Praise for the writing of Lucynda Storey Heart wrenching, yet beautiful, Refugee by Lucynda Storey is Book 2 of the Irresistible series. A continuation of Simply Irresistible, it covers the rebirth of a submissive as she struggles with her destroyed life….The sex is tender, hot and beautiful. The plot merges well with the previous story, but it is also able to stand alone. There is discussion of some evil acts done (before Amanda is rescued from Victor) but the story involves more of the emotional side of BDSM. This is a sweet relationship with tantalizing scenes that had me smelling the roses. Ms. Storey has another winner with Refugee. 5 stars/H, Julie Esparza, Just Erotic Romance Reviews Blind Devotion: Ms. Lucynda Storey has written an exciting story with all the romance, danger, and suspense you could ask for. I admired Azari for her hardheaded determination to stand by her man against impossible odds. Tor’s inner struggles between his growing love for Azari and his vows as a priest will keep every reader second guessing the ending. Lets not forget about the incredible sex between the two. It is too hot. I loved this book. 5 cups, Kathy, Coffee Time Romance I enjoyed reading Lucynda Storey’s REYNARDINE. It is a delightful look at the shape shifting genre through the eyes of a tortured man, who longs for more than he has been given. Agnis’ dedication to the morality of the wolves is an eye-opener and provides for a beautiful love story that unites two people from different worlds. I recommend this book to paranormal lovers who like their werewolves hot and their romances scorching. Ms. Storey’s Reynardine is a well written and erotically ardent read that will not disappoint. Lady Novelistic, Romance Junkies A good backstory about ancient lovers, modern-day conflict and poignant emotions make this paranormal more than just a wolf-with-fangs tale. 4 Stars! Faith V. “Last round in fifteen,” the bar’s only waitress announced to Sylvia and her group of friends. Sylvia glanced at her warm beer. She’d only managed to drink half of it before the drink lost its ice cold appeal. Not that she was much of a drinker. None of the friends with her at the High Plains bar were much more than social drinkers, so she was surprised when Brad protested the early end to the evening. Not that it was all that early. It was pushing 2am. She stifled a yawn. “Man, things were just getting interesting,” the tall blond announced. His companion, Travis Cassidy agreed. “You two,” he pointed at Sylvia and Lea Williams, “are finally being honest with us about what

women want. I’ve learned more sitting here the past hour with you two than I have in five years of dating.” “You could have learned any of this with a simple game of ‘Truth or Dare,’ guys.” Sylvia glanced from one handsome face to another, trying to gauge their sincerity, wondering if this was a come-on. “Any girl would share with you what we did if you asked in a fun way.” “Fun way?” Brad scoffed, his face wrinkled with a curious mixture of a smile and a frown while his nose wrinkled as if he’d just stepped in dog doo. “What sort of way would that be?” “Well, there’s the ‘Truth of Dare’ she just mentioned,” Lea piped in, her face highlighted in the bar’s dim light. “And other games like strip poker. Lots of women enjoy sex games and getting down and dirty. At least on occasion.” Brad stared at Lea for a moment then turned his brown laser-like gaze on Sylvia. “What about you? Do you enjoy sex games?” She shrugged. Games in the bedroom really depended on your partner. Not everyone liked the same sort of things as she’d discovered two summers ago. “Depends.” “Yeah, right.” Disbelief permeated those two words. “You were feeding us a line of shit.” Next to him, Travis nodded. His blue eyes held a cool indifference, probably to the conversation going on around him. Sylvia met Travis a year ago when they started in the same graduate program at the University of Colorado, studying ancient civilizations. They shared several common interests like architecture and traveling, but somehow had never progressed further.

