Nuggets

One of the bitterest lessons we must learn is that we are nothing. It is a humiliating school— death blows to our spiritual pride bring cries of anguish and frustration. To be shut up to failure that we cannot in any way control, but failure that we must submit to, causes the flesh to cringe and the heart to despair. But although others may judge us as failures, and we, ourselves are ready to admit it, God hasn’t given up. He still goes calmly forward, teaching us, humbling us, confident that He will yet make a vessel of honor from each lump of human clay! He does not despair, so why should we? HE DOES NOT SHOW US OUR EMPTINESS AND OUR HUMAN WEAKNESS TO CAST US ASIDE, BUT TO REVEAL TO US OUR UTTER NEED OF HIM. WE MUST KNOW THROUGH EVERY FIBER OF OUR BEING THAT WE ARE NOTHING AND HE IS ALL IN ALL. Then when He works to give us the desires of our 3

hearts. WE WILL KNOW that each one is a direct GIFT OF HIS LOVE and has nothing whatever to do with our worthiness.

•••• I saw a dove flying between the steep walls of a narrow mountain pass. Watching his silhouette against the bright sky, I heard, "Follow the dove through the narrow way. Keep your eyes high for He is above you. He is a gentle creature, therefore be sensitive to His touch, and cooperate. Be easily entreated of Him, for the more easily entreated you are of Him the more perfectly you will walk before Me.” Herein lieth a powerful secret. Later that day the Lord, still speaking of the Holy Spirit as a dove, further said, "He moves softly, easily—grieve Him not—ignore Him not, but be very alert to His leading. He loves you, covets great things for you and is seeking to lead you into them. Therefore, grieve Him not for lack of attention. Be alive to His gentle movings.”

As I awakened in the night I saw large cookie trays in a bakery showcase covered with smooth stones neatly arranged in various sizes and shapes. They were quite obviously s-t-o-n-es and nothing more. Then I heard, "Without these night sessions these stones would never become bread!” I thought of the many times in the night hours when my "stones” turned into precious nuggets of golden brown bread as the Holy Spirit breathed upon them. From the hitherto dead Word sprang such life and food we could hardly contain the richness of it. Oh, praise God for the LIVING WORD ... but our sufficiency is of God, Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth LIFE. (II Cor. 3:5-6)

•••• Too often we Christians get in ruts and not even the Spirit of God is able to bring us out of them because we have preconceived ideas about what He wants; and He really wants to do differently. How do we recognize this? By following the leading of the Spirit moment by 5

moment and being pliable in His hands, letting Him lead even in the unorthodox thing; steering us into a path we never traveled before. We carry convictions about things because that was the way the Lord led us in days past but NOW He wants to change it. However, we are so set in our ways, we refuse to follow, and continue on in our rut oblivious of His leading. Consequently, we find ourselves in hard times and blame it on the devil (which so often is true! Satan does figure largely in our problems) but we failed to take the turn when the Lord did, or make a change He was seeking to bring us into, and now we are walking alone in our way.

•••• Waking from a sound sleep I heard the Holy Spirit say, "I hear the sound of the Army of the Lord, walking barefoot in the Presence of the Lord!” I was reminded of God’s admonition to Moses, "Remove thy shoes from off thy feet for this is holy ground.” This barefoot army walks on very holy ground, in the very Presence of the Lord. They have ears to hear only His voice, and eyes to see 6

only His will and way. They have one purpose and one mind—to PLEASE HIM who called them to be soldiers. Bare feet signify walking softly in the Spirit. Bare feet are quiet feet signifying a quiet spirit, hushed and still before the Lord. Bare feet are humble feet denoting their (slave) submission to their Master. Bare feet are honest feet—nothing hidden, nothing between our soul and the Saviour. This is God’s army inwardly. Outwardly they are attired in battle fatigues and wear combat boots. They carry their weapons (The Sword of the Lord which is the Word of God) and are experts in its use. They are all seasoned soldiers, veterans of many battles to overcome, and are fearless and very courageous. They are not ignorant of Satan’s devices and are highly trained in spiritual strategy. They are all a one man army able to stand alone at their Commander’s order when necessary, yet they fly quickly to each other’s aid when directed to. Glorious calling! Glorious training! And a glorious maturity! Who would not want to qualify for this BAREFOOT ARMY!!! Daniel 4:35: "He (God) doeth 7

according to His will in the Army of Heaven, and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, what doest thou?”

