Dragon’s Dare Willa Okati Noah’s watched the dragons for a long, long time now, and he’s not sure what he thinks about them. Are they monsters getting ready to plunder the Earth? Are they planning to help? Are they curious? He doesn’t ever think he’ll get a chance to find out… …but he’s wrong. When one of Noah’s fellow soldiers trades him to the dragons, Noah finds himself in the care and keeping of Zacharei, a dragon who’s most definitely only interested in finding out as much as he can about humans. Specifically, Zacharei wants to know what sex between humans is all about. It’ll be a lesson neither of them ever forgets.
Chapter One “Don’t try to fool me. I know you better than this, and I know you’re awake.” The man on the other side of the reinforced steel door knocked three times in a row, paused, knocked once, paused, and knocked four times. “See? Now you know who I am, too.” Noah stayed where he was, where he’d been dropped -- how long ago? -- half a day, almost a whole day, more? -- after being dragged through the streets, a canvas bag that smelled of stale straw pulled over his head and his ribs aching from being kicked. He did lift his head to stare flatly at the door, then propped his cheek on his forearm. He didn’t answer Dob. Why bother? “Noah, don’t be stubborn.” Dob rapped four times in rapid succession, his annoyance showing. Dob had always had a short temper, and it grew even shorter when he was nervous, as did his patience. “I’m coming in, all right? Don’t try to attack me. It won’t do any good.” Noah shrugged silently. “Noah, answer me.” Dob rattled the spin-lock on the door. “You told me this was not airtight,” Noah heard him accuse someone else outside. Ah, so he had partners in crime. That didn’t surprise Noah. Dob wasn’t the kind of man who’d come up with something like this on his own. After all, it took a lot of imagination to come up with the plan of selling your lieutenant out to the dragons, and still more insane creativity plus a belief in fairy tales to believe a dragon would trade his help for a human sacrifice. Possibly the wildest fantasy of all was how Dob, apparently, thought Noah was a virgin fit for sacrificing to a dragon. Dob. Not the sharpest tack in the box.

Unfortunately, Dob did happen to be one of the strongest and most stubborn fools Noah had ever had the misfortune to know. Grief, he was stubborn. Once he got an idea in his head, there was no talking him down. Noah and the corporal of the freedom fighters, Dean, had had to bail Dob’s ass out of dangerously hot water more than once before. Jeff, their captain, figured Dob would get himself in a jam he couldn’t be rescued from sooner rather than later. Trouble was, none of them had figured Dob would toss someone else in the fire first. “It isn’t airtight,” Dob’s traitor-in-arms snapped, his tone whiny and reed-thin. “We tested to be sure.” “I still don’t like this,” a low female voice protested. She sounded more like a reasonable type. “We’ve got no idea that this kind of nonsense will help us at all.” “No? Then tell me, how could it hurt?” Dob asked with the kind of patience he’d show to a slow-witted child. “Might not be so great if the dragons don’t like traitors,” the woman replied dryly. “Dob, I’ll be plain. This is insane. Noah and his vigilantes have been doing a hell of a lot of good.” “I’m among their numbers,” Dob protested. “This is my way of helping.” The woman snorted eloquently. “I still don’t like it.” “You don’t have to. Listen to me. The last of the World Wars has nearly finished us, the humans. Little food, little water, little safety. If we are to last another generation, we must have help.” “And you think the dragons are the answer?” “Why not? You know that dragons are rich, that they have caves of wonders full of treasures.” “Money’s worthless,” the woman pointed out. Noah rolled to his stomach, ignoring the protests of pain from his ribs, and propped his chin on his forearm. Whoever this was, he liked her. She had common sense. Hmm. Maybe I can use her…

“Money is not the point.” Noah had his doubts that Dob believed that. After all, hadn’t he demanded a high price from these city survivors for providing them with a human gift for the dragons, claiming that for sacrifice to mean anything they had to give up things that mattered to them? Noah smothered a laugh. Dob still didn’t have a clue, did he? Dob paused, as if trying to figure that out, then made an impatient “tch” noise and went on. “Enough of this. I know what I’m doing. Noah!” He banged on the door. “We are coming in. Do not attack, do not fight, do not try to run.” The lock spun, and the heavy steel door creaked slowly open. Dob peeked around it, so comically wide-eyed with fear that Noah couldn’t help hooting at him. “What’s funny?” Dob demanded, pursing his lips sourly, like he’d been sucking on lemon rinds. He shoved the door far enough open to be able to walk through. A skinny, nervous man and a sturdy woman, perhaps in her late twenties or early thirties, followed him. “Is your head cracked?” “You’re asking me?” Noah rolled his eyes, knowing it was petty but would drive Dob up the wall. He stood, stretching his arms above his head. “Skip the speech about how it’s a far, far better fate that I’m going to, okay? I get the idea.” Dob actually looked offended. “It is a better fate!” “It’s not the best of all possible options for him,” the woman murmured. “You shut your mouth! Noah, what you will do for us by going to the dragons, it might save all our lives. They are mighty, they are fearsome, and if they will help us by protecting the cities, then we humans may survive after all.” Noah had to admit Dob’s reasoning would sound good to any outsider. Not to him. He knew, all too well, that in the end this all just boiled down to greed and fear, Dob wanting to get the dragons on his side. He gazed at Dob until Dob fell silent, his bluster drying up and leaving a heavy, uncomfortable gap between them. He glanced at the woman behind Dob and mouthed tell the others during a second in which Dob cleared his throat and looked away, a faint, dull red coloring his cheeks.

The woman nodded once. Good enough. Noah held his head high. “Let’s get this over with. Take me to the dragons.” He wouldn’t run, and he wouldn’t beg. He’d face the dragons like a man, a real man, and he’d fight the good fight, the honest fight. He hung on to his resolution even as they shoved and wrestled him through the filthy city streets -- their idea, not his, as he came quietly. Gobs of slimy garbage from mockers splattered him, skinny dogs barked at his heels, and old women cackled at his plight. Noah didn’t flinch when they arrived at the gate between worlds through which he’d travel to dragon space -- or so Dob and his followers figured. The few times the dragons had come to nose around humans or been spotted circling in the skies above, they’d emerged through one of these breaks in reality where their two worlds overlapped like two sheets of paper laid one atop the other. “Good luck, my friend,” Dob had the gall to say as he tried to push Noah toward the arched, shimmering gate. “Before they… well, before the dragons take their due, tell them why you’re there, and what you ask of them for our sakes.” “Why don’t you come along with me and ask them yourself?” Noah invited, pleased at the way Dob blanched. He wasn’t anywhere near as happy with Dob’s hard push between his shoulder blades that sent him stumbling forward, then tumbling through the bizarre gap into dragon space. He’d never taken drugs, knowing they weren’t safe -- especially in these post-war times -- but grief, this had to be what a bad high felt like. Or perhaps this was what Alice felt, tumbling down the rabbit hole. Pure whiteness with no walls, ceiling or floors or horizons, yawning out forever, seeming to have no end --- until, with a heavy thump and jolt, Noah landed. The journey had either taken days or merely seconds. No telling. As it was, he barely had time to realize he’d made it, that he was in the dragon lands, before huge yellow eyes stared unblinkingly into his.