“Bet me.” The words were out of her mouth before she’d thought them over. She was like that, blurting out, especially in regard to anything she perceived as a challenge. As if that had jolted him like an injection of adrenaline, Travis joined in. “Who’s apartment is the closest?” “That would be Sylvia’s,” Lea answered. “She’s doing a loft thing not far from here. Why?” The two men grinned at each other, a feral look in their eyes. A potent cocktail of hope and fear flopped Sylvia’s stomach. Around her the sounds of the remaining patrons diminished while Brad’s deep voice amplified. What had she just gotten Lea and herself into? “I’m thinking a real game of ‘Truth or Dare’ since you two seem so hot on it.” There was a touch of triumph in Brad’s voice, as if his challenge would cow her into some sort of corner reserved for braggarts and liars. Well, he was about to get the surprise of his life when he discovered she didn’t surrender without a damn good fight. She stood and slipped her arms into her windbreaker. The spring days were warm, but the nights hadn’t quite caught up. The foursome stepped outside and walked to the parking lot, splitting-up at the vehicles. The two men got into Travis’s jeep while Sylvia got into Lea’s yellow VW Bug. “Sorry for getting you into this, Lea.” “Don’t be. I think it will be the most fun I’ve had in ages.” Her blonde friend’s enthusiasm was contagious.

“What if it turns into,” she lowered her voice conspiratorially, “a wild orgy?” “Then I know it will be the most fun I’ve had in ages,” her friend shot back. “Hell, I’m twenty-five and haven’t been laid in a year, not since that jerk, Scott left. I wouldn’t mind doing the dirty with either one of them. Hell, both of them! A woman has needs you know!” Lea drove the short distance to Sylvia’s building, pulled into a parking space and opened the car door. The dome light revealed a sly, knowing smile on Lea’s face that made Sylvia’s stomach quiver with eager anticipation. Maybe her friend was right. They liked the guys they were with, no doubt about that. They’d known them from classes, study groups and research trips. In fact, Lea and Sylvia had spoken about the possibility of the two men being gay since they never seemed to be seen with women. Travis parked in the slot next to Lea’s car and the four of them walked into the building and rode the elevator to the loft level. No one said a word. It wasn’t quite weird, but rather more like each person was planning out some sort of strategy, trying to guess what the others might do when it came time to play their games. Sylvia did. She tried to imagine the wealth of possibilities a guy like Brad could conjure. While she knew Travis better, it was Brad who’d offered the challenge. In her mind, there was a big bull’s eye right at his crotch level. She pulled out her key and they entered her apartment, anticipation tickling her stomach. She reached out for the light switch, but Brad’s hand covered her fingers and stopped her from flicking it on.

“Candles?” There was an unexpected husky tone in his voice, reinforcing her feeling that the guys had planned some sort of strategy. “Uh, yeah,” she managed, her heart tripping faster. “There are some on the end tables and I’ve a couple in my bedroom.” “Go get them. I’ll light the ones out here.” “What? Are we having a séance?” She tried to be flippant but the words came out with more worry than nonchalance. “Let’s call it ambience.” Brad’s word tickled the nape of her neck and the flesh of her arms prickled with a hint of sexual arousal. She glanced over her shoulder but couldn’t read his expression. The way he said ‘ambience’ had her imagination going several different directions like a Roman candle. Did he think they were going to engage in some group sex the way she’d warned Lea? Or some other variation? Not that she’d mind either. She agreed in heart with Lea. Sex with someone you actually liked would be rather nice, far better than playing with her vibrator. Stumbling into her bedroom, Sylvia grabbed the two tall candlesticks from her bedroom. Each sconce held three wide candles at different heights and combined with the tea candles would provide the living room with romantic lighting. “Need some help with those?” Travis’s deep voice rumbled through her body like a kitten’s purr. Without a word, she handed him one of the candlesticks, her senses

highly aware of his nearness, a need for possession dampening her vagina. He headed toward the living room with Sylvia right behind. In the living room, several of the candles had been lit. The soft light belied the tension in her body, the hope that something would happen between her and either of these hunky men in her loft. Lea had been right about that…it had been far too long since either of them had been with a man, even though their lack of companionship had been entirely their own choice. Damn the graduate program to hell! “I opened a bottle of wine,” Lea announced to Sylvia. “I hope you don’t mind.” Sylvia shook her head. “Not at all.” She looked from one to the other but wasn’t able to get a feel for just exactly what the guys were thinking. Lea, on the other hand, practically vibrated with excitement. “So, Brad, what did you have in mind?” “You mentioned ‘Truth or Dare’ and I thought that maybe if you had a deck of cards we could really find out how into games the two of you are.” That challenge was in his voice again, the one tone that she always seemed to react to. “Yeah, I’ve a deck from the Ritz Carlton. Never been opened. What game?” Brad sat on the floor, holding a glass of wine in one hand and patting the couch cushion with another. “A friendly game of poker…five card draw. Know it?” Sure she did if it was anything like the video poker she played in Black Hawk. She positioned herself on the floor across from him, a