•••• The young mother was telling me of her spells of depression from which she found it so difficult to overcome. Moods, she called them. I counseled her from the Word of God. I made it clear, these depressions were the results of a demon-personality seeking to project to her his own particular type of unhappiness. I taught her how to resist it. She seemed to understand and then said, "But suppose I do as you say, and still I am so full of fear that I have no faith and I just have to suffer it through?” The Lord gave me this answer: "Suppose an intruder broke into your house frightening you terribly. You know you have a gun within your reach. Wouldn’t you, in spite of your fears, pick up the gun and point it at him and command him to get out of your house?” Yes, I suppose I would, she agreed. Well, face your oppressor and use the Blood of Jesus to stop him. It is YOUR weapon and he is vulnerable to its power. In spite of 8

your fears, turn and take your stand and refuse to give him an inch more of ground. Fasten your mind on the efficacy of the Blood of Jesus and crowd him with it, reminding him of his defeat at Calvary where Jesus put him to an open shame. Demand that he go and the Word says he will flee from you. All the battles are not won immediately, so keep your weapon trained on him and RESIST.

•••• I was doubtful about something and I asked the Lord, "Would it please you if I ruled it out of my life?” His reply gave me much food for meditation: "I want you to be led by My Spirit, not by rules!” It is so easy to lay down rules, build fences and limit boundaries, when all it does is bring us under bondage to stay within them.

•••• In a night session I heard myself say, "I see what you see! I hear what you hear!” It was the voice of faith declaring itself to my Lord. It started me meditating and I wrote the following 9

in my notebook: The Spirit-led Child of God sees what God sees and Hears what God hears, and shares in His secrets and profits by His Wisdom. The world would call this an inside track with God, AND IT IS! The inside track in any race is the shortest way around the course. It takes the least amount of needed effort, and is the place each contender covets. It is the superior position and affords the most advantages. Isn’t this a picture of the Spirit-led Child of God? Walking in communion, hearing and seeing and knowing the perfect will of God in every instance? Isn’t that our advantage and doesn’t it bring us through the race with the least strain and human effort? On the inside track we hug the course, so to speak. And this is representative of the perfect will of God for one’s life. It is completely supervised by our Wise God, and we are SURE OF THE VICTORY. He coaches moment-by-moment the best way to run the course. He dictates every maneuver how to save our strength, how to take advantage of every turn of the way. His timing is perfect, His judgment of every obstacle and hindrance completely accurate, and His counsel without 10

fault—He makes no guesses in this race. Daily we hear His voice of advice and see what He sees to give us knowledge of our way—And praise God! WHAT HE DOES SPARE US IS ASTOUNDING. David, the beloved of God, declared "for by THEE I have run (broken) through a troop; BY MY GOD have I leaped over a wall... THOU hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.” (Psalm 18)

•••• Our God IS ALL POWER! He never puts Himself in a strain to help us no matter how great the need. Miracles are the atmosphere He dwells in. He is the source of them and never is He at a loss. It is as natural to Him to exercise Himself in a miraculous manner as it is for us to breathe. So God’s tremendous acts are performed without conscious efforts on His part.

•••• God has all kinds of people, all kinds of saints. Some are walking on higher levels of understanding than others, and the Lord has 11

disciplined them in some areas that some have not yet reached. Does that make the babes less the Lord’s beloved than the more mature? I don’t think so. Anymore than a high schooler can despise and look down upon a 3rd grader because he can’t work higher math. Yet they are both children of the Father. Who are we to judge who is who and what is what. We can recognize fruit and appreciate it.