“Well, well,” the dragon rumbled, its forked tongue flickering as it spoke. “What new treasure is this? Is it for eating?”
Chapter Two The dragon trailed its tongue along Noah’s leg, dragging up what few tatters remained of his jeans. His chest, bare, prickled with goose bumps at the raspy scrape of the dragon’s licks. While the dragon sampled his flavor, nostrils flaring, Noah sat still, not flinching once. “You are a brave one, are you not?” the dragon asked unexpectedly. The color of its eyes changed from sulfurous yellow to a startlingly deep purple, almost a gentian hue. The shade clashed hideously with its moss-green scales. Noah wrinkled his nose. The dragon regarded him curiously, flicking its tongue idly against Noah’s calf. “What does this expression mean?” Noah touched his nose and ran quickly through his options, deciding on truth. Why not? He didn’t have anything to lose. “It means I think you’re ugly,” he replied. The dragon huffed out a gust of hot air that tingled on Noah’s feet. It took a moment for Noah to figure out he’d amused the beast. “Ugly? How so? Because I do not look like one of you two-legged weaklings?” “For starters.” “But you knew this before you made the funny face.” The dragon tasted Noah’s bare toes, curling its tongue around the largest and tugging. “What makes me uglier now? My colors?” “Green and purple, never a good idea.” The dragon huffed a second time, definitely entertained now. “Interesting.” It took one last taste and croaked in disgust before saying, “Your flavor is unappealing. Why did you roll in the dirt and your castaway foodstuffs?” “You mean, why am I filthy and splattered with garbage?”

The dragon considered his question. “Gar-bage,” it said as if to itself. “Yes. Why?” “It wasn’t exactly my choice.” Noah studied the dragon in turn, cataloguing every detail he could, partly out of the natural instinct to understand his enemy and partly out of sheer curiosity. The dragons had been flying over the city almost since the day after the last world war ended, but he’d never been anywhere near this close to one before. If this dragon was an example of its kind, it wasn’t anything like what Noah had expected. They looked huge up in the skies, as big as a military tank, at least, with wingspans that almost darkened the brightest days. This one looked to be about the length of a luxury car, back in the times when there still were such things as fancy sedans. Up close, its scaly hide was sleek as a regular lizard’s, the moss-green color solid all the way from horny head to idly twitching tail. Hmm. Noah sat up, looping his arms around his knees and grasping his wrist with one hand. If someone had come up with a way to combine cats and snakes and then super-sizing the result, that would be what the dragons most closely resembled. He started to ask the dragon if it was true that its kind really could blow fireballs, but the dragon overrode him. “Green and purple do not mix,” the dragon mused. “Should I change again?” Noah shrugged. “What does this mean?” “It means I don’t care. Change or don’t change, whatever makes you happy.” The dragon huffed and sat back on its haunches. “You do not fear me,” it said as if this was just now sinking in. “When I have flown above the cities, the little humans on the streets have all screamed and run about, banging into each other, sometimes knocking each other down. It is funny. But you, you do not seem afraid at all. Why?” “Probably because I don’t have anything to lose. Why worry about the inevitable?”

“And what is this inevitable fate?” The dragon dropped to all fours and began to circle him, sniffing curiously at his crotch and then his face. It flickered its tongue against Noah’s cheek. “Ah. Do you think I will kill you?” “Yes.” “A man of few words. Hmm.” The dragon completed its circuit and came to stand in front of Noah. “Are you typical of your kind? It is hard to judge when I have only ever seen you from high up. You seem taller than most, and comelier, though you should wash yourself in clean water and scrub with sand. This ‘gar-bage’ tastes revolting.” Noah laughed out loud. “Bring me some water, and I’ll be glad to clean up. Otherwise, your dinner is gonna taste like trash.” “I will not eat you.” The dragon’s eyes narrowed slyly. “Not yet. I might in a while. I will warn you first, however.” “Decent of you,” Noah replied. “What are you going to do until then? Keep licking me?” “Perhaps. Or perhaps not.” The dragon tapped its claws on the rock, looking just like a human trying to make up his mind. “I may make use of you, while you are here. I would like to study you.” Noah frowned at the dragon. “How do you mean?” “I would like to find out more about the humans. I have so many questions. Why do you fight amongst yourselves for what seem, to me, to be foolish reasons? Why do you not work the land for food instead of squabbling over tiny cans of old provender? Why do you not wash as often as you should?” The dragon wrinkled its nose, copying Noah’s earlier expression of revulsion. “Is this right?” “Pretty good, yeah. You’ve got a thing for cleanliness, don’t you?” Noah wriggled. He knew he wasn’t the freshest daisy in the garden. A couple of days in Dob’s holding cell had left him looking -- and smelling -- pretty awful. “That’s all right. Trust me, I don’t like being this dirty either.”

“Then you are unusual among your kind once more.” The dragon hummed low in its throat, the sound almost like a purr. Its tail twitched. “Tell me, why are you here?” Noah explained the situation to the dragon, who, once he’d finished, roared in deep-chested laughter. “You humans continue to entertain me,” it said. “Glad to be of service.” “Service, yes. I will make you a proposal, human. Teach me things I wish to know, and I will spare your life. I will not help your traitor-kind myself, but perhaps I will speak to my brother dragons and see if it would amuse any of them to assist your small kind.” Noah frowned. On the one hand, he didn’t think it would be a good idea for Dob’s crazy plan to work in the slightest. If word got out, then people would lose their heads, chucking the innocent into portals one right after the other. Yet on the other hand… if the dragons could help them, he had no place turning any kind of assistance down. He had no idea what the dragon wanted to learn from him, of course, but how hard could this be? “Agreed,” he said slowly. “My word is my bond.” “My word is my bond,” the dragon parroted. “Human, there is one thing I desire to know above all others, and you please me enough for this lesson.” The dragon put its face close to Noah’s and lifted its forepaw to rest on Noah’s thigh close to his groin. “I wish to know about your mating habits.” Noah guffawed. He couldn’t help it. The dragon rumbled along with him. “I think you are thinking I am mad,” it said, sounding as if it was teasing. “Why would a dragon care?” “No, no, that’s not it.” Noah wiped his eyes, which had teared up from his laughter. “I just had a weird mental image, that’s all. Like a picture in my thoughts,” he explained before the dragon could ask. “Tell me of this ‘mental image’,” the dragon commanded, curious. “I thought you wanted a hands-on demonstration,” Noah said with a grin. “That wouldn’t work at all. Our bodies wouldn’t fit together, and I’m not into bestiality.”