coffee table between them and set her wine glass down. Travis sat next to her while Lea flopped onto the waxed wooden floor next to Brad. “What are the stakes?” Travis asked. “I know, I know,” Lea exclaimed. “Strip poker.” The candles revealed enough for Sylvia to read the excitement in the eyes of her friends. “Okay. Strip poker it is.” “Well, not exactly,” said Brad. “I thought we’d combine it with your game of ‘Truth or Dare’ and that way we could find out a bit more about each other.” “How will it work?” Sylvia’s curiosity was aroused. She had a reputation for being honest and would play the game that way too, but the stakes Brad set forth could bring a quick ending to what she’d hoped would be a long night. She took a sip of her wine and waited for his answer. “Simple. Each person can decide when they ante if they will wager clothes, a dare, or a question. Winner of the round asks the question of the one who held the worst hand.” “Oh, this is going to be so much fun.” Lea giggled. Sylvia could see what Lea was planning on for her stakes in the poker game. Her clothes would come off as fast as she could possibly manage. Brad took the card deck and broke the seal, then shuffled. “Ante, ladies?” Lea went for her shoes, Sylvia opted for a ‘Truth or Dare.’ Swiftly, Brad dealt. Her hand to start wasn’t bad…a pair of eights a jack, a ten and a seven. Did she go for the nine? What card

should she throw away…? She dumped the seven, hoping for an eight or another high pair. “One card.” She picked it up. A three. Crap. One by one the others made their requests. Brad won the round. Even Lea had a better hand than she did with a pair of nine’s. “Looks like you loose, Sylvia,” Travis stated, then sipped his wine. She glanced at his cards on the table. And he’d won. “Truth or dare?” “Truth.” “Where were you the first time you were fucked?” Okay, so he was going to get down and dirty with his questions. “Under the football stands at South High School.” As each round progressed, the questions and clothes flew fast. Have you had anal intercourse? What was the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done? Have you ever fantasized about getting it on with a person of the same sex? The harsh sound of fanning preceded the shuffling; cards slid across the table, a cycle repeating itself in a room devoid of time. No dares. Just lots of wine, lots of questions and lots of clothing removed. The loft closed in, cozier, darker, a small slice of the world at large. She felt light-headed and knew she had to slow down on the wine or she’d wind up in bed with one of these guys and not remember how they got there. Lea sat kitty-corner from her wearing only her thong. Both men were down to their briefs. Sylvia wore the most, still in her matching leopard print bra and panties. Confident she would stay in the lead,

she overplayed her hand and lost the bra. She forced her hands to remain near the table, refused the temptation to cover her breasts. Her nipples pebbled in the cooler air and next to her she heard a soft whistle of what she assumed was appreciation. So Travis liked the view. Did Brad? “Like what you see, Brad?” He cocked his head, then nodded. “You both have a very nice, um, well, this is going to sound politically incorrect, but you both have a nice rack. Don’t you think so, Travis?” Travis nodded and Sylvia watched as the tip of his tongue traced his lips. The questions, ranging from sexual experiences to fantasies had definitely increased his libido if the bulge she saw in his briefs were an indication. She couldn’t deny all the sex talk had made her extra horny, too. She sidled closer until their thighs touched, careful to keep her cards close to her chest without covering her assets. Her toned leg absorbed the heat of his muscular one and desire renewed its race through her body, zipping through her veins, heat flushing her skin. He pierced her with his blue gaze and then placed his wager. “Truth or Dare.” “Truth or Dare,” she echoed in response, staring into his eyes. She lost. “I dare you to French, Lea.” A lump in her throat cut off Sylvia’s breathing for a moment. The first dare. A cold ball of anger filled her stomach, driving away the ardor she’d felt moments ago. She’d assumed that all the questions would be hetero in nature and the dares would follow suit. Asking her to kiss Lea wasn’t fair. “What?”
Bet Me
14
“You know what I mean. Stick you tongue down her throat. Kiss her like you’re her lover.” Lea’s eyes were wide, but not in fear. It was almost as if she knew that if she wanted some man meat between her legs they were going to have to do this. Like it was some sort of rite of passage. Fine. If they needed to put on a show so they could be fucked senseless then Sylvia would kiss Lea like she was going to give her a screaming orgasm. She stood and held out her hand to her friend. “Make sure you can see this, guys.” She looked at Brad, and then let her gaze linger on Travis. “Cause you’re only going to see this once.” Sylvia pulled Lea close to her and kissed her on the lips. She increased the pressure until Lea opened her mouth and then Sylvia invaded, sucking and swirling around Lea’s tongue until a breathy moan escaped her friend’s mouth. While kissing a woman like this was a first, it wasn’t nearly as bad as what Sylvia had imagined. On Lea’s face was a dazed look. “Satisfied, Travis?” She was smug and angry and it came out in her tone for sure. But, she could almost see the wheels of thought turning in Travis’s brain, as if he hadn’t anticipated her meeting this dare. For the next round, she bet clothes and lost her panties. Lea too, had lost the flimsy thongs. “I think we’re getting near the end of this game,” Brad announced. “What will it be ladies? Your acquiescence right now or a final hand.”

