Chapter One Samantha Jensen walked to the edge of the diving board. The water in the pool looked impossibly blue. Almost cerulean in colour. It called to her. Begged her to slip into its liquid paradise and escape the record high temperatures of the afternoon. The Santa Ana winds had picked up that morning and, mixed with the mid-summer humidity, made it hotter than usual. Unable to resist, she dove in headfirst. Into the blue. The surge of water against her breasts gave her instant relief. While far from cool, it offered a momentary respite. She moved her body like a mermaid along the bottom and admired the intricate tile work. Above she watched the water ripple. Gold rays from the sun splashed the surface like splotches of paint. So peaceful. So serene. She'd always felt safe in the blue. It was a place she went in her mind as a child. No one bothered her there. No one made her play favourites. No one else was allowed in. This place wasn't her scene. But it was the need for change that had brought her here. Aware she couldn't stay under any longer, she pumped her legs. Samantha came up for air and treaded water. Her arms and legs looked distorted beneath her as they moved in slow motion. She blinked away the water from her eyes and took in the scene around her. Miles of tanned and toned bodies in barely-there swimsuits. Gorgeous men and women who looked ready for a photo shoot rather than a pool party. With 8

a sigh of envy, she eyed one woman in a pristine white bikini, and couldn't help but admire her sleek tummy. Sure, she'd love to look that hot in a two-piece, but if it meant hours of excruciating crunches and giving up margaritas, then the effort hardly seemed worth it. Her gaze averted to a tall, somewhat interesting blond. Not really her type, but he was easy on the eyes. As he moved out of her view, she was met with the sight of a bronzeskinned hottie in a slim-fitting pair of swim trunks. She sucked in her breath and felt the moisture gather between her thighs. Where had he been all her life? Before she could fully appreciate his rock-solid bod of sin, her gal pal Chelsea swam up beside her. "Flirt with anyone yet?" Chelsea asked in her sugary voice. Samantha smiled at her always perky, always horny copper-haired friend. "Nope, not yet. I'm checking things out first." Chelsea slicked back her wet hair and sent a shower of droplets everywhere. "Quite the attractive crowd, don't you think? The guys look like they stepped right off the pages of a swimsuit calendar." Samantha snickered. "Yeah, I thought the same thing. The ladies, too. I swear none of them eat." Her friend shrugged. "Cool, more snacks for me." She laughed. "Looks like you have it all figured out. I have to say, though, I feel a little out of place. I've never been to a party where I didn't know anyone."

Again her friend shrugged. "It makes it easier to do whatever you want. You can be a total lush and not feel guilty." Somehow she didn't think that possible. Even after years of therapy. "Easier said than done. Besides, I'm still accountable to myself—whatever I decide to do." Chelsea sighed. "You promised you'd be daring. It's why I agreed to come along. I said if you were going to be your usual boring self, then I wouldn't bother, remember?" How could she possibly forget those words? "Yes, yes, of course, I remember. In case you haven't noticed, I took off my bikini top before I jumped into the pool." "Only because you spilled your drink on it." Heat rushed to her face. Damn, that girl had eyes in the back of her head. "Oh, you saw that." "You bet your sweet ass I did. I'm observant. Which is why I've cased this joint already and can attest that this is by far the best party I've ever been to." "As if it could be a party without you," she joked. Her friend beamed. "That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me. Thanks. So," she nudged, "see anyone you'd care to bump uglies with?" There was an understatement. "See that guy over there." Samantha gestured with her chin to the lean, mean, darkhaired dream. The sleek veneer of his skin covered in suntan oil sent her into a tizzy. "He looks like my type." Chelsea's jaw dropped. "Meow wow. Nice choice. Not sure how the hell I missed him. He's ... oh my word!" 10
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Her eyes widened, and she covered her mouth with both hands. Samantha gave her a strange look. "What's the matter?" "Did you check out the size of his package?" She nodded. "Oh yeah, I noticed." "Ding ding ding, jackpot. I wonder if it needs its own passport when he travels? I mean really, the guy is packed tight in those trunks. I'm surprised they don't fling right off him." Samantha couldn't hold in her laughter. "Stop it, or he's going to catch me staring." "Big deal. That man should be used to women staring at his crotch. Damn." Embarrassed, she reached over and covered her friend's mouth. "Okay, enough. You've got me all fixated on it now more than before." Her friend pushed her hand away. "Good thing I'm in a pool right now, or I'd end up with a puddle of drool all along the pathway. Unreal." "Hello, change of subject. What about you? Anyone piqued your interest?" Chelsea snorted. "Oh heck, I'll take one of each. I'm not picky. Especially in this crowd of seriously beautiful people." "Are you referring to the men or the ladies?" "Either, both, all. I don't care. I'm horny as hell, and I plan on getting plenty of action today. How often does one get invited to a pool orgy?" Samantha held up her pointer finger. "First one for me." 11
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
"It's the fifth for me, but who's counting. I'm so glad you asked me along." Up until five minutes ago, so was she. "Considering I have no idea who gave me the invitation I had no intention of showing up alone." "I'm flattered. I still think it's someone from work who gave it to you. I mean, where else do you go?" Nowhere. That was the trouble. "Yeah, I don't know, it's just that no one talks to me at work because I'm always super busy." "Maybe someone noticed and thought you needed to have some fun for a change." She shrugged. "Well, they were right. I plan on having a great time, and I'll try not to care what anyone thinks." Chelsea patted her shoulder. "That's the spirit." "Though if it is someone from work, then it sort of blows your whole theory on being a total lush." "I wouldn't worry about it. Just have fun." She vowed to give it her best shot. "Yeah, you're right. I think I'll start by going up to handsome over there and say hi." Her friend gripped her wrist. "Hang on, harlot in training. Don't go and throw yourself at him right off the bat. You should play hard to get." Puzzled, she frowned. "Wait—I thought you said, or rather threatened, that I better be daring or else." Her friend's sea green eyes sparkled. "Hey, I'm all for you getting it on with the guy, but make him work for it." 12
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
She bit her lip. "But, I don't want to play hard to get. Not with him." Chelsea flashed her an annoyed look. "I'm not suggesting that you ignore him for the entire time, that wouldn't be any fun. But make it work in your favour. Make him come to you. Trust me. I know what I'm talking about. Remember, I'm the one who writes the dating column." "You mean the sex column," she corrected. "Your answer to everyone's problems is to forget about it and have sex." Her friend blinked innocently. "And? It's sound advice." Samantha shook her head. "Last week, a woman wrote in that the dog her old boyfriend had given her had died, and you responded by suggesting she snag a younger man and have kinky sex to get over it. How exactly is that supposed to make her feel better?" "Duh, it would help take her mind off the dog. Anyway, at least I practice what I preach. Come on, you know I wouldn't steer you wrong." She ignored the odd explanation for grief management and refocused her attention on the stranger's washboard abs. She'd love to smooth her hands over that stomach. Hell, his chest, arms, and ... everywhere, actually. "Yeah, but I want him. If I'm going to have a one-night stand, it's going to be with him." Chelsea gave her a knowing smile. "Glad to see you have your priorities straight. Here's what you do. Go up and stand near him, but don't be crazy obvious. If he says hi, act uninterested and start talking it up with another guy." "What if he gets the wrong message?" 13
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
"If he's interested, it will drive him nuts, and he won't be able to think about anything else other than getting your attention. It will consume him." She pursed her lips. "I take it this tactic has worked for you in the past?" "Sure has. And I have the rug burns on my back to prove it." Well, there was an image. "Fine, whatever. But if this backfires, you're in big trouble." "If it backfires, I'll personally send over a male stripper to your apartment. And I'll make sure he's every bit as handsome as that guy." When she put it that way, why not? "Wow. Sounds like I win either way." "That's the idea. Except, I can't guarantee the size of the stripper's cock to be the same as his." Chelsea paused long enough to stare at the guy and then whispered, "I swear that can't be natural. He must have one of those buoys down his trunks." Samantha splashed her friend in the face and busted up laughing. "Stop it. You're always so over the top." Her friend beamed. "I just like to live and have fun. You should try it some time. If you keep playing miss safety pants, you're going to be covered in wrinkles and wonder what the hell you did with your life. You owe it to yourself to find some happiness." "Yeah, you're right." "And," her friend continued, "I think happiness is packaged up all nice and neat inside his shorts." 14
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
She shook her head at the dramatic statement, but it was the other comment Chelsea made that had her stomach in knots. The last thing she wanted was to end up miserable and alone. "I'm here, aren't I?" "Not without hours of coaxing by me, but yeah, I'll give you a smidgeon of credit." "Thanks." "No problem. It's about time you found out what goes on in the real world." She didn't know whether to be offended or not. "And working in an office to make money isn't part of the real world?" Chelsea shook her head. "Nope. It's the boring part. Now, I'm going to go booze and schmooze. Remember what I told you." "Yeah, yeah. I got it. Play hard to get." "Perfect. I'll check in on you later." Samantha watched her friend climb out of the pool in all her naked glory and grab a frosty blue drink. Why couldn't she be as nonchalant about everything? Why did she have to agonise over every detail and make herself sick with worry? "This is your time to break out of your shell," she mumbled to herself. "Don't think, just do." So far she didn't recognise anyone from work, so that was a plus. The whole finding the invitation thing had been a complete mystery. She remembered the bold words written inside. You're invited to a pool party. First we'll cool things off with pool games and drinks. Then we'll heat things up with 15