- 14 -
“Bestial. Beast. Ah!” The dragon brightened. “You are saying that a human and one of my kind could not mate.” “Well, no. I doubt our bodies would be compatible.” Noah fidgeted, getting uncomfortable. The dragon hadn’t said it didn’t want hands-on. “Are you --” “If one of my kind and one of your kind cannot mate, then I will become something more suitable.” The dragon backed up, wings rustling and settling on its back. “As I changed the color of my eyes, so I can change my shape. Let me see, here.” “Hey, hey, hang on just a damn minute. I --” The dragon sneezed. Noah covered his eyes with his arm out of reflex, thinking about fireballs. When he didn’t get blasted with flames, he cautiously peeked at the dragon. His jaw dropped. Where the huge lizard had crouched mere seconds before, he now saw a slim, compactly muscled man, completely naked, his eyes wide and purple in his tri-cornered, almost elfin face. The dragon stretched his new arms and legs and yawned. He leaned back to prop himself on his elbows. “There. Now you will teach me how humans mate.”
Chapter Three “What are you waiting for?” the dragon demanded impatiently as Noah gaped at him. He jiggled his bare foot and rolled his eyes. “Is staring at me part of the mating rituals?” “Sometimes,” Noah said, still shocked. “Look, I’m not a prude or anything, but humans don’t just do this.” “Do what?” “Strip naked and say ‘let’s fuck’ without any warning, for one thing.” “Really?” The dragon frowned. “Why not? It is simple and to the point. Do humans have so much time to waste when they are in heat? Ah!” He raised himself to balance on his hands. “Perhaps you are not in heat.” “Er, no. I’m male.” The dragon nodded. Noah bristled. “What, you weren’t sure?” The dragon seemed to think for a moment, then copied Noah’s earlier shrug. “Does this offend you? Or do males not mate with other males? Is it not your preference?” Noah’s cheeks warmed, and he looked down. “No, I like men.” “Then why do we delay? My patience wears thin.” The dragon stretched his long, naked leg until he could prod Noah with his toes. “Either begin or explain or I will eat you.” Noah’s warming blood chilled. The dragon meant it, and Noah knew he meant it. He rubbed his hand over his face, thinking fast. After sorting through several ideas, he came to the same conclusion every time. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d had sex with a near-stranger, after all. And if he was going to be totally honest with himself, if he’d met this dragon in his human form

back in the real world, he’d have wanted to jump the guy’s bones within five seconds of saying “hi.” He was exactly Noah’s type, long and lean with a piquant face, amazing eyes -- the purple looked much better on him now -- and hung like a, well, “horse” didn’t really apply, did it? Pretty damn impressively endowed, anyway. Noah swallowed down a lump of apprehension. “Have you come to a decision?” the dragon inquired icily. “I am not inclined to waste any more time.” “Thanks for giving me what time you did. I mean that.” The dragon blinked at him. “You do mean it. Interesting.” “I’m ten different kinds of fascinating,” Noah agreed. “I’m going to stand up now, okay? And no, that isn’t part of mating. I need some water and a cloth. Trust me, you don’t want to mate with someone this badly in need of a shower.” The dragon snorted. “No, I do not. Shower? Is that not a word for ‘rain?’ Is this like standing in the rain to wash yourself?” “Pretty much.” “Then you will have water,” the dragon agreed, too amiable. Thunder rolled through the cavern, making Noah flinch -- and then water gushed down in a torrent, warm as a summer storm, soaking him through in less time than it took to realize the dragon had summoned rain. He was gasping and choking, half on swallowed water and half with amazed laughter, when the rain shower abruptly stopped. “Whoa,” he said, shaking his hair and spattering the dragon with fat, heavy drops. “That’ll wake you up in the morning. At least it wasn’t cold.” “Humans have thin blood. Also, your body warmed when you looked at me and made your decision. I concluded that temperature rises when humans are aroused. Correct?” “Head of the class. Which means yeah, you’re right.” Noah tucked wet hair behind his ears and regarded the dragon. “Honestly, I have no idea what to make of you. You’re not at all like I expected.”

“Ah. Yes.” The dragon’s mouth turned down at the corners. “You expected a monster, did you not? Do not lie to me.” “I didn’t know you wouldn’t --” “Yes, you did. You saw a beast and thought it only wanted to devour you.” “Well --” “Tell me this, human: did you never stop to think that a dragon might be lonely?” Noah reached for the dragon as easily as he’d reach for one of his soldiers when they needed reassurance, not stopping to remember what this dragon was. “No. I didn’t. And my name’s Noah.” The dragon tilted his head. “Thank you for your name. I am called Zacharei, or that is as close to it as I can come in human speech.” “Zacharei.” Noah tried out the sound of it and the way it felt on his tongue. “Zacharei. I like that. It suits you.” Zacharei perked up. “You are pleased? Good!” He fluidly shifted position, coming up on his knees. “Let us begin now, if there is nothing else that needs to be done now that you are clean.” Noah regarded the dragon, his funny bone tickled, and his heart grew tender. “You know, I’ve never made love to a virgin before.” “‘Made love’?” “Had sex with. Fucked. Er, ‘mated’.” Noah shivered, the chilliness of the cave air starting to affect him after the warmth of the water wore off. “We can begin, yeah.” “You do not smell aroused.” The dragon looked like he wanted to pout. “Well, no.” “Why? Do you not find me attractive?” “It’s not that.” Noah licked his lower lip, letting himself drink in the sight of the dragon. The more he looked at Zacharei, the more the dragon appealed to him. He was old-fashioned enough that back on Earth he’d have wanted to at least have a drink with Zacharei first, but damned if they’d have gotten through a whole night without falling

into bed. “You’re very arousing.” How to explain this? “I don’t want to treat you like you’re stupid, okay? Don’t take any of this the wrong way.” The dragon nodded, paying solemn attention. “The student does not mock the teacher.” “Okay. Wow. Good.” Noah chuckled, nervous now. “Here’s the thing. You don’t know much about how the human body works, just how to take the shape. Right?” “Right.” The dragon peered between his own legs, assessing his seriously impressive cock, which Noah saw now was slowly hardening. “I think the mechanics may be much the same,” he said. “I look at you, I smell you, I listen to you, and a fire burns in my belly. I wish to taste you again, not as a dragon, but as a man. Tell me, Noah. Answer a question for me. I have seen humans press their mouths together. They seem to enjoy this very much. May I put my mouth to yours?” Hoo boy, yes. “It’s called ‘kissing’,” Noah said. “And, yeah. Yes. Please. That’s a good way to start.” “To start?” The dragon brightened, standing. “Ah, to start mating. Mmm, you smell better now. Excited.” He undulated when he walked, bridging the distance between them and cozying up to Noah until they were nearly nose to nose and, more importantly, his now fully engorged cock bumped into Noah’s belly, the head slickly sticky against Noah’s skin. Noah sucked in a breath, amazed at the sudden punch of desire he had for the dragon. “Let me show you how it’s done,” he said suddenly, taking the dragon’s face in his palms. He pressed his lips to the dragon’s and tickled them with his tongue. “Now,” he said between kisses. “Now I’m tasting you. What do you think about that?”
Chapter Four The dragon’s lips parted beneath Noah’s, catching his tongue and sucking it in. He made a face. “You taste odd.” Noah snorted. “Sorry. I left my breath mints in another world.” The dragon chortled. “Mints. Ah, yes. Chewing mint to freshen the mouth. Here.” Much the same as how he’d summoned the rain earlier, Noah supposed, he somehow had a peppermint-tasting candy in his mouth, which he transferred to Noah’s tongue. Noah rolled the candy around, moaning at the pleasure of the taste, then tucked it into his cheek where it dissolved right away, flooding his mouth with the flavor. “Mmm,” the dragon crooned, winding his arms around Noah’s neck and pulling his head down. “Now you have a good taste.” “You’re not too bad yourself.” Noah enjoyed the dragon’s kiss, fascinated by the small differences, then by the careful consideration the dragon gave to each press of his lips and curl of his tongue, and then forgot to do anything else but drown in the dragon’s mouth. He pulled the dragon tightly to him, palms flat and fingers spread wide over the smooth, pale skin of the dragon’s back. The dragon gasped into his lips, opening wider. Noah followed up right away, unable to get enough of the dragon’s hot mouth. Grief! Maybe the dragon had forgotten to change this part of him, but as things stood, his tongue was still slightly raspy. Not rough enough to hurt, but enough to make Noah wonder what it would feel like to have that tongue licking his cock. He groaned, fisting his hand in the soft, dark hair the dragon had chosen for himself and forcing it back, pushing in tighter still to devour the dragon’s mouth.