Lea had the surrender look written all over her face, so Sylvia spoke up. “One last round of ‘Truth or Dare.’ The winner takes what he or she wants. The loser delivers.” A wicked grin spread across Brad’s handsome face. “Sounds like my kind of stakes. Don’t you think so, Travis?” “Sure does.” His grin was slower to spread, but when it finally appeared there was more to it too. A surety that this was the one hand he would win. A confidence oozed into the room and filled the space with nothing but Travis and his burgeoning desire. Desire that was evident in the large hard-on straining his briefs. Who would she end up with, Brad or Travis? Both had been attentive during the discussions at the bar, but would they apply what they’d learned? This was a new level to their relationship and intuitively she knew the wrong man would set her back emotionally further than the last boyfriend she’d broken up with. So who did she really want to experiment with? Brad was the louder of the two men, but other than personalities, they were a lot alike. Both were tall and muscular without being huge. They were the kind of guys that could hold their own in a fight if it came to that but who on the outside didn’t have a threatening appearance. Brad was blond with warm, intelligent brown eyes while Travis had dark hair and blue eyes that alternated between sparkling with humor and being ice cold. Either man had the potential for being an excellent companion and friend. It remained to be seen if they could deliver the goods in bed. But, there was something about Travis. Maybe his overall quiet attitude, maybe the fact she’d been in class with him and seen his

rapier sharp wit in action. If she had a choice, Travis would be the man of the night, the man she slept with, the first man in her bed in ages. She glanced at his face and saw a hint there, meant for her, that he wanted her. Then why had he made her kiss Lea? Why didn’t he ask for something for himself? A kiss, a grope, a blow-job? The cards were dealt. Sylvia held her breath. A queen, a ten, a pair of threes and a five. Crap. She held the queen and the three’s. Maybe she’d get lucky. “Truth or Dare,” Brad said, challenge back in his voice. “Dare,” said Lea. “Dare,” said Travis. “What will it be, Sylvia?” The words came from Brad but the voice in her head morphed to sound like Travis, the question ricocheting. If she wanted Travis, she had to ante up a dare. “Dare.” “Dare,” said Brad. “We’re all in. Cards?” Lea took two, Travis one. “Two.” It was a poor hand but maybe she’d get dealt something to beef it up. Sylvia picked slid her cards closer, but didn’t look. “Dealer takes one.” “Damn it,” Lea trilled, batting her eyelashes at Brad. “I don’t have anything.” Sylvia glanced at Lea’s cards. “Wait. You have two pair. Eights and threes. King high.” Lea’s eyes widened. “That’s good?” “Remind me never to take you to Vegas or Black Hawk.” Sylvia couldn’t believe her ears. How had Lea managed to get through this
Lucynda Storey