•••• So many times we misread each other. We interpret actions to mean what they do not. We are taken in by the pressure of the moment and jump to conclusions that have no substance. We can be dangerously near the sin of judging another. I remember so well expressing my distrust and judging one in particular, when the Lord said deeply within, "Grace, do you know this man?” I answered truthfully, "No, Lord.” "Then why are you judging him?” That brought me to an instant halt, I realized how stupid (even on the carnal plane) it is to heap judgment on another when we have no facts to support it. (Matt. 7:1) 12

•••• With the Blood of the Lord Jesus we tear away the false facade of continued pains, suffering and the lying condition. You have answered! You have heard! These lying spirits are demoralized and bound and their false front disintegrates. Our answers are manifested and experienced with great joy.

•••• People! People! People! What about people, Lord! They are sick and afflicted. They are barren: No fruit—no spiritual offspring—no gifts operating. They do not control their tongues. They criticize My anointed and expect Me to bless them. They are not diligent in their callings. They are lazy in reading My Word, and what is worst, they are lazy in obeying it. They wait for Me to pressure them to carry out My will.

•••• He walks; He never runs! Christ is the 13

beginning and the end of all things. Time has run out for us. We find that He will not be hurried. Come into rest and heed not time or seasons. That which God has spoken will be performed. When we are in God we are in eternity. The times and seasons are in His hands.

•••• Strip yourselves of your former nature—put off and discard your old unrenewed self—which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind—having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude; And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, (Godlike) in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph. 4:22-24 Amplified Bible)

•••• Moses, retired, and tending sheep at 80, was called of God to draw on his every potential and became the great emancipator of the enslaved Israelites!

Joseph’s potentials were developed by God in days of slavery and adversity. A favorite and sheltered son, a dreamer of dreams, yet humble enough to submit to God’s rigorous training; he became, in due time, ruler of all Egypt. Without God in his life he would have never been more than a shepherd.

•••• God knows what YOU are! He knows your obvious abilities and sees others that lie dormant and hidden. Left to yourself you will doubtless develop some of your talents because of the pleasure they give; such as music or singing. But what of the hidden reservoir of undeveloped skills buried within? God knows what is there. He will tap this treasure house and cause you to flourish surprisingly!

•••• When we go without being sent we go naked; when sent, we are clothed with power. God is a jealous God. He will have you to Himself. He will consume all that has any 15

attraction for you.

•••• God does not make anybody a nobody! He wants you to be somebody—to excel, to be first, to fulfill your potential.

•••• Not waiting on the Lord, not talking with Him daily about everything, dams up the flow of love and concern. Love and concern then stagnate, lose their strength and become reduced to nothing. Dread, fears, and frustrations begin to crowd in filling us with inhibitions and restraints that cause us to slowly sink into even greater bondage. “I can’t do that!” is the testimony which is nothing but a lie of the devil!

•••• It matters not to Me how long you fast, or how you yearn in Spirit—but rather that you do it from the heart with all your love and strength. Yea, this is important to Me. Count it not done 16

until you can do this. It isn’t the length of a sacrifice but the quality of the sacrifice that I value. Eat the Word of His mouth. Eat only the King’s meat and He will deliver you from the fire. God is weary of a lot of carnal believers that gather together in His Name. Getting together in the Spirit is the only gathering God is interested in. God is not interested in buildings but in the inner house or spirit of man. A man may teach truth but if there is no anointing, the bread is dry. If you eat bread, be sure it is not without butter. The true milk and meat are found only at His table. Let the King’s meat be our diet. Our meat is to do the Father’s will.

•••• Hold loosely all we have, which includes family, businesses, houses, land, care, and money. We are only stewards of all of these.

This is also true of marriages. Possessiveness kills. When we release ownership and turn it back to God to whom it rightly belongs, then we will come into the right relationship with our wife or husband and with God.