“A moment,” the dragon said, shaking his head until Noah released him momentarily from the kiss. He looked stunned, drugged, drunk, dazed. His glorious purple eyes were unfocused. “I did not expect… is it always like this?” Noah knew what he meant, but that didn’t stop him from wanting to tease just a little. “Like what?” he asked, running his thumb over the dragon’s sharp cheekbone. The dragon shivered and turned his head slightly to nip at Noah’s thumb. “Like fire,” he said. “It burns me from the inside out. So much hotter than I had thought it might.” “That means I’m doing it right.”
“Oh.” The dragon blinked. “Am I?”
“God, yes. Here.” Noah wasn’t sure if he’d be able to stand this without going off
like a randy teenager, but he ached with a sharp, fierce need to have the dragon’s hand on his cock. He seized the dragon by his wrist and brought his fingers down to where they were needed, molding them over his groin and showing him how to knead. He hissed and breathed in deeply at the warmth and hardness of the dragon’s grip, at the amazement quickly changing to heated understanding on the dragon’s face, and then because if he didn’t get naked soon he’d come in the ruins of his jeans. “Stop. Wait a moment.” The dragon whined, sounding like an annoyed cat. “Why?”
“Because it can be better.” Noah stole a kiss, hot and biting and quick. He
lingered by the dragon’s mouth, tugging at his lips. “Naked is always better.” The dragon’s low chuckle smoldered. “Yes. Naked. I want to see you.” Inspiration struck. Noah kissed the dragon once more, then took three steps backward and spread his arms. “Undress me, then. That’s the way it should be done.” “It should?” The dragon didn’t appear to mind this order at all, already stepping up. “Oh, yeah. I would have loved to strip you naked, except you came that way.” “Do you want me to summon clothes so you can have the pleasure?” Noah laughed. “Hell, no. Maybe later.”

“Yes. Later. There will be a later,” the dragon asserted, purring. “Many laters.” “Many more times,” Noah corrected, guiding the dragon to the frayed waist of his jeans. “There’s a button here. Pop it open. A zipper. Pull that down.” “I am not so ignorant as not to be able to figure this out,” the dragon said irritably. He softened his sniping with a bite to Noah’s chin, then licked a stripe down from the tender spot beneath Noah’s ear all the way to his collarbone. Noah shuddered. Grief, the dragon’s tongue felt even more amazing than he’d imagined it might. “If you want to find out more about what I taste like, there’s something else you could lick,” he suggested. The dragon crooned smugly. “This?” he teased, nimbly opening Noah’s jeans and drawing out Noah’s cock. He squeezed the shaft, pumped it experimentally, and ran his fingertip around the swollen head. Noah gritted his teeth and tried to count from one hundred backwards, giving up at ninety-eight and hauling the dragon to him for more of his hot, raspy kisses. “Yeah,” he said hoarsely when he drew away for air. “Lick me there. Suck my cock.” “This is not romantic,” the dragon informed him, smirking when Noah gaped at him, then howled with laughter. “Sex should be fun,” he said, decided. “I like how mating with you is fun. Do you want me to suck your cock now or later?” “You’ve got a lot left to learn about humans if you even have to ask that. Get down on your knees and suck me until I come. And that means now.” “Mmm. I want to taste you.” “Go right ahead. Please.” The dragon purred. “Please. I like this sound. It is flavored with desperation. No, that is not right. It tastes of neediness. As if you want my lips on your -- cock? -- so much that you think you will burst without them.” “Yes. Please.” Noah didn’t care about pride, not anymore. “Suck me.” “And what will you give me in return?” the dragon inquired, sly now. The purple of his eyes deepened to indigo. “It should be a fair trade.”

“How about I fuck you until you know what mating with a human is all about?” This wasn’t fair, but Noah didn’t at all feel like playing fair. He found the twin globes of the dragon’s bare ass and squeezed them, running his fingers over the line of demarcation hiding where he now thought he might die if he didn’t get to be, and soon. “I can make it good for you,” he breathed into the dragon’s ear, loving the way Zacharei moaned and sagged against him. “So good. You don’t even know. It might be better than flying.” “Noth… nothing is better than… than flying,” the dragon protested. He rocked his groin against Noah’s, hissing when their engorged cocks bumped and dragged one against the other. “Yes. Fuck me. Mate with me.” “Uh-uh-uh. Suck me first. I’ll tell you when to stop. And then I’ll fuck you. Fuck you so hard. Rough and fast, then lazy and slow until you’re begging me for a pounding. And then I’ll do it again. And again.” Noah thought he might have lost his mind -- seriously, the so-called virgin sacrifice teaching his dragon how to rut? -- and he couldn’t have cared less. He wanted this dragon -- his dragon -- almost more than he wanted air and water. “Yes.” The dragon struggled free of Noah’s punishing hold, his pupils blown and his skin flushed. “How do I do this?” “On your knees,” Noah directed, guiding the dragon down. “Wait, wait. Jeans off first. Help me.” “Clothes are annoying,” the dragon grumbled as he helped wrestle the wet denim off Noah’s long legs, making a face when Noah stumbled trying to pull them off his feet. “Now.” Noah just barely managed to spread his legs and plant his feet firmly on the cave floor before the dragon’s hot, wet mouth surrounded his cockhead and his lips formed a tight seal. The dragon hollowed out his cheeks and sucked, just as he’d been told to, wrapping his right fist around the base of Noah’s cock without needing instructions, and curled the fingers of his left hand around his own cock, jacking it harshly.

“Grief,” Noah panted, tugging at the dragon’s hair. “Don’t stop until I tell you -oh, God -- don’t stop until I tell you to.” Which might not be long, he thought grimly, hanging on for what seemed like dear life. He could die happy with his cock encased in the heat of the dragon’s mouth, the slightly rough tongue licking him enthusiastically and the dragon’s cheeks drawn in around his length. Many more “laters,” he said? Oh, yes. Hell, yes, even if I never make it back home again. Some things are worth sacrificing for.
Chapter Five When the dragon, Zacharei, realized he had more to play with on Noah’s body than just his cock, Noah knew he couldn’t hold out much longer. The dragon’s lips and tongue were too good, too much, and it’d been a long, long time since he’d enjoyed a blow job half this much. Besides, he wanted to make this the best he could for the dragon. He wanted to make good on what he’d sworn when he was breathing filthy promises to the violeteyed creature, making the dragon go nuts until he begged for Noah’s cock. Noah gasped, dizzied by a rush of lust, his self-control helped not at all when the dragon released his own cock with a whine and sent questing fingers around Noah’s hip, searching for and finding the crack of Noah’s ass and pushing within. “Stop,” Noah barked, cursing. He pushed at the dragon’s head. “Stop now.” The dragon’s lips stopped working on Noah’s cock. He drew off slowly, blinking up at Noah as if confused. “You did not like this?” Wickedly, he licked the tip of Noah’s cock and hummed. “Your taste pleases me. Salty, rich, full of life.” Noah would have laughed if he had been able to. His dragon was like no one else he’d ever known, and quite right, too. “Did you like having my cock in your mouth?” “Very much.” The dragon licked him again, drawing circles around Noah’s cockhead with the flat of his tongue. “You are delicious. More than that, I liked the weight of you. And when you pushed. I might have choked, but I wanted more, oh yes.” “Yeah?” Noah thrilled, suffused with lusty pride. He grasped the base of his cock and let the shaft rest in his palm, guiding it to the dragon’s mouth and painting his lips