game at all? A memory from earlier flashed. Lea wanted to lose, wanted to take her clothes off, wanted to get laid. Travis was next. He also had two pair, sevens and deuces. Lea’s hand beat his. Sylvia picked up her card. The four of spades and a nine gave her bunko. “I really have nothing.” Brad placed his cards on the table. “A pair of dueces. The rest is garbage. Looks like Lea wins and I lose.” Three pairs of eyes turned to stare at Lea expectantly. What would her dare be? “Since Travis made Sylvia kiss me earlier, I think we deserve some payback. While I personally don’t object to those who find their fulfillment in the homosexual lifestyle, it’s not my preferred method of sexual satisfaction.” Sylvia could easily imagine the cogs turning in Lea’s brain. Travis was sure to pay and dearly for his little stunt. Lea stood, swaying her hips as she walked to the window and back again. “Seems to me that there should be oral for oral.” “Thanks a lot pal.” Brad’s words revealed his distress at the turn of events. “I’m not exactly into that either.” His glare at Travis served as further emphasis and sent a tremor of excitement through Sylvia. They weren’t gay. “That didn’t seem to be a consideration earlier.” Lea defended her position. “I think it was a turn-on for you to see women kiss that way.” She smiled and in that moment, a shiver of delight ran through Sylvia’s body. Pay back was such a bitch. “I think you boys thought you’d bring

us here to star in your own private porn show.” Lea gripped her waist with her hands. “Maybe we’d like to see something, too.” “I swear I’m not ac/dc.” His voice raised an octave in protest. He definitely wasn’t happy about the possibilities of having to do something sexual with Travis. “I dare Travis to make Sylvia come any way he can.” The sighs from the men sounded like a hot air balloon being deflated. Candlelight flickered, the muted light dancing off the empty wine glasses. Travis leaned over Sylvia and kissed her. Her hands went around his neck and beneath her fingers she could feel the strength of his muscles. The position was damn awkward and she climbed onto his lap rubbing against him intimately. His hands strayed over her back, caressed her ass, and sent shivers of need and longing through her. She shifted on his lap, her wet pussy stroking his hot cock, rubbing against him and turning her on further. Somewhere a flash of modesty arced, like a momentary zap of static electricity. Fuck! She couldn’t do this; make love to him with an audience. Sure she knew Lea well, but well enough to allow her to view the most intimate of acts? And Brad? Maybe someday the four would be close enough to shed their sexual inhibitions totally. But that day hadn’t arrived. She glanced over her shoulder and smiled. The other two were busy making their own fireworks.

“Want to use the bed,” she whispered, her voice husky with desire and relief. Somehow Travis maneuvered in such a way that he had an arm beneath her arms and another under her knees. He gracefully lifted her and carried her to the bedroom, toeing open the door. When he set her on the bed, Sylvia’s pulse fluttered in her throat. This man was so beautiful. Too gorgeous to be in bed with her. He could have any woman he wanted. He didn’t’ need to bed her because of a stupid sex game. Guilt seized her at the way they were going to use one another. The light of a street lamp filtered into the room through a lace curtain. He lay next to her, so close she could make out the ice blue color of his eyes staring at her on the bed. Her skin flushed her embarrassment. He didn’t turn away so he must like, want what she had to offer, right? Well, hell. She was giving it up for free. What man wouldn’t like that? She found her tongue, made it move, made words come out that stuck in her mouth like Kleenex. “We don’t have to do this,” she managed. Travis’s response was simple. He traced the outline of her jaw with his fingertip, sending little sparks dancing along her nerves. “Do you want me to stop?” She shook her head. This hunk, with the sexy voice and a body to die for was in her bed. Her bed! No, she didn’t want to stop, didn’t want to think, but her mind wouldn’t stop, wouldn’t give her peace until

she knew he really wanted to be here, really wanted her. “I don’t normally do this. Pick up guys I barely know and bring them home.” “I know.” Simple, sexy, seductive. “You do?” Her voice didn’t sound near as nice. “I know you study hard. Harder than me. I know I’ve never seen you with another man since I’ve met you. I know you’re incredibly sexy.” Oh my. He’d been keeping tabs on her? Wait! He thought she was sexy? “You do?” “Brad and I were at our wits ends trying to find a way to get you two to notice us. We followed you to the movies tonight and created that chance encounter.” She reached out a hand and stroked his cheek, the beginnings of beard stubble rough against her palm. Brad and Travis created the opportunity to be with them. The thought was mind-blowing, humbling, and addictive as hell. She let her palm stroke his jaw, slip down his neck and shoulders to the firm muscles of his chest. Her finger lingered a moment, toying with his nipple before straying lower. “Sylvia, I’m warning you. You’ll find out the truth if you go further. I want to do this. I’ve been imagining you beneath me for months.” Slipping her hand beneath the waistband of his briefs, she touched the hard cock she’d thought about off and on all evening. Hot and silky soft encased the long shaft. Her caress continued until she