couples, multiple partners, ménages and more! Fire up those desires, and let your inhibitions go. Swimsuit not required. Be prepared to get very, very wet. She'd mulled it over and called Chelsea, the one person she could count on to talk her into things. Life had gotten way too chaotic, and she needed a day to recharge her batteries. To not think about work, deadlines, or pushy clients. To think about herself for a change, and oh yeah, to get laid. She climbed out of the pool and headed for the table. There was an umbrella drink with her name on it. **** Cole Davidson studied the sultry brunette from across the pool and wondered how long he should wait before he made his move. He couldn't help but stare at the way the water cascaded off her body as she climbed the steps out of the pool. Next to the pin thin women lounging around, she was a welcome sight with her fierce curves. He liked a woman with meat on her bones, and the way those hips of hers swung side to side had him ready to pounce. Never mind the way her wine coloured bikini bottoms hugged those curves or how they accentuated her voluptuous ass. Mmm. He couldn't quite make out the size of her breasts beneath the wet strands of her long hair, but he liked where his imagination took him. "Hey man, great party," his friend, Lee, interrupted with a slap to his back. "Top notch drink selection, too." "Yeah," he mumbled and returned his focus to the woman he planned to seduce before the night was over. She stood in front of the table and made small talk with the bartender. Her 16

musical laugh made its way to his ears, and he couldn't help but smile. If he didn't make a move now he'd regret it. Cole strolled up beside her and grabbed a colourful drink with an umbrella. She looked like a margarita kind of girl. "Pardon me, would you care for a drink?" he asked, trying not to sound like it was a pick-up line. Their gazes locked long enough for him to get lost in her deep green eyes, then she lowered her lashes. Little black fans all wet and plump against her cheekbones. She reached out and took the drink from his hands. "Thanks." She bent forward and wrapped her full pink lips around the straw. He watched the way her cheeks hollowed as she sucked on it. His cock wrenched. Before he could continue, she turned her back to him. He clamped his mouth shut. What the hell? Okay, he'd try again. Cole gently tapped her on the shoulder, and she flashed him a "do not disturb" look that did a number on his self-esteem. "Yes," she practically hissed. His thoughts tangled into a mess, and he racked his brain to come up with anything. "Sorry, I don't mean to bother you, but have we met?" "I doubt it," she retorted and gave him a smirk that pretty much told him she wasn't interested. "Now if you'll excuse me." With his mouth open and ego deflated, he watched her walk away to mingle with a blond guy who reminded him of an old surfer friend from Australia. 17
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Unbelievable. She totally gave him the brush off. Nothing like striking out on the first try. "Ouch, man. That had to hurt." He narrowed his eyes at Lee. "What?" "Getting rejected like that. Had to hurt." His face felt hot, and it wasn't from the sun. "Yeah, it stings a bit." "You're not going to let that stop you. Right? I mean come on, that would be a first." Cole frowned and cursed to himself. When had he ever given up on anything worthwhile before? A thought went through his mind, and he couldn't stop the cheesy grin from spreading across his face. "Uh oh, looks like someone's inspired," Lee teased. He nodded. "Yeah, and I'm going to need your help." His friend's eyes lit up with mischief. "Sure thing. What's up?" Cole led him to the other side of the pool to share his plan. "Let the games begin." [Back to Table of Contents]