with pre-come. The dragon moaned, opening his mouth like a baby bird asking for more. “Do not tease me,” the dragon snapped after a few moments of teasing, Noah drawing back playfully every time the dragon tried to take him in. “What is this game?” “No game.” “A trick, then.” “No trick.” Noah squeezed the base of his cock. “If you liked it in your mouth, then you’re gonna love having it in your ass.” The dragon produced a warbling trill, shaking his head eagerly. “Yes. Yes. Mating with me, two bodies becoming one, correct?” “So very correct.” Noah was drunk with excitement. “Can you summon anything? I mean, anything at all?” The dragon nodded. “Summon some oil. Good slick oil to help me get you ready.” Just as with the rain and the mint, Noah didn’t see the magic happening, but when he put out his hand the dragon pressed a cool stoneware flask into his palm. Noah thumbed out the cork and sniffed, well pleased. “Fuck me,” the dragon begged. “Mate with me. Now. Please.” This had to be the craziest thing anyone had ever dreamed of doing, much less carried through with. Still, as sexy as this dragon was, offering up his ass, there was no way Noah could bear to turn him down. Noah glanced around the cave, not seeing anything soft enough to lie on. “Summon a soft rug for yourself.” “Why?” the dragon asked, doing as he was told all the same, a thick braided rug appearing between one blink and the next. “You’ll see. Hands and knees, on the rug. Legs wide open. Brace your arms.” “Ohh.” The dragon glowed with sultry comprehension. “Yes. You will take me from behind. I understand.” He slithered around, fluid and graceful as a cat or a snake, and kneeled, presenting Noah with his taut, firm ass. That sight alone would have

knocked Noah for a loop. When the dragon spread his legs almost impossibly wide and exposed his hole between his ass cheeks, Noah’s knees nearly gave out. “Hold still,” he barked, falling hastily to his knees behind the dragon. His hands shook as he tried to pour oil onto his fingers. Ah, he couldn’t resist. Bending forward, Noah licked his way up the dragon’s ass and circled the dragon’s tightly puckered opening, thrusting his tongue inside. The dragon roared, sounding more like his beast form than any human. He stared over his shoulder at Noah. “What are you…?” “Shh, you’ll like this,” Noah drew off long enough to say. He returned as soon as the words were out, getting down to business and enjoying his own tasting process. The noises the dragon made with each push of Noah’s tongue and gentle nibble of teeth set fire to Noah’s nerves, reducing him quickly into a great big pulsing package of frantic lust. The dragon was moaning, his head thrashing to and fro, the weight of his cock hanging heavy and stiffly dark between his legs. He couldn’t seem to balance well enough to grasp his erection for the friction and pressure Noah knew he’d be in desperate need of, and his frantic whines pushed Noah harder toward the edge. “Do something about this,” the dragon begged. “I need… I need…” “What do you need?” Noah asked hoarsely, despite knowing if he didn’t get inside the dragon as fast as he possibly could, he’d lose his mind. He had to hear it in the dragon’s own voice. “Tell me what you need, and I’ll give it to you.” The dragon roared again. “Your cock in me. I need your cock in my ass.” Noah had to close his eyes and ride the rush. “Yeah,” he said, grasping the dragon’s hips. “Oil. And then inside you. Okay?” “Hurry.” “As fast as I can.” Noah upended the flask -- there had to be more where that came from -- over the small of the dragon’s back, hooting with laughter at his surprised squawk and flinch, loving even more the way the dragon moaned and wailed when he

worked the oil in, scissoring his fingers wide. He wasn’t a small man and he didn’t want to hurt the dragon. Ah, he wondered how the dragon would like this? With two fingers inside the dragon’s ass, buried up to the last knuckle, Noah crooked them, searching for -The dragon’s bellow hurt his ears. Oh yeah, he’d found it. Noah massaged the spongy lump inside the dragon, showing him no mercy. “Beg me for my cock,” he gasped, so high on the power trip he never, ever wanted to come down. “Beg me sweetly for me to fuck you.” “I will change shape and bite your head off your neck if you do not fuck me now.” Noah howled with mirth. “Good enough for me.” He withdrew his fingers and knelt up more appropriately, finding his position and then aligning his cock with the dragon’s stretched, empty opening. “You take my breath away,” he whispered, starting the first slow push in. The dragon keened, head thrashing. “More. More!” Noah swore, all his humor forgotten as the head of his cock popped through the ring of muscle and was encased in the tight heat of the dragon’s ass. Yeah, more would be a good idea. More, right now. “Don’t -- don’t want to hurt you,” he panted, fighting for control. “You won’t. More.” The dragon rocked backwards, taking Noah by surprise. He couldn’t control the need to drive in at the same time, and slid fully home in one brutally hard thrust. Loud curses in a language he didn’t know made Noah’s ears ring until the dragon adjusted to this. “Yes. Now. Move,” the dragon commanded, and Noah was more than happy to do as he’d been told. Finding a balance that worked, he held the dragon’s ass firmly in place and fucked him hard and fast. Lazy and slow would have to wait until he’d taken the edge off, which might be never, as hot as the dragon made him. He lost his head as he drove deep in the dragon’s ass time and time again, eating up the dragon’s growls and grunts and howls, his vision going blurry.

