The 1880 colu mn is based on the 1880 ta x list, but is s hown to fit the pres ent -day strip arrange ment (is saraval) rather than the traditional s chema of 18 pangu. The 1954 colu mn is based on the Ve l Vidāne’s plot list (Table 6) and is shown to have a one -to-one correlation with the 1890 c olumn, barring some very s light changes in the area figures. The next co lu mn to the right repeats the left-hand column but inc ludes the modification resulting fro m the introduction of a ‘e xt ra pangu’ (s ee pp. 207 f.).