Chapter Two Samantha hated not falling into the handsome stranger's muscular chest. And could she have been any more of a bitch? The coconut smell of his lotion had turned her brain into a pile of mush. Maybe Chelsea was right, though. Had she done what came from instinct, she would have acted like a stupid tart. But damn those blue eyes had taken only one second to penetrate right through her. She could easily find happiness there. Even his rough and tumbled voice had made her feel a sense of security she'd been lacking for as long as she could remember. Without paying attention, she sipped her drink too fast and started to hiccup. Great. How attractive? She sighed. It would have been more fitting to arrive with a sign around her neck that said "socially inadequate". The only time she conversed with men was at bars when she went away for business trips, which were rare but perfect for one-night stands. They worked in her favour because she didn't have to bother with formalities. Two lonely people looking for a quick fuck, no questions asked, never to be seen or heard from again. Even if she wanted to date just one guy, it would be a mistake. Not with her mountain of personal issues. She knew how to runoff men better than she could keep them around. But handsome was another matter entirely. She was very attracted to him, and already she was working for it. After following her friend's advice, she hoped he hadn't lost interest altogether. 19
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Samantha scanned the crowd to try and find him when the bartender passed by her with a megaphone and yelled "pool games" so loud, she thought her eardrums would burst. The horde of beautiful people broke from their groups and made their way around the perimeter of the pool. "We'll start with everyone's favourite, the lap swim," he announced. "Anyone who wants to play has one minute to get into position." Curious, she took a step back and watched the men jump into the water and swim to the other side, while the women stripped naked and sat at the edge of the pool. To her surprise she noticed Chelsea getting in on the action, too. She didn't know what was going on and decided she definitely needed to get out more. "Everyone ready?" The crowd waved their hands in the air and cheered. The bartender shouted, "On your mark, get set, go," and blew a big red whistle. Samantha watched the men swim in a straight line to the other side of the pool where the women sat waiting with their legs spread wide. One by one the men broke through the surface of the water and nestled their faces between the women's legs. Samantha felt her eyes bug out. What the hell? This wasn't any kind of lap swim she'd ever seen before. This was ... erotic. Raw. Unbelievably arousing. Her pussy flooded at the thought of some stranger going to town on her in front of everyone. She'd never considered herself the voyeuristic type before, but she found it damn near impossible to watch without being fully turned on. 20
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
The whistle blew and the men stopped, swam to the other side of the pool, somersaulted, and swam back only to lap clits again. She stared in awe at the way the women tossed their heads back and ground their pelvis against the men's mouths. They trembled and moaned with their lips curled in pleasure, faces flush. Each time the whistle sounded, the men swam a lap and then continued suckling clits until one buxom blonde cried out. "And we have a winner," the bartender shouted into the megaphone. The rest of the contestants stopped to watch the woman thrash about then broke into applause. Samantha squeezed her thighs tight, more than aware of how wet she was. It wouldn't take much right now to get herself off. If she had any kind of nerve at all, she'd find a secluded spot and put herself out of her misery. Stunned, she still couldn't believe what she'd witnessed. It had been so random and unexpected. The next time, she heard someone yell "lap swim" at a pool party, she'd be the first one in. Through it all, she'd kept an eye out for the hottie and hated to admit how grateful she was to not see him participating in the game. Not like it mattered. She had given him the cold shoulder and didn't hold any claim to him. But it would have pained her to watch him with some other woman. She resumed her attempt to find him and found her legs had gone all liquid. She took a few wobbly steps and ended up bumping into someone built like a brick. Unable to regain her balance, she fell into the deep end of the pool without any sense of grace. 21
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Embarrassed, she considered staying at the bottom, but her lungs demanded air. She pushed off the tiles and rocketed to the surface where the noise of the party resumed. Hair plastered to her head, she glanced around until she heard someone speak behind her. "Hey, are you okay?" She drew in her breath. The voice sounded familiar. In a good way. She turned and couldn't help but break out into a smile. Handsome's blue eyes glittered in the sunlight like sapphires. "Um, yeah. I'm fine." "Good." Next to him floated an inflatable pool mattress that he gestured at with a slight nod of his head. "Consider me your personal lifeguard and hop on." It seemed impossible, but he was sexier up close. Beads of water slid down his clean-shaven face and trailed along his square jaw. Samantha volleyed her gaze between him and the mattress. She weighed her options. If she turned him down again, it would ruin her chances with him for good, and she didn't want that. Besides, she'd played hard to get once already, and Chelsea never said how long to keep it up. She wiped the water from her face and nodded. "I'd like that. Thanks." He held the mattress while she flopped on. "My name's Cole by the way." "I'm Samantha," she replied and situated herself on her back. "I've never seen you here before. You a virgin?" "What?" She flashed him a look of surprise. 22
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
He chuckled. "First timer, I mean." Heat fanned her face. "Yeah, first timer." "Nothing wrong with that." He bobbed beside her and pulled the mattress along. Now this was the life. Samantha stretched out her legs and was surprised to feel water on the backs of her thighs. She tried to look between her legs without tilting the mattress. That was strange. "This is probably a dumb question, but why is there a hole there? Am I laying on it wrong?" A big grin spread across his face. "Nope." When he didn't bother to explain further, she decided it wasn't worth worrying about. In fact, she mentally told herself to stop with all the questions and just enjoy. It was a gorgeous day and she'd managed to gain the interest of an equally gorgeous man. Why complain? She shifted into a comfortable position and closed her eyes. The warmth of the sun felt nice against her face. How many summers had she missed out on for the sake of booking clients for their own personal vacations? The thought made her wince. Jamaica, Aruba, Hawaii, New Zealand. Places of paradise she'd only dreamed of going. Even her business trips were just that ... business. She never had time to sightsee or play tourist. Why hadn't she made use of all her vacation time and discounts? There were plenty of travel agents to cover her shifts, despite what her boss claimed. So she was the best and held the record for employee of the month, big deal. She could be lounging on a white sandy beach. Sipping margaritas in front of a crystal blue waterfall. Getting pampered beyond belief. Other people did it. Why not 23

her? This hectic lifestyle she led had to stop. Where were the benefits if she didn't escape once in awhile? She took in a deep breath and let it all go. For the moment she felt like a queen being escorted around the pool on a chariot. Okay, it wasn't quite a chariot, but it was fun to pretend. The gentle rocking of the water helped relax her. Here she was, out of her element and borderline content. So content, she almost dozed off until the shrill sound of a whistle being blown brought her back to consciousness. Now what, she wondered. "Our second pool game will begin in one minute," shouted the bartender. "Anyone for the raft ride?" Samantha raised her head and shielded her eyes as she glanced around. A bunch of mattresses like the one she laid on were thrown into the water, and she guessed those were the rafts. Curiously they too had a hole like her raft did. She watched the women hurry to claim one and climb on top while everyone else gathered in the pool. To her surprise a chestnut haired man swam up to the other side of her and together with Cole they pushed her closer to the shallow end. Much like the lap swim, she had no idea what to expect, but this time, she refused to just watch. "At the sound of the whistle, begin," called out the bartender, and she looked to Cole for some sort of help. "I don't know how to play. What should I do?" He winked. "You'll figure it out soon enough. But you won't need this." He pulled loose one of the ties of her bikini bottoms while the other guy did the same. She felt the 24