He remembered, almost too late, that a reach around was good manners. No sooner did he get a good grip on the dragon’s cock than the dragon loosed a deafening, ululating wail and spasmed in his hand, spraying his fingers with thick, sticky ropes of come. His ass clenched and contracted, the rippling pressure too much at last for Noah. Noah dragged his nails down the dragon’s hips, leaving red welts in his wake as he came, emptying the heavy, aching weight in his balls deep in the dragon’s ass. When he didn’t have any more to give -- and it seemed to take forever, the punching jerks of orgasm rolling one into the other until he thought he’d never come again -- he fell forward on the dragon’s back, cheek to the dragon’s spine, sucking in loud breaths of oxygen. The dragon’s head sagged wearily from his shoulders and his chest heaved as did Noah’s, but for all that he chuffed as he did in dragon shape, almost giggling. Noah slapped his hip in play. “What’s so funny, huh?” The dragon wriggled his ass, jostling Noah, who was still buried balls-deep inside him. “I am only thinking about how jealous the other dragons will be when they see my mate,” he said happily. “I am thinking about how much I will love spending eternity with you in the dragon lands.” “What?” The back of Noah’s neck tingled. “Wait a minute. Eternity with you? You never said --” “Ah, that which I said I said before we mated, so it does not count. I know what we have accomplished is a true mating.” The dragon arched his back like a cat, purring like one too. “You caused me to spill my seed. You spilled yours inside me. This is a bond that can never be broken. You are immortal now, like me, because I chose to give you this gift. We will spend forever here, you and I. Dragons, both of us. Now.” He looked back at Noah, fucked-out and satisfied with himself and glowing with affection. “Kiss me, my mate.”
Chapter Six Noah backed away, grasping cautiously at the edges of all the rules he knew to play by and discovering that none of them could be made to apply to finding he’d just, in essence, married a dragon. This was the kind of thing they didn’t teach you about in the army, even today’s ragtag army. “You appear to be alarmed,” the dragon observed, tilting his head. He reminded Noah of a curious bird, not at all concerned about Noah’s dismay. Noah shivered, remembering what he’d forgotten: the dragon might look human enough, but it wasn’t. It wasn’t even from his world and assuming it would think like a human was a surefire way to end up neck-deep in trouble. As he already had. “I am alarmed,” Noah replied slowly, reaching the cavern wall and pressing his back to the dry stone. “Upset.” “Will you cry? I have seen humans weep when they smell of dismay, as you do now.” The dragon sniffed the air delicately. “Or perhaps not quite dismay. I detect a hint of lust and something that has the fragrance of hope.” “Okay. That’s creepy,” Noah tried to joke. Not knowing whether to stand or sit, or what the dragon would interpret as neutral body language, he compromised by propping himself against the wall with his legs crossed at the ankle and his arms crossed loosely over his chest. “Stop… smelling me.” “Why?” The dragon surged up as gracefully as a dancer and stepped lightly toward Noah. His hips swayed, not at all womanish when Noah took into consideration the dragon’s renewed erection that curved up to leave a wet patch on his lower stomach.

Noah blinked. “Why what?” “Why should I stop enjoying your scent?” The dragon frowned. “How else will I be able to know what you are thinking, what you are feeling? I can taste your passion for me on the back of my tongue, and it is good.” “Yeah, but…” He tried to find the right words to explain. “People don’t do that. Humans like me, we don’t go around sniffing each other.” “You do not?” “Okay, sometimes we do,” Noah admitted. “Not… not the way you do. It’s different.” The dragon chewed that one over, sucking his lower lip between his sharp white teeth. He brightened. “Ah! I understand now. Your breed does not have the same sense of smell, and so what is foreign to you frightens you.” “In a nutshell.” “Then we have no problem at all.” The dragon beamed. “When the transformation process is complete and you, like I, are a full dragon, you will be able to see and taste the aromas that surround us, and you will learn to love them. Now, kiss me.” The dragon tilted his face up, questing for a kiss. Part of Noah burned to forget all his cares and press his mouth to the dragon’s, thrusting his tongue inside until taking the dragon again was all he could think about. The other part of Noah insisted on finding out just what the hell was going on here. Noah pushed the dragon back as gently as he could. “Wait. Tell me what you’re talking about. Transformation?” The short hairs lifted on the back of his neck as the word sank in. “Oh, God. Fucking you changed me, didn’t it?” “It was good for me, too.” The dragon trilled a high, birdlike noise. “Yes. As I told you before, your essence inside me and mine on your hand were enough to bind us together, a link that cannot ever be broken. You will become a dragon and you will bide here with me. Kiss me before I lose my patience.” He gazed up at Noah, so beautiful with his soft dark hair and his wide violet eyes that Noah ached to give the dragon

exactly what he asked for, to stay in the dragon lands forever and never, never worry about the mess he’d left behind on Earth. He knew, though, he couldn’t do that. Men like Dob were only the beginning of what was wrong with their world. The humans still populating Earth needed warriors, guardians, and leaders. He couldn’t turn his back on them. “Zacharei, wait.” He took the dragon by his upper arms and held him still. The dragon pouted at him, kiss-swollen lips begging for more. Noah couldn’t help chuckling as he pushed hair off the dragon’s forehead and out of his eyes. “I can’t,” he said. “Try to understand. I’m needed back there.” “Hmmph. What if I had eaten you, as humans think dragons do?” the dragon demanded. “What if I had chosen to keep you prisoner here for the sake of my amusement? You would still be gone, unable to return. You first spoke to me with a full acceptance of this. Why is it different now?” “On the surface, it’s not.” Noah bit the inside of his cheek, thinking. “It feels like I have a choice now, and no matter how much I want to stay, I can’t betray the people who need me.” “Perhaps I should take your choice away.” “If that’s what it’s going to take, then maybe you should.” The dragon’s eyes flashed darker with anger. “I do not understand you,” he said, sounding disgusted. “We are mates. It was the best sex I have ever had. That is why we are now mates. It is not merely the biological. It is here,” he said, resting his hand over Noah’s heart. “As I think the humans say. I am bound to you here.” Noah felt about two inches tall. “Don’t do this to me.” The dragon never blinked, though his pupils elongated to cat-like diamonds. “If you did not have your ruined world to demand your attention, would you stay?” “You mean, if I could stay, would I?” “Yes. And please remember that I will smell a lie.”

“I won’t try to tell one, then. Yeah. I’d stay.” Noah couldn’t resist touching the dragon, smoothing down his hair, trailing his fingers over the dragon’s pert face. When he reached the dragon’s mouth, Zacharei sucked Noah’s forefinger between his lips and nibbled. His eyelids drooped over his ovoid pupils. “Stay with me,” the dragon coaxed. “I can see how much you wish to remain, never mind what your scent tells me. Stay.” Noah thought his heart might just be breaking. “I can’t.” The dragon’s face tightened, narrowing into a scowl. “Cannot, cannot, bah! Do you not understand that if you leave, you will perish?” Noah’s temper sparked. “What? I won’t stay here and be your personal fuck-toy, so you’ll kill me? Fly me down and rip me open? Is that it?” “What? No.” The dragon looked horrified. “Nothing of the sort. How do you not know these things? Why do they not fill your mind now that you have begun to change into a dragon?” “Don’t know. Maybe it didn’t take.” Noah considered that. “I don’t feel physically different.” The dragon clicked his tongue, sounding like the rattles of a snake. “It is not a painful transformation. When it is done, you will want to fly, and you will be able to. Or so I am told.” Wait, wait, wait. “Or so you are told?” Noah parroted. An awful suspicion sank its claws deep. “Hang on. You’ve never done this before, have you?” “Of course I have not,” the dragon snapped. “One mate to one dragon. We are monogamous and we pair for all of our immortal lives. I am young for one of my kind.” He fingered his cheeks, which had gone dull red. “My face is hot. What does this mean?” “Means you’re not telling me the whole truth, I suspect.” Noah released the dragon, too worked up to keep his hands still. He gestured with them as he spoke, underlining his words. “It’s not just that you’ve never mated before. I think you’ve

