldn't believe how lucky he was. He vowed to himself to cherish every moment with the beautiful young man. They drifted off to sleep just after midnight, entwined. The next morning, Ian woke, happy that they had nowhere to go all day long. He stretched, reaching out for James, but instead of his warm lover, his hand touched a box. He opened one eye, and saw, sitting on James' pillow, a brightly colored, beautifully wrapped package. He smiled and stretched. He sat up, looking around for James, but he didn't see him. He didn't hear the shower, so he assumed he was meant to open it. He picked up the package and began to unwrap it carefully. He gasped as he saw what it was. Inside was a reproduction of an antique compass. The casing was solid brass, and the face was silver. The markings were delicately inlaid and hand painted in swirling gothic letters. 39

There was also a note. It told him to seek out due north for the rest of his present. He stood, smiling at his lover's thoughtfulness and stood, pulling on a robe before venturing out of the bedroom, following the direction indicated. In the furthest corner of the living room, tucked beside the Christmas tree, stood James. He was wearing his Boy Scout uniform, complete with badges, dark green kerchief tie, and off-white knee socks. The shorts, which were clearly meant to be roomy on a boy a foot or two shorter, were several inches shy of mid-thigh on James' long legs. Ian stopped, torn between extreme arousal and amusement. Arousal won out, because James really was sinfully erotic this way. He might be going to hell, but he'd have fun on the way. He stepped closer. "I see Santa's been very good to me this year." James grinned. "I think he's been good to both of us. We must have done something right."