material slip away from her skin and the heat from the sun against her exposed sex. Thank goodness she'd bothered to wax or she would've been humiliated right about now. "I'm Lee," the chestnut haired man to her right said and held out his hand. She reached out and shook it. "Samantha." "Pleased to meet you. I—" The rest of his words were cut off when the whistle blew. Right away the water started rocking the raft. Those in the water who weren't next to a raft were moving their arms back and forth, making waves. She gripped the sides to steady herself. The guy who called himself Lee smoothed her hair away from her breasts and traced a figure eight around her nipples. Instantly they tightened into hard nubs. She looked to Cole and watched him duck under water and disappear from the end of the raft. In the blink of an eye his head popped up through the hole between her legs. Samantha had no choice but to spread her thighs to accommodate him. Her body shuddered at the close proximity of his mouth to her pussy. Not even half an inch. His hot breath made her pulse race. "Ready," he asked. Ready for what? she wanted to know. But as she stared into the blue of his eyes, she didn't feel the need to concern herself. Without question, she trusted him. If her counsellor could see her now, she'd probably sign herself up for a session or two. She smiled and nodded. "Sure." 25
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Cole smiled up at her and then licked the inside of her thigh. Tiny flames ignited deep in her core. In a gentle sweeping motion, he slid his tongue up and down her thigh, like he was making a design. Tingles of desire gathered along her skin. She tensed her muscles as his lips moved closer to her pussy then moved to her other thigh. Pure torture. He had the most perfect nose. She loved the way it sloped. And his hair, all inky black with a gentle wave to it. She watched the way he tended to her. Eyes intent. Lips just so. It turned her on something terrible and wonderful at the same time. She moaned her pleasure, and he nuzzled his face between her legs. "Cole," she sighed. It sounded right coming from her lips. His was the kind of name that fit with hers. She'd be proud to introduce him to people, just to say it. Cole and Samantha. Nice. The water sloshed about the raft, and she rested her head back. Lee continued caressing her breasts and nipples, sending a bevy of sensations through her. A warm gust of wind fanned her face. This was the closest to her version of heaven she ever expected to be. "You're beautiful," Cole said, and she grinned so wide her cheeks ached. "And you have the most beautiful pink pussy." Any other time, she would have been embarrassed as hell but not now. It made her want to be open to him even more. He brushed his lips over her slit and dragged his tongue along the rim. All her past inhibitions seeped right out of her and sank to the bottom of the pool. She didn't have the dark 26

to cover up what she considered flaws. There was no comforter to hide under. She was naked. Exposed. Afloat for the world to see. Her thighs fell open further with a will of their own. Cole kissed her slit gently, then harder sending a jolt through her. With the tip of his tongue he separated her folds. She forced herself to lie still and not squirm. There were things going on inside her body she hadn't experienced before. Little pings and tiny explosions. An awakening. Samantha trembled again when his fingers splayed her pussy apart wider. She waited with her breath held as he tongued her clit. "Oh," she gasped and gripped the sides of the raft tighter. She stared up into the cloudless sky. Safe in the protective colour of the water, of the sky, of his deep blue eyes, and none of it was in her mind. It was all very real. Samantha turned her head and looked around through a misty gaze. The pool was a sea of yellow rafts that swayed with women on top in various stages of pleasure. It was the most incredible thing she'd ever seen, even more exciting than the lap swim. She guessed it was because she was a part of it. Lee's warm, wet hands cupped her breasts. He leaned over, his mouth propped above a nipple. "May I?" She nodded and watched his tongue circle her nipple. In some ways, she felt almost removed from herself, as if in a dream. Two guys pleasuring her at the same time? Another first. The experiences she would've missed had she not come. It helped put things into perspective. There was pleasure to 27
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
be had in life, she just had to be a part of it rather than hide from it. Cole traced his fingers along the lips of her pussy and then slipped one between her folds. At the same time, Lee wrapped his moist mouth around her nipple and suckled it intently. A spark started from somewhere in her belly. Like a lit fuse the heat travelled along her skin and spread across her face. She welcomed it and cried out when Cole slipped a second finger inside. It had been too long since anyone had taken the time to open her this way. Too long since she'd connected on a different plane of emotions. "For someone who hasn't played this game before, you're a pro," he said in a low, languid voice. She tried to come up with something witty in return, but when his tongue swept along her clit she lost all ability to think, let alone speak. Her body convulsed. With a skilled touch, he prodded and pressed against the sides of her clit. Lee furthered her arousal with his tongue, lips, and teeth tight around her nipple. She didn't think it possible to be any more charged. Another dark-haired man came up to the other side of the raft and mumbled a name she quickly forgot the moment he suckled her other nipple. Three men pleasuring her, oh yeah, this had to be a dream. One hell of a dripping wet fantasy that she never wanted to wake up from. While the two were busy with her nipples, teetering the pointed crests between their lips and teeth, Cole ran his tongue up and back along the soft folds of her pussy. really know any of the men, aside from their names, she felt a connection with Cole. Not just because she had singled him out earlier, but she felt different around him. He licked her clit, harder and faster until she felt the blood rush from her face. She heard the other women sighing in ecstasy. Such a beautiful, ethereal sound that it made her head spin. So melodic. So sensual. A raft bumped into hers. A hand reached out and she let her fingers touch. She didn't need to open her eyes or see who it was. For now, it just didn't matter. Cole kept on, his hot mouth clamped around her clit, propelling her closer to the sweet surrender of an orgasm. He pumped his fingers inside her soaked pussy, and she trembled violently. The rocking motion of the water aided in the ecstasy of the movements provided by the three men who so expertly catered to her body. She'd never felt closer to people she didn't know. The fingers of the other woman gripped hers tighter, and she held onto them for dear life. For all she knew it was Chelsea, but she liked the mystery of not knowing. She imagined a chain of rafts drifting with everyone pleasuring one another. Men giving head to other men. Women tasting each other's sweet cream. She heard the most exquisite cries of bliss and realised they came from her. Her body tightened. She was close to coming. It was right there, spiralling around the edge, lost like she'd been for years. Like her, it waited for the right person to come along and show her the way. His tongue laved hard against the right side of her clit and her eyes fluttered open. 29

"I'm so close," she moaned. "So very close." Cole sensed her frustration and aimed to do whatever it took to free that stubborn orgasm. He loved the taste of her and couldn't get enough. As far as he was concerned he could eat her out all day. And the sight of her soft pink slit made his cock hard as stone. It excited him to have her open for him. She trusted him, and he wouldn't let her down. Her legs tensed along the sides of his face. He pumped his fingers swiftly and rubbed at her clit. Her face turned several shades of pink and her lashes fluttered. She opened her mouth and squeezed her eyes shut tight. He knew she was ready, and he was going to take her over that edge. He pressed his tongue against her clit and felt the orgasm release. "Oh yes, yes," she screamed, and her body thrashed. Her juices coated his tongue. He knew she would taste sweet. Cole waited a moment, licking up her cream like it was dessert, and then kissed the still-throbbing clit. He ducked under the raft and came up to the other side of her, nodding to his friends that he could take it from here. They kissed her breasts and moved away. Her eyes were all glazed over, lashes at half-mast. Such love and trust emanated from her eyes. "You're even more beautiful than ever," he said, unable to keep the words to himself. A tinge of pink spread across her cheeks. "Oh stop it." "It's true." His gaze followed the curve of her breasts and the crested tips of her nipples. Everything about her was perfect. 30