never seen any dragons mating before, and you don’t have a practical clue as to what you’re doing. Am I right?” The dragon’s blush deepened. He looked away. Noah nodded. “Perfect. Yeah, that’s perfect. Great.” “You are angry now.” “No kidding, I’m angry. What if this is going to kill me, not change me?” “It will not. I have never heard of such nonsense.” “Is it nonsense? How can you know? Storytellers hardly ever tell the truth. That’s what makes them storytellers.” Noah swore and turned away from the dragon. “Where’s the portal? I’m getting out of here. Going back home where it might be a hard-knock life, but at least it makes more sense than this.” “No!” The dragon threw himself in front of Noah, arms spread wide to block his path. Noah halted, surprised at the depth of the dragon’s panic. “Please. Do not.” The dragon’s throat worked. “Listen to me. There is an old, old story that until now I had thought only to be a tale meant to frighten children, of a dragon who lost his heart to a mortal woman. While she bided here, she remained young and beautiful for centuries. One day, she decided to go visit the world she came from. The moment she stepped out of the portal, she became as a dead woman walking, and soon had truly perished.” He cupped Noah’s cheek and drew his head down, earnestly kissing Noah’s lips. “I could not bear it if this tale was a true one, and if by leaving here you left me in all ways. If you died. So, I will not let you go without a fight. Please, stay.” Noah’s determination wavered under the soft, salty press of the dragon’s lips. “I should kick your ass,” he said, mouth bumping the dragon’s on each word. “I should punch you in the nose.” “Would it make you feel better?” The dragon twined his arms around Noah’s neck, trailing kisses over his cheekbone and down his neck. Noah tilted his head back, lips parting. His head began to spin and his groin ached as his cock filled, straining toward the dragon. “No,” he said. “You did what came naturally to you. I get that. I only wish you’d said something first.”

The dragon stilled with his lips on Noah’s throat. “Yes. I should have. I did not think, I wanted you so. Dragons do not apologize, but if I could, I would offer you my regrets. And yet I would not, for that would be a lie. I am not sorry that you are my mate. I will never be sorry for mating with you.” “Ah, Zacharei.” Noah’s heart pained him. He moistened his lips, squared his shoulders and let himself accept that the way things had come to pass were the way things would have to be. No changing them and no going back. Besides, he thought, why cry over spilled milk? This dragon’s a gorgeous little handful and maybe I can still make a difference with his help. “Will you kiss me now?” the dragon demanded, oddly shy and imperious at the same time. Noah could no more resist him than he could have stopped breathing. He looped his arms around the dragon’s waist and crushed their bodies together, mouth already sealed hungrily over Zacharei’s and his tongue thrust between the dragon’s lips. “You taste amazing,” he said between kisses, licking the roof of Zacharei’s mouth, running his tongue along the dragon’s white teeth and searching for more of his unique flavor. He wondered if the changes were starting. His sense of taste had improved, he was sure of it. Experimentally, he sniffed the dragon’s soft hair and was at first puzzled by the aroma rising off him. Then, when Zacharei moaned and canted his hips to meet Noah’s, Noah realized that what he smelled was lust. The knowledge hit him hard, arrowing to his throbbing cock and demanding that he do something about it right now. He squeezed Zacharei’s tight ass cheeks, kneading them, and shifted position so he could mouth over the pulse beating visibly in the dragon’s throat. “My God,” he choked out. “Is this what it’s like for you all the time?” “You smell it now. Ahhh…” Zacharei’s head lolled on his neck. He seized Noah’s hair and threaded his fingers through the strands, tugging. “Yes. It is like this always.”

“How do you stand it?” Noah found Zacharei’s earlobe and bit down, worrying the soft tab of flesh. “Isn’t it too much?” “Only -- only until a dragon finds his mate, and then it is paradise.” Zacharei, his dragon, gasped. He lifted his leg, draping it nimbly around Noah’s hip and hooking his foot around Noah’s ass. “Again. You will mate with me again now.” Noah chuckled. “God help us. Say it the way I like it.” “I do not understand.” “Yes, you do.” Noah shook the dragon -- his dragon -- lightly, letting him know who was in charge here. The power threatened to go to his head, especially when the dragon moaned and thrust against him in search for friction. His kisses and his hands had made the dragon that hard and that desperate. Knowing it made Noah almost dizzy. “Say what I want to hear, and I’ll do it.” The dragon growled. “Fuck me, then. Fuck me hard.” “Oh, I will.” Noah bit the dragon’s chin and licked his way up into the dragon’s mouth for the fun of hearing him cry out and seeing him writhe. “I’ll fuck you so hard you’ll feel it for weeks.” “Is that a threat?” “No. It’s a promise.” Noah found a firm purchase on Zacharei’s hair and used it to tug the dragon’s head back, his throat curving into a hard line the same way as his cock arced toward his belly. He laid his lips over the soft skin under Zacharei’s chin and sucked until he knew he’d leave a mark behind. “Get down on your hands and knees.” The dragon’s eyes, which had slid shut, slitted open. He considered Noah’s request. “No.” “Excuse me?” Noah couldn’t believe his ears. “Too late to turn back now. You claimed me for your mate, and --” “No, I did not.” The dragon shook his head. “It was you who claimed me. I merely let you do so, and offered back what I had to give in return. And I do not wish to be fucked the same way twice in a row.”

“Sure seemed to me as if you liked it,” Noah teased roughly, seizing the dragon by his hips and gyrating with him. He hissed when their cocks slid wetly against one another, breath catching in his chest. “Please tell me you do still want to get fucked, because I can’t stop now.” “Yes, I do. Only different.” The dragon poked him in the sternum. “Think of another way.” An idea sprang immediately to mind. Noah’s heartbeat increased, rushing in his ears. He hadn’t bottomed for anyone in years, generally preferring to top. The dragon didn’t know how. Still, he knew what he wanted. The dragon, bless his heart, figured out right away that Noah had had a brainstorm. “What?” he murmured, dropping his head far enough to lick over and bite at Noah’s nipple. “You have a wonderful thought, this I know, and you will share it with me now.” Noah cleared his throat, summoned up his nerve, and nodded. “How about you fuck me this time?” “What?” The dragon jerked back as if he’d been burned by his own flames, staring almost comically at Noah. “You are serious?” “Well, yeah.” Noah frowned. “Is that a problem? Are you not allowed?” God, he hoped not. He liked pitching more than he liked catching, but when he was in the mood to get pounded, by damn was he ever in the mood and he wanted his dragon’s cock slamming into him. Now. “No.” The dragon continued to stare at him. “I am allowed. I did not think you would like it.” Noah thrust gently against the dragon, prodding him with the rigid length of his cock. “Trust me,” he whispered in the dragon’s ear. “I’d love it.” He blew a stream of warm air across the shell. “I can talk you through this if you want, but if you’re okay with the idea then you’d better get busy. I’ll explode if you don’t get with the plan.”