reached the fuzzy hair of his balls and she cupped her palm around them. Before she could think further, Travis kissed her, forced her mouth open to accept his tongue, stroking hers back and forth until she moaned. His hand covered her breast, squeezing and releasing until her nipple was a large aching point of sexual need. His touch, rough, yet gentle fanned the flames of her desire, taking her to a fevered pitch she hadn’t been at in months. She spread her legs beneath him; the invitation blatant. He took what she offered, his hand traveling into the nest of damp curls hiding her sex. She moaned when one of his fingers entered her. Another followed, and then his thumb was on her clit, rubbing, teasing, sending shockwaves throughout her lower body. Dear God, she was so ready to be fucked. Maybe he’d come back. Maybe this would be a one nighter. Right now, she didn’t care. Travis and what he did to her body had become her only cosmos. A cosmos that rocked, rolled, shimmied, swayed and erupted into more sensations than she could catalogue. “I think you’re ready for me.” A single, simple statement of fact. And then, he was at her entrance, slipping into her lubricated pussy and filling her with all of the delicious heat she’d stroked with her palm. She gasped, uttering a surprised, “Oh” at the marvelous way he claimed her body with his cock. With a tip of her hips, she brought him more fully into her and every plunge Travis made twisted her nerves until they felt like an

electrical wire on overload, sparking and in danger of setting everything around her on fire. “Harder,” she begged, needing release. He complied, driving into her deeply, his balls slapping against her. She bucked, he plunged, and when he leaned over and took her nipple into his mouth sucking and biting the sensitive tip, she screamed in intense pleasure. “I’m coming!” Violent spasms ripped through her pussy and she clutched his organ with her muscles in a milking motion that had him grunting. “Oh, baby, oh fuck, ohhh!” He shot his load into her, quaking as his orgasm raced through his body leaving goose bumps in its wake. The arms that had held his weight sagged, but Travis managed to keep from collapsing on her. Hot cum dribbled out of her pussy while she drifted back to earth once more. Vaguely, she was aware of his arms cradling her to his chest, her ear listening to the rapid pounding of his heart slowing, moving to a more normal cadence. Nestled against him felt heavenly, as if this were the place she’d longed to be for an eternity of memories. A place she’d tried in vain to find on her own. “Penny for your thoughts.” This was a question, spoken softly, with care and concern. Did she answer truthfully? Would such a confession scare him out of bed and back into his jeans? She gave an internal shrug. She’d been honest before about getting laid beneath the football stands. Why change her modus operandi? “Are you sure you want an answer?” “I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t.”

“Why did you make me kiss Lea?” He laughed, a low rumble that vibrated his chest which in turn made the soft hairs there tickle her cheek. She choked back her own giggle. “I’m serious.” “I wanted to make sure you weren’t in a lesbian relationship with her. It was the one thing Brad and I couldn’t tell for sure.” He stroked her hair. “Now, tell me what else is in that brilliant brain of yours.” She snuggled closer, inhaling his scent and the musk of their lovemaking. “I was thinking how good it felt to be in your arms.” “Not what an amazing lover I am?” There was a hint of tease in his voice. Sylvia giggled, a soft sound that warmed the room. He was a man with a sense of humor. “There was that.” Beneath her cheek she felt his chest swell with pride and she giggled again. She took a deep breath and then spoke her mind. “Am I going to see you again after tonight?” In the dark, in the wee hours of the morning, in the place where confessions and dreams drifted on quiet, serious wings, she heard his sincere reply. “I don’t know where this will go, Sylvia. I wanted you a long time. I’ve half convinced myself months ago I was in love with you as if I were a lovesick teenager with a crush. I only know I want to take this path with you right now and see.” She smiled, wrapped in the warmth of his arms. An unknown future was better than a one night stand. Even if the guys had used a

game of strip poker to get them into bed, Sylvia appreciated that Travis at least hoped for something more. This was one bet that paid off. For now, their winnings were good enough. The End