"What you did was amazing," she whispered. "You taste amazing." He leaned over her to kiss her when Lee cleared his throat. Cole looked up. His friend gestured to him from the side of the pool. He clenched his jaw. "I'm a little busy right now." Lee gestured again. Cole groaned. He didn't want to leave Samantha. "Come here. What is it?" Lee shook his head. "I've gotta tell you something important." He waved him over. "Just come here and tell me." His friend approached and kept his voice low. "It's Matt. Looks like he chose tonight to end his two years of sobriety. He's in pretty bad shape but insists he's okay to drive home. What do you want to do about him?" "Shit." He sighed. Of all the times to go off the wagon, Matt had to pick now. "Are you able to drive him?" Lee shook his head. "Can't. I hadn't planned on driving so I helped myself to the alcohol. Sorry." He understood. Besides, Matt was his responsibility. He'd lost track of how many times he'd bailed his friend out over the years. "Yeah, no, that's cool." "I'm just afraid he's going to kill himself and a bunch of other people if he gets behind the wheel," Lee explained. That visual didn't work for him at all. "I'll handle it. Thanks for letting me know." He and Matt had been friends since they were kids. Poor guy had led a miserable life with abusive parents, and then 31

he'd gotten involved with a gang. Things looked up when Matt had gone into rehab and cleaned up his lifestyle. Cole wondered what set him off this time. He turned his attention back to Samantha. He didn't want to spoil the mood by getting into it, but she was sure to dislike what he was about to say. "I hate to do this, but I have to go. Will you excuse me?" He ran his hand along the side of her cheek. A sexy glow radiated all around her. For a moment she was quiet, and then her brows pinched together. "I don't understand." "There's something I need to take care of, so I'll be gone for a little while. I'm sorry. Honest." A hurt look crossed her face, and it made him feel lousy. "Oh, I see. You're getting back at me for earlier. You want me to know what it feels like to be rejected." The thought hadn't even crossed his mind. "What? Oh hell no. That's not it at all. I just can't explain right now. I promise that I'll be right back and then we can spend more time together. Okay?" She turned away from him and slid off the raft into the water. "Sure. Whatever." Cole was torn but didn't have a choice. He climbed out of the pool and quickly dried off. He grabbed a pair of jeans and wrestled a shirt on over his head. Lee helped him get Matt into the passenger side of his car and belted in. "I'm fine to drive, man," his drunken friend slurred. "Oh and by the way, great party." 32

"Thanks." Cole started the car and pulled out of the driveway. "I guess I'm the idiot for inviting you when I planned to serve drinks. What kind of friend am I?" Matt swung his head in his direction. "Nah, man. I've been to plenty of parties and not had a single drink. I just started up again two weeks ago after I lost my job." So that was it. He'd been occupied with other things and hadn't spoken to Matt in about the same length of time. Now he felt worse for not being there for him at a low point. "How exactly did you lose your job?" "I helped myself to the register." He tried to ignore the strong alcohol on his friend's breath. "Why did you do that?" "Because I asked for a raise, and they wouldn't give me one. So, I gave myself one." Cole stiffened. "You can't do stuff like that." "I know. I regret it now." He felt like saying it served him right, but didn't want to push his friend too hard. "I'll bet you do. I'm sorry about the job, but I'm more sorry you're back to drinking again. You were doing so well." He glanced at the clock on the dash and sighed. It would be at least another forty minutes before he would see Samantha again, and he didn't figure she'd be there waiting. Cole inhaled and smiled at the way her scent lingered on his lips. "I don't feel right," Matt suddenly wheezed beside him. "I can't catch my breath." His friend gasped for air and then slumped over. 33

"Shit, Matt." He reached over and shook him but didn't get a response. "Stay with me, okay?" He banged his fist against the steering wheel and changed lanes. "Hang on, man. You're going to make it." [Back to Table of Contents]

Chapter Three Samantha downed her third margarita and dragged herself onto a chaise lounge. Somehow, she'd screwed things up again. She'd been so used to being the one who ran from the bed after sex that she felt like she was on foreign soil with Cole. His abrupt departure after her orgasm left her with too many questions. And feeling like a complete idiot. Should she have pleasured him right then? She would have ... she should have. Or was it simply a game he'd played with her. Were any of the other women acting like a clingy possessive girlfriend? Doubtful. Samantha smacked her head. She was doing it again. Internalising everything. Taking things too personally. He didn't owe her anything. A warm breeze settled over her, and she felt her body relax. She couldn't get up even if she wanted to. She barely made out the conversations of the people around her. Their lips moved, but she didn't know what they were saying. Were they talking about her? Where was Chelsea? She hadn't seen her for hours. God, was she drunk? She'd never gotten wasted off three margaritas before. Talk about being a lightweight. "Hey girl, you don't look so good." Samantha looked up and was ecstatic to see her best friend. "Where have you been?" "Oh, you know. Practising what I preach. I can't talk long because I've got a certain somebody waiting, but I wanted to let you know that I'm proud of you." 35
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
"For what?" "Please. I saw you on that raft with that stud and two other guys. Well done you." She waved her hand. "Oh that. Yeah, it was fun." Chelsea's smile faded. "What's the matter?" Her eyes welled with tears. "I don't know. I think I leaped before I looked and am just now processing things." "Well stop doing that. You really should read my advice column more often. Especially the parts where I suggest to just go with the flow." She knew her friend meant well, but nothing she could say would make her feel better at this point. This was why she'd avoided relationships all along. Well that and the fact her parents had horrible fights she'd had the good fortune of listening to every night until they'd decided to go through a nasty divorce and put her in the middle. "Yeah, I'm sure you're right," she concluded and rubbed her forehead. Just because her night had turned to crap didn't mean she had to ruin her friend's night, too. "I'll be fine. I think a nap will do me good. It's probably a mix of margaritas, not eating, the heat, and a mind-blowing orgasm." Chelsea laughed. "I could handle a mind-blowing orgasm tonight, too. Here's hoping. Anyhow, you sure you're going to be okay?" "Yes ma'am, go have fun. The night is still young and all that stuff." Her friend patted her arm. "Okay. Take it easy."

"Mm hmm." She planned to. No more what ifs or wallowing in self pity. It only made her feel worse. Samantha closed her eyes and drifted off. When she opened her eyes again, it was slightly darker and only a few people remained. Soft romantic music played nearby, a classical violin and piano piece. The pool lights were on and made the water look even more inviting then before. Torches were lit all along the pathways and a string of miniature lantern lights hung from the fence. The breeze was still warm, and she decided it was the perfect time for a midsummer night swim. She walked to the deep end and eased herself in. The water was just the right temperature. Not too warm and not too cool. She loved the feel of the water between her thighs. It reminded her of the soft flutters of Cole's tongue along her clit. She would never forget this day. Despite the way things turned out, she'd still had a fantastic time. More than she could have hoped for. But like all good things, it had to end. She considered leaving when Cole slid into the water beside her. "Mind if I join you?" She couldn't decide if she was angry with him or not. It hardly seemed to matter now. He was so close and swept her up in his eyes. "I don't mind." "Good." He slicked his hair back from his face and stared at her with such tenderness. "I'm sorry I had to leave so quickly earlier. I had to take care of something that couldn't wait." 37