The dragon laughed, light and loud and silvery-sounding. “We cannot have that,” he said, eyes returning to a brighter shade of gentian and dancing with mirth, yet glowing with lust at the same time. “I would prefer that you do not burst.” Noah grabbed the dragon’s hand and forced it between their straining bodies, molding the dragon’s palm over his cock and then moving it down to his tightly-drawn balls. “Something’s gonna go pop, so you’d better get busy.” “A challenge, I think. Never let it be said that I let a dare go unanswered.” “Oh, is that what you think this is? A dare?” Noah kissed the bridge of the dragon’s nose to make sure the dragon knew he was kidding. “Hmm?” “Dragon dares are very serious indeed, and you are soon to be a full-blooded dragon. It is dishonor not to rise to the call.” “You’re pretty good at rising,” Noah emphasized, rocking his swollen erection and the dragon’s together. “Give me more.” When the dragon hesitated for a beat, he hastened to add, “Like I said, I can walk you through --” The dragon covered Noah’s lips with the tips of his fingers. “Hush. Dragons are neither cowards nor fools. I remember, from what we enjoyed together before, how to do this.” “Then how about you show me?” Noah released the dragon and stepped far enough back to display his rock-solid erection, dark and heavy. “Get this show on the road.” “So many peculiar phrases,” the dragon grumbled, rolling his eyes. “Very well. You may be the one on your hands and knees. I will summon more oil and --” “Wait, wait, wait.” Noah had had a better idea. “There’s another way.” The dragon raised an eyebrow. “Toys?” “How do you know about -- no, no, never mind.” He’d save that conversation for later. “Not toys. I meant, another position.” “Oh?” The dragon looked quizzical. “Not from behind, then? Show me.” No longer nervous at all, instead on fire from the inside out with sizzling need for the dragon’s cock inside him, Noah lowered himself as lithely as he could to the

cave floor. He laughed when his back and shoulders came to rest on another thick braided rug. “I love the way you do that,” he admired as he bent his knees and planted his feet firmly on the cave floor. “Like this.” “How?” The dragon looked genuinely perplexed. “Like a man and a woman,” Noah explained, hoping he wouldn’t have to go into those details. Thank mercy, he didn’t. The dragon brightened, albeit speaking with a curious lilt. “How is such a position possible?” “Use your imagination. Or let me show you how it’s done. They call this ‘topping from the bottom,’ in case you’re curious.” The dragon chortled. “All right. Instruct me, then.” He loosely fisted his own cock and began stroking, encouraging his cock to full, straining hardness. Noah’s mouth went dry and his balls twinged sharply at the sight. Being mated to this dragon no longer seemed in the slightest bit alarming. In fact, he was beginning to think he’d died after all and gone straight to heaven. He’d have this, and enjoy his dragon, for the rest of the universe’s time. “Get between my legs,” he said hoarsely. “On your knees. Can you get a pillow? Yeah, that’ll do,” he said, approving of the thickly padded crimson square the dragon snatched from thin air and offered him. He raised his hips and began to push the pillow beneath them. His dragon grasped the concept quickly and helped wedge the padded square into place. The dragon paused, gazing at Noah’s parted legs and open ass with such fire and desire that Noah had to grab the base of his cock and squeeze so as not to come right then and there. A noble gesture on his part, he thought, which the dragon almost rendered moot when, after a slow moistening of his lips, the dragon descended on Noah and sucked his cock between his gorgeous red lips. Noah had to swear and pound on the dragon’s shoulders before the dragon would let go. His dragon sat back on his heels, grinning wickedly. He had a smear of

pre-come on the corner of his mouth, which he lazily licked away. “You are so very beautiful,” the dragon told him sincerely. “My mate.” “Yours,” Noah agreed. The muscles in his ass clenched. “You remember how I prepared you? Yes? Good. Do the same with me. Fuck, yeah, like that, just like that --” He clung to the dragon’s shoulders, showing him how to brace his weight on one arm and lean over the length of his lover, trading come-flavored kisses back and forth while fingering a man open. The dragon, clever, wicked dragon, figured out quickly how to make this last, teasing and tormenting Noah by going far, far too slowly. The dragon stopped toying with Noah only when Noah twisted his ear and threatened him with the kind of danger any male of any species dreaded. “You would never,” the dragon gloated, reaching for a new flask of oil. “I think you like that part of me far too much for any such foolishness.” “Don’t get smug about it.” “I will if I like.” The dragon groaned as he drizzled oil over his cock and whimpered when he slicked it over the length. He paused for a fierce squeeze, the head of his cock the only part visible outside his fist, dark purple and glossy with pre-come. “Now? I may do this now?” “Hell, yes. I wish you would. Here, let me --” Noah raised one shaky leg and managed to hook his knee over the dragon’s shoulder. The dragon, clever dragon, got the idea and lifted Noah’s other leg, wriggling until they were both situated just right. Closing his eyes and sinking his teeth into his lower lip, the dragon aligned his cock with Noah’s hole and pushed, slowly at first, then insistently. Both bit off curses when the head popped in. Noah gritted his teeth. It had been longer than he’d thought, maybe, and the dragon wasn’t small. “Wait,” he begged, digging his heels into the dragon’s back. “Give me a minute.” The dragon had gone stiff with alarm. “Does this hurt you?”

“It won’t last.” Noah focused on his breathing, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly, ordering his body to relax. As soon as the stinging burn faded, he released all the tension he could and nodded. “Move. Go. Move.” “What do you say?” the dragon asked archly. Noah hooted. “Fuck me.” “That is what I wanted to hear.” The dragon surged into Noah, not stopping until he was fully seated balls-deep, and could lean over Noah to kiss him as if he were starving and Noah was a banquet. Noah happily surrendered himself to the dragon’s mouth and the rasp of the dragon’s tongue twining around his own, moaning into the kisses. He flexed his calves, toes curling, arching his hips to meet each of the dragon’s erratic thrusts of cock in ass. His orgasm approached out of the blue with a power that warned Noah it wouldn’t be denied. “Dragon -- Zacharei -- gonna --” “Yes,” the dragon hissed, losing his choppy rhythm for the sake of fucking deeply and fiercely. “Do. For me. I wish to feel your body squeeze me when you come.” Noah roared, his shoulders rising from and clearing the soft rug, head grinding painfully against the rock floor of the cave. Hot come striped his belly clear up to his nipples, scalding his skin. He drummed his heels on the dragon’s back, helpless to stop them from kicking or to cease the pulsating spasms in his ass. The dragon choked, swore, and came, fiery spunk painting Noah’s insides. They came down together, slowly, slumped one against the other. Noah opened his eyes, seeing colors he’d never known existed, smelling things he’d never dreamed of, and tasting the dragon’s -- his mate’s -- true love for him on the tip of his tongue. “So,” he said at last, when the dragon had drawn out of him with a moan of regret and laid his head to rest on Noah’s chest. He petted the dragon’s hair. “So this really is forever, you and me?” “It is forever,” the dragon replied, yawning. “Are you angry still?” “No. How could I be?” Noah jostled the dragon. “Forever you and I,” he repeated, thoughtful. It sounded good to him. “I want to know one thing, though.”

“Speak any question you like,” the dragon murmured sleepily, “and then let me rest. I am tired.” “Is there any way we can help my people? That you could help, or maybe your brother dragons?” His dragon was quiet for so long Noah began to wonder if he’d fallen asleep. However, after a few minutes, the dragon hummed thoughtfully and nodded, his chin bumping Noah’s third rib. “I think so,” he said. “Perhaps. I will not leave you here, but there are many of my brothers who enjoy flying through Earth’s skies. I can see if they will go with an eye to more than pleasure flights. However…” He drew a pattern on Noah’s sweat-warm skin. “You must understand that they, too, are mostly unmated. They may find humans to claim them. If this happens, you must not be angry.” Noah weighed the argument, deciding almost right away that he couldn’t make a fuss about it. As long as -- “It has to be their choice. The humans’ choice, I mean. No one takes by force.” “They will not, that I swear.” His dragon bit his nipple, soothing away the sting with the soft rasp of his tongue. “Sleep now, Noah. Sleep, and when we wake I will change forms and take you flying. And then, we will be together forever. Correct?” “Yeah,” said Noah, holding his dragon close and marveling at his luck. “Correct, dragon mine. Correct.”