•••• We, as Christians, can have twilight zones in our lives. Because we have not cooperated with God as He sheds the light of His Word upon us, we enter into twilight in that particular area. That twilight begins spreading into other areas and dulls our sensitivity to Truth and clouds the hitherto light areas. Darkness recognizes no boundaries. It will invade even sacred areas of life. (Daniel 5:22)

•••• The other day I was meditating about the marvels that I look for from the hand of the Lord. I was thinking of the part that FAITH plays in it all. I realized afresh it isn’t MY faith that I am banking on, but HIS FAITHFULNESS to keep His Word to me. He is the Source of all 18

the answers and miracles needed, and all faith begins and ends in Him. That lifted a load off my mind. It is much easier to rest on HIS FAITHFULNESS than all the faith that I might stir up and produce myself. We all have a measure of faith, in just believing HE WILL FULFILL HIS WORDS!!! Hallelujah!

•••• Set your goals and aim straight for them! 19

Plan your days to make your goals. Do not waste your days on a hit or miss basis. You will miss. Transfer your attention from side issues to main issues that need priority. This way your goals will be realized.

•••• Exodus 24:6-18 begins by Moses taking the Blood of Atonement and sprinkling the people saying, “This blood confirms and seals the covenant the Lord has made with you in giving you these laws” (Words!) Then God revealed Himself to Moses and the elders of Israel, and they ate and drank with Him. Then Moses disappeared into the cloud-covered mountain. (The glory of the Lord on the mountain top looked like a raging fire.) He was in the mountain 40 days and nights.

•••• The Word of God is light and wisdom. If we love Him, yet turn away from some word of instruction in the Word, we will walk in darkness in that area. Don’t turn away from His truth even if you don’t like it—even if it creates 20

a storm of resistance in your soul. Carefully consider the alternative: the increasing darkness, the confusion that results, and the reduced fellowship in communion with the Lord. He can only reveal Himself to you to the degree you desire His light. (His Word). Many Christians are walking in twilight: that period when the sun is either rising or setting and the light is briefly mingled with darkness. It is neither light nor dark—a mixture —a hard time to be driving a car! Our own headlights do not help.

•••• Satan, I am God’s property and you have no part nor lot in me. I resist you and refuse to tolerate your presence. I refuse to be swayed by negative forces. My mind remains clear and my communication with the Lord potent and productive. You will not stand in my way of writing, revelation or experience. Our business goes right on without one bit of interference. In fact, you are the confused one, the limited one, the stupid one—not I!! Let it be heard throughout the Spirit world that your effort to 21

hinder me is aborted before it ever started! I have nothing to fear from you! He who redeems my life from destruction, delivers me yet again! Praise the Holy Name of Jesus Christ and His Blood Atonement that binds you utterly NOW!!

A Prophecy of Warning! "AMERICA’S FREEDOM GREATLY THREATENED!”

So we interceded for our beloved country, praying, Our Father, we use our authority to abort the evil powers who are plotting our downfall as a nation and a strong Christian witness. In the mighty Name of Jesus we bind their back talk and their schemes, and bring down these wicked imaginations and every high and proud thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We call on the BLOOD OF JESUS to wage a continuous battle against these forces without ceasing. Their works perish aborting. There is no concerted agreement among them. And our nation is delivered from their designs. 22

In the Name of Jesus we strip these wicked men of their powers to turn our legislators in an evil way. Yea, let their voices become weak and indistinct, and let the righteous forces of true godliness and liberty come forth in power and holy conviction. Holy Spirit move on compromising men that they will stand up and compromise no longer. They will take their stand and bend their powers to stem the tide of ungodly influences and bring righteousness back to our Nation’s capital. We praise thee, Lord, for your watch-care over this great nation—keep it great! You are doing such a great work thru the air-waves, turning souls by the thousands back to God, gathering such a harvest of lost men and women! Christian television in this nation is going around the world reaching the spiritually starved, fulfilling their need. Dear Lord, keep our nation strong and free to continue this great ministry. Grant that the Word of God may have free course, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. Amen! 23