Samantha shifted her glance away and focused on one of the torches. Anything to not look into his eyes. They promised too much, and she'd only get hurt. "It's fine, really," she said and shrugged her shoulders as if to drive home her point. "Being the host and all, I felt responsible," he stated. "A guest needed a ride home." Her mouth opened, and she just about swallowed a mouthful of water. "The host? You mean, this is your house?" He nodded. "Yes it is." "Are you serious?" "Very." "I had no idea." "And I had no idea I'd have to leave right after being intimate with you. I hurt you, and I feel awful about it." Whatever anger she'd held onto, disappeared. "You could have just said you needed to drive a guest home. I would've understood." "Well he, Matt—my friend, he had too much to drink and I ended up driving him to the hospital. Alcohol poisoning. I feel bad for leaving the way I did, but I didn't have time to explain. I hope you can forgive me." She felt terrible for jumping to all the wrong conclusions. While she'd never had any good role models for relationships, she still knew better. "Of course. I'm very sorry. Will he be okay, your friend?" "Yeah, he's just had it rough. Anyway, enough about him. I was worried you'd left before I had a chance to talk to you. I didn't want you to leave mad." 38

He moved in closer, and all she could think about was the way his tongue had brought her to the most amazing orgasm she'd ever experienced. "Don't worry about it. I'm just bummed that we'll never know who won the raft game." He chuckled. "Everyone's a winner in the raft game." "Ah, makes sense. So, no more pool games?" "Not tonight. It was all just my way to seduce you anyway." She gave him a sidelong glance. "What do you mean?" He sighed and shook his head. "You really don't recognise me?" Samantha frowned. "No, why, should I?" "Well, we do see each other every day." Her heart hit her stomach and came back up. "Please don't tell me we work together." "Nope." She cocked her head to the side and studied his face. There's no way she would've forgotten those eyes. "Then, I'm not sure where we'd run into each other." "Maybe this will refresh your memory." He turned away from her and then didn't say anything. The water sloshed along her shoulders from the movement. Was something supposed to happen? Patiently she waited until she couldn't take it anymore. "Um, I don't get it. I thought you said no more pool games." He turned back and smiled. "It's not. I thought seeing me the way you usually do might help tweak your memory." 39

Talk about riddles. "Clearly the heat has melted part of my brain. You're going to have to spell it out for me." "I'm your cab driver." Her eyes widened. "No way." "Yes, in the flesh. Literally." "But that's impossible. I—" Why wouldn't she have recognised him? She replayed her daily morning routine. Wake up late, a quick shower, tea with too much sugar, run out the door with heels in hand and usually a jam stain on her blouse. Like clockwork the cab was always parked outside her apartment, and she'd pour herself in along with her purse, briefcase, a change of clothes, and a gym bag—just in case. Had she never bothered to look at the man who drove her everyday? Was she that involved in her own little bubble of chaos that she couldn't be bothered to acknowledge the driver's existence? "I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say. I didn't even realise it was the same driver each time. I figured you guys switched out." "Nope. Same one." "Have you been driving me for long?" He grinned. "For about eight months, now." Samantha swallowed hard. "Eight months? There goes my excuse that I'm not usually like that. Apparently, I'm a total basket case in the morning." "At least, you reserve it only for the morning," he joked. "You're usually much more subdued after work, but then you're still scribbling in your planner and chatting it up on the cell phone." 40

She blushed. "I can't believe I've never taken the time to say hi or look at you. Wow. You must really think I'm a bitch, especially after the way I acted earlier." His expression turned serious. "Believe it or not, that would be the last word I'd use to describe you." Oh yeah, this guy was a charmer. "What words would you use to describe me?" "Well, for starters. Beautiful. Shy. Sexy. Focused. Successful. Sweet. Endearing. Soft. Delicious." She felt her cheeks burn. "I could go on." "Maybe you shouldn't." He smirked. "I'd be happy to." Samantha held up her hands. "That's okay." She couldn't handle all the compliments. "So, to take the spotlight off me for a moment, why a cab driver?" "Years of being a designated driver, I guess. I drove my friends to and from parties. I'm not much of a drinker, save for an occasional beer. Add to it that desk jobs make me claustrophobic. Plus I know my way around here, all the side streets and shortcuts. It just made sense." "And then you get stuck with a freak like me every morning. Poor you." "Not at all. In fact, despite the reasons I just gave as to why I became a cabbie, I was ready to quit. Then you called in to be picked up. Your voice intrigued me, so I told myself I could do it for one more day. Right away, I liked you and wanted to know you better, but didn't have the nerve to say anything." 41
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Samantha laughed. "And eight months later, you finally made your move." "What can I say? I'm a patient guy. So, same question to you. Why a cab driver? Why not drive?" She hated relaying all her issues to someone she'd rather impress. "Let's just say it caused unnecessary stress that I didn't need. I honestly don't miss it." His smile widened. "Well it's to my advantage that you don't drive your own car, otherwise it would have been difficult for me to slip you the invitation." She'd been wondering about that for days. "How did you manage to pull that off?" He reached out and traced her collarbone, sending goose bumps all over her skin. "I set the invitation in the backseat on the floor. I was fairly confident you weren't going to know one way or the other if you'd dropped it yourself." "You're a smooth operator." His finger moved up the side of her neck and followed her jaw line. "I try." "Here you know all these things about me, and I don't know much about you." His voice turned husky, and he pulled her close. "We can change that." Her pulse raced. "What did you have in mind?" "I'd love it if you'd stay the night. I'd like to make up for ruining the mood earlier." Wonderful as it sounded, she had a pile of things to get done. "Oh, that's no good. I have work to do later tonight, and then some calls to make in the morning. Even when I 42

have a day off I've still got a lot to do. I pretty much do the work of four people." Samantha stopped and realised she was rambling at record speed. Was it really work or just nerves? He kissed her forehead then her nose. His hands trailed her chest and cupped her breasts. Her nipples crested the moment his thumbs swept over them. She raised a brow. "What do you think you're doing?" "Isn't it a little late to play shy?" He had a point. She decided to come clean. "Work stuff aside, I've never stuck around with a guy long enough to learn more than his name. This is new territory for me." "Ah. A virgin." Samantha laughed. "I think I prefer first timer." "Sure thing." Gently he pinched her nipples and heat barrelled up her body from her toes. She wanted to melt right into him. "It's really nice of you to offer. I'd like to say yes, but with all..." He leaned in and silenced her with a kiss. His lips were soft and moist. This time she did melt into him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She welcomed the feel of his tongue as it slipped between her lips. He groaned into the kiss, and his warm breath fanned her throat. She pressed against him, enough to feel his erection. She imagined her legs wrapped around his waist, his cock deep inside her. When he broke away, she was left breathless. Oh how she wanted more of that. To lose herself in him completely. Cole released her and brushed his thumb along her cheek. "Please, stay the night. In the morning you can go about your business, if that's what you want to do. I think it's time you 43

gave up just a little bit of that control you're addicted to and let someone pamper you." She was still buzzing from the sensuous lip lock. "If you're going to keep kissing me like that, I just might have to." "I plan to." Samantha bit her lip. Part of her wanted to leave, just because it was familiar. "I should probably check on my friend." "Oh, she's being well taken care of. By the pool boy and his boyfriend." "Seriously?" She snorted. "Go Chelsea." He pursed his lips. "Did you want to join them?" She chuckled. "No. I'm content right here with you. I'm curious, though. What made you want to know me more?" "Who wouldn't want to get to know you?" he retorted. Her eyes narrowed. "Oh please, that is so cliché." He smiled and as usual it broke down her defences. "Okay, okay. It's not any one thing. Your energy excites me. It's contagious. It makes me want to be around you." She shook her head. "Really? You don't think I'm a wreck?" "Oh, absolutely. A wreck, a control freak, indecisive, and completely irresistible." Samantha rested her hands on his shoulders and shivered at the way her nipples grazed his chest. "You have a wonderful way with words." "I've always thought so. Plus a pool party was the perfect excuse to see you in a bikini." She grunted. "Don't go there." 44
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
"Why not?" "You and I both saw the babes in bikinis who were here earlier. I don't compare." A frown marred his brow. "You're beautiful. I mean it. And I'll keep telling you that until you believe it. Anyhow, it's obvious you need a guy like me to help you let go. Today has only been a small sample of what I can do." Today had been her first taste of a freedom she'd long since forgotten. "Actually, you've helped me more than years of expensive therapy has." His brows knitted. "I take it you've hit a couple rough patches?" She nodded. "I used to be obsessive compulsive. I slip into every once in awhile, but I'm learning to manage it. Stress is my biggest trigger and while I've done a good job lessening it at home, it's work that does me in. I can't seem to find a balance there no matter how hard I try. So yeah, I'm a bit of a control freak and a whole lot of mess. Are you sure you want to try and be my remedy?" He kissed her neck, and his lips brushed her earlobe. "I'd be happy to give it a go. Even if it takes all night." "I warn you, it's a lot of work," she added. It only seemed right to give him one more chance to back out. He slipped behind her and whispered, "Let's give it a try." Cole did his best to not go animalistic on her, despite the fact having her so close drove him wild with need. Just because he'd waited eight months for her didn't mean he could abandon all efforts to be a good lover. She'd only had a day to figure out whether she wanted him or not. 45
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Tenderly, he swept her hair aside and kissed the curve of her neck. Her skin felt soft and dewy against his lips, and made him crave more. He loved the way she sighed and leaned back into him. Without knowing, she was making it even more difficult to keep a sense of control. He slid his arms around her waist and kneaded her breasts in his palms—lush, full breasts he couldn't wait to kiss. "Mmm," she moaned and wiggled her ass ever so slightly. That did it. He was more aroused than before, and it nearly did him in. What he wanted most right then was to feel her pussy again. To revisit the velvety texture and stroke her clit. Cole trailed a hand down over her tummy to between her legs and cupped her pussy. In response, she parted her thighs and whimpered in pleasure. This was too much. Much as he wanted to draw it out, he couldn't. The images of tasting her earlier were too fresh in his mind. He gathered her up in his arms and made his way to the shallow end of the pool. As he walked up the steps, she clung to him tighter. The Santa Ana winds were blowing hot, making it even more important to slip his cock into her moist, wet pussy. She skimmed her fingers along his face and outlined his lips. "You wouldn't know what happened to my swimsuit, would you? It seems I've gone and lost it." Cole knew exactly where both her top and bottoms were, but right now he had her the way he wanted her most. Wet and naked. He showered the bridge of her nose with kisses and smiled. "I'll never tell." 46

Her musical laugh drifted into the air and he was relieved they were at the special area he'd set up for them. When he'd come back from taking Matt to the hospital, Samantha had been sound asleep in the lounger. With Lee's help, he'd lashed two of the air mattresses together and dressed it up a bit with silky sheets. It was a beautiful summer evening and he'd hoped she would give him a second chance. This time he refused to screw it up. Gently, he placed her on the makeshift bed and slipped out of his swim trunks. She was a vision laying there, her eyes intent on him and sparkling against the golden light of the torches. "I watched you watch the others during the lap swim. And I watched the others tease your nipples. Now, I get you all to myself." He hovered above her and rested a knee between her thighs. Willingly, she opened herself to him. The sight of her naked pussy affected him all over again. "Cole, I—" "You don't have to worry," he interrupted. "No one is going to come out here." She smiled. "I wasn't worried. I was about to say that I want you." The words were as beautiful as her laugh. She reached for his cock, but he clasped her hand and kissed the tops of her knuckles. If she touched him, he'd spew all over her in two seconds flat. "Not now. I'm too wound up for you to do that. Tonight I just want to be inside you. Is that okay? You've got me too fired up." 47
Into the Blue by Ann Cory
Her palm smoothed along his chest. "Okay. You sure it's not the hot wind that has you fired up?" "You're hotter than the Santa Ana winds any day." From beneath a towel he took out a condom and unrolled it over his cock. It was the kind with the "added pleasure for her". At least he hoped it would give her extra pleasure. She watched him put it on then gave him an incredulous look. "You weren't kidding when you said you planned to seduce me." Now he was embarrassed. "I only hoped. But if it was to happen, I didn't want to be unprepared." "I like the way you think, though I'm surprised." He pursed his lips. "At what?" "That they make a condom big enough to fit you." Oh he loved this woman. "You're stroking more than my ego with words like that," he said, unable to suppress a ridiculous grin. She spread her thighs and ran her tongue along her lower lip. "I'd stroke more if you'd let me." The desire reflecting from her eyes was all the foreplay he needed. "Trust me, I want it but another time. For now, I need to be inside that sweet pussy of yours. I loved watching you come before. It drove me crazy." He massaged her clit for a few seconds and slipped his fingers inside her. His pulse pounded at how wet she was. Her heady scent drugged him, and all hope to hold back vanished. He couldn't go another second. Cole rested his cock against the folds of her slit and slowly eased inside. In an instant, her cheeks were covered in pink, and her lips were parted. She 48

was a vision. More beautiful than all the dreams of her combined. He thrust into her to the hilt, and she rocked her hips against him. He helped bring her legs up and around his waist as he slid in further. It made his cock harder to watch his length slide in and out of her slit. He loved the way her pussy clung to him, so tight and moist. Cole sped up his movements, fascinated by the feel of her. He wasn't far from an orgasm, but he didn't want to come until she had. He pumped faster, wanting to drive her to that point of no return. Her nose scrunched up, and her lips curled. "Yes," she gasped and matched each of his movements. They rocked together, reminding him of the waves on the beach. Though the wind blew hot against his face, and his throat turned dry, she was all the nourishment he needed. "I'm going to come," she whispered and clamped her legs tighter around his waist. He thrust into her at lightning speed and thumbed her clit. Her face screwed up and her eyelashes fluttered. Cole thrust once more, and it was then she cried out. He gripped her hips and groaned at the way her pussy contracted around him. It was just what he needed to push him over. Head tossed back, he bellowed, uncaring who heard. He slowly pulled out and removed the condom. "That was wonderful," she sighed, her eyes glazed and half-mast. "Yes, it was." He nestled next to her and caressed her body. "And so are you." 49

Chapter Four In the morning, Samantha found herself in a great big bed with the sunlight pouring in from three large walls of windows. The view outside was spectacular, something right out of a summer vacation brochure. A sandy brown beach started from the French doors, and led out to a sparkling blue ocean that stretched for miles. This was her idea of paradise. She yawned and checked the time on the bedside table. Ten o'clock? She couldn't remember when she'd last slept in or so late. What a fool she'd been. It was becoming clear she needed to make better choices. She'd denied herself so many pleasures, and one by one, Cole was awakening her to them. Samantha glanced outside again and saw the bronze hottie unfold a couple of lawn chairs. Quickly, she grabbed a sheet and wrapped it around her body toga style. She opened the French doors and stepped out onto the sand. It felt like warm silk beneath her feet. "Hey sleepyhead," he greeted with a warm smile. "How do you feel?" Samantha felt ten years younger. "Like a brand new woman. I didn't mean to sleep in so late." His smile didn't falter. "No worries. You slept so soundly, I didn't want to wake you. Are you hungry? I can fix you something if you'd like." He looked like a dream in a pair of black swim shorts, his chest smooth and sun-kissed. Oh she was hungry all right, 51

but for the feel of his body against hers not food. "Not right now but maybe later." Cole motioned forward. "I've made us a little place here on the beach. We can sit in chairs or on the towels, your choice." She hurried onto the multi coloured towels lined up side by side. "Towels are fine. That way we can be closer." Samantha sat and bent her knees in, hugging them to her chest. She couldn't get over the amazing view in front of her. The waves tumbled then smoothed out into a thin coat of foam that reminded her of pancakes when they're first flipped. Cole sat down next to her and draped his arm around her shoulder. "It's another beautiful summer's day. Of course, you have all that work to do so you probably won't be able to stay and enjoy it." Samantha winced. That had been the last thing on her mind. "Oh stop it. Work can wait." He kissed her, and she could taste the salt of the ocean on his lips. "That's my girl." She smiled at those words and leaned further into him. "Anything you want to do today," he asked, his voice a gentle lull. "I'd love to just hang out here on the beach with you. Or I'm up for practising that lap swim game. I think I could really get into it." She felt his smile widen against her. "Anything you want, and it's yours." He reached over with his other hand and tugged at the sheet, but she batted him away. "Excuse me. Grabby hands." 52

He chuckled. "Are you being shy again?" "No. It's just that someone might see. You know, familytype people. I don't want to offend anyone." "Are you kidding? You have a beautiful body, what's to offend? But this part here is private beach access only, and I can attest that my closest neighbour won't be around for several months." Samantha was impressed. She remembered when she and Chelsea had first driven up. They'd figured someone had gone through a lot of trouble to rent such a nice place for a party. It had to have cost a fortune. "I have to know. How does a cab driver afford such an amazing house with a private beach?" Samantha instantly clamped her hand over her mouth. She felt terrible for the way that came out. But if he took it wrong, he didn't show it. "Well, part of it was inherited by my parents. The other part I owe to you. Between the cab fare and all those tips you used to throw at me, I've done pretty well for myself. So, in a roundabout way this place is part yours, and you're welcome here whenever you'd like." A seagull flew overhead and joined a group of other birds on the beach. "I could get used to this." She turned to him. "I could get used to you. Hopefully my silly little issues don't scare you off." "Why do you call them silly?" "Because I'm a big girl and should get over things." She wished they made a on-off switch for these things. 53

He shrugged. "I'm a believer that the most important things take time. Or at least eight months." Samantha laughed. He had a way of making her feel normal. "You're crazy." "For you, yes. I'd say this house is big enough for me, you, and all those issues of yours." She sighed. "I'm glad you invited me to the party. I would have really missed out. You've made my whole summer." "Well, I was bound and determined to get your attention one way or another." "I bet I know how to get your attention." She turned and removed his shorts. His big cock hardened instantly. Samantha let the sheet fall away and straddled him. As she bent forward to lick his cock, he reached forward and swung her around so her ass faced him. "There's no way I'm waiting for that sweet pussy of yours for another minute," he growled. "I've been waiting all morning." Before she could protest, he probed her clit with his tongue. Every touch from him sent little jolts of ecstasy through her. She reciprocated the pleasure by taking his large cock into her mouth and sucking him hard. He groaned, and she took him in further, loving his taste and texture. She had no idea how long they spent mutually mouth fucking each other, but she loved the sensations running rampant through her. He seemed to know every pleasure point, and then some. Her body teetered on the edge, but she liked it there. Such an incredible high. She faintly heard the 54

sound of the ocean in the background. Heard its raw power and felt it too as he continued suckling her clit. Samantha drew her lips tighter around his cock, bobbing her head up and down until she heard him call her name. She paused and looked behind her. "Yes?" Her juices on his lips reflected the sun. "I could taste you all day but I'm feeling greedy. I need inside you." She started to turn but he grasped her hips in his hands. "Lean forward on your elbows. I want your luscious ass high in the air." Her pulse thundered. Would he take her from behind? Excitement coursed through her. She leaned forward and rested her forehead against the towel. So many firsts. "Let me lube you up first. It will be cool for just a second," he explained, and she readied herself. The first feel of the liquid made her body jerk, but it turned warm as he spread it all along her anus. With his finger he worked her open until she relaxed, and then he inserted a second finger. "Cole," she moaned and rode the intense sensation. "You're so tight," he murmured and added more lubrication. Again he pumped his fingers inside her and added a third. She moaned, moving against his fingers. The warm breeze made her nipples harder, flickering at her like a multitude of tongues. "Are you relaxed?" "Mm hmm," she sighed and nearly came undone when he rested the head of his cock at her entry. "We'll take it nice and slow." "Okay." 55

Inch by blessed inch, he pushed through her tight sphincter hole, and she cried out in blinding pleasure. When he was all the way inside, he paused and reached down to fondle her clit. "Oh yes," she moaned. "Yes," he returned in a husky groan and pumped his cock, slow at first then faster. The pounding of the shore grew louder, almost drumming with the same rhythm as his thrusts. Samantha slammed back into him, lost in the beat of her desire. She was close to an orgasm and shut out any thoughts that would keep her from one. His hands closed tightly around her hips, and he impaled her, rocketing her forward and back. Her hair swung wildly about her face. "Come for me," he growled. "Let yourself go, and come for me." With a couple more rapid strokes, she felt the release deep in her core finally spill over. Her entire body shook as she called out. She'd never come so hard before and cried out as a series of tiny shocks followed. Cole's grip tightened around her hips, and he too let go, his voice so loud it frightened the birds away. She watched them soar over them and then sighed contentedly. Slowly he withdrew and brought her back with him to lie on the towels. "It's going to be different come Monday when I drive you to work," he said softly against her ear. 56

"Well, I've been thinking about that, and I've decided it's time for a vacation." He turned to face her. "Where do you plan on going?" "Maybe I could stay here?" His lips widened into a smile. "You've got it. I've saved up plenty of vacation days. Anywhere else you want to go?" She had drawers chock-full of brochures on places to go, but none of them could compare to being with Cole. "It's hard to think of anywhere else when I look around here and see paradise." The hot Santa Ana winds picked up, and he wrapped her tightly in his embrace. Samantha let her gaze linger on his face. She traced his chin and stared into his eyes. Stared into the blue. Her safe place. She was home. [Back to Table of Contents]
